Not out - as everyone in the ground knew.

    I'm saying nothing.

They were probably hoping for more runs.

What this clip doesn't show you is the bouncers which Olly Stone used to unsettle Milan Rathnayake. That's what caused him to play this loose shot.

What a shot that is. He's been backing away and he picked the right ball to take a waft at it.

Joe Root is grinning at slip as Asitha Fernando backs away and connects only with thin air.

Maybe Fernando saw him because he charges the next ball and smacks it over Olly Stone's head for four!

A Moeen memory of sorts... in T20 cricket, Moeen strikes at 151 against spin bowling, the third highest ever behind only Chris Gayle and Glenn Maxwell (min 2000 runs). A highly unusual and almost unique English cricketer.

Yeah, wait a few minutes before putting your Yorkshire puddings in. A wicket is coming, I reckon.

    Asitha Fernando swings and misses.

Moeen Ali has always been my favourite player - I first became obsessed with cricket in 2009 with Jimmy’s bravery at Cardiff. But the first cricketer I actively made the choice to throw my lot in with, was Mo. Defending him, celebrating him, Mo was the best player for a young person to support- positive, proud of his heritage, humble, adaptable. Also I could watch him bat and bowl all day and twice on Sundays. Cheers Mo!

Big waft outside the off stump for Rathnayake, there was no foot movement.

He's had a big drive at and not connected well it, it's a comfortable catch by Smith.

    Rathnayake c Smith b Stone 7 (SL 248-9)

The catching may have been ropey but this is very good bowling from Olly Stone.

He unsettled Milan Rathnayake with some short balls and then throws one wider. The left-hander cannot help but chase it and nicks behind.

England have nine. Stone, like Josh Hull, has three.

England have taken 45 wickets this year with bowlers aged 20 or younger.

That's the most for any year in their history and the next best is 18 wickets, back in 2018.

The plan is clear from Josh Hull.

Push Lahiru Kumara back with a bouncer - this one flies over the keeper for four byes - and then fire in a yorker. Kumara defends successfully this time.

  18. SL 243-8published at 55 overs

A maiden to start from Olly Stone. Good but he's not reprieved yet.

One more over for Josh Hull to try and get five?

Olly Stone went very early with the fingers up, normally you do that when you're running backwards. It looked very awkward.
