Before the second Test, after Pope had gone badly with his reviews in the first, Pope said he was going to put a lot of trust in Jamie Smith because the England keeper has good judgement. I'm not sure I've seen him ask Smith once.

I have some great memories of watching Moeen Ali play for England. Remember a 5th day at Lord's v New Zealand where he took a great catch and the crowd erupted. Lovely man, great cricketer.

Only one or two England players went up for caught behind here but I heard something.

Ben Duckett has run off to get ready to bat already. He's confident.

All to Mo's credit that he was mucked about by various captains, selectors, and coaches over the years, and kept coming back when asked, and always did his utmost. Other players would have (as several others did during the same period) made it clear what they thought about the England management. But Moeen was always humble and decent and forgiving and showed up and frequently performed. A real professional.
