    50 for Jack Haynes

    Notts 163-3 v Somerset

    Jack Haynes moves to 50 with a flick through the on side for four off Migael Pretorius to move to a 52-ball 50 with nine fours.

    He was dropped by Tom Abell at slip early in his innings and that's looking costly now.

    That's his fourth half century of the season.

    50 for Dom Sibley

    Worcs v Surrey118-2

    This is a very inexperienced Worcestershire side, with the likes of Joe Leach and Brett D'Oliveira absent.

    Dom Sibley helps a short ball from Matthew Waits down to square leg for a single and reaches 50 off 108 balls.

  3. Warwks v Hants 125-2

    James Vince is forward to Ed Barnard to block and is off the mark second ball, which is wider and cut through point for four.

    He didn't quite middle that but there was still plenty of flow and power going into that shot.

    Solid start from the Hampshire captain.

    The keeper is standing up to Barnard now and Vince drives and misses the next ball.

    The last ball nips back and hits the pad but it's given not out.

    Great ball though, with a fair bit of movement off the seam.

    Nope, Lancs not missing Jimmy at all...

    Two wickets in the space of 10 Lancashire deliveries as Harry Finch drives George Balderson straight to a grateful Josh Bohannon at cover.

  5. 'Oh, Jimmy, Jimmy...'

    Kent 108-3 v Lancashire

    Right now, Lancashire's attack looking like they don't necessarily need Jimmy Anderson.

    A reminder, he has travelled with the Red Rose today but hasn't been risked with his big England farewell coming up next month.

    And he delighted spectators at Canterbury at lunch with a few practice deliveries - as well as signing autographs and posing for selfies.

    Wouldn't it have been great to see this out in the middle today?

    We have to respect, though, that Anderson knows exactly how much match practice he needs before his final Test appearance.

  6. Notts pass 150 three down at Trent Bridge

    Notts 159-3 v Somerset

    Craig Overton strays down the leg side and Joe Clarke tucks the ball round the corner for four.

    That takes Notts past 150 in the 38th over.

    Jack Haynes picks up four more, driving Migael Pretorius through cover on the front foot at the other end.

    Pretorius bowls a half volley and that will cost four more, driven through cover point.

  7. 'Evison has looked out of sorts after break'

    Joey Evison looked really good before lunch but he's looked really out of sorts after the break.

    Matty Hurst takes a pretty straightforward catch and Tom Bailey gets the breakthrough for Lancashire.

    That's exactly the way that they wanted to start this second session of the day.

    We were saying that maybe Kent just shaded it having only been two down at lunch but that has been turned around pretty quickly after it.

    Another tidy over from Chris Woakes, bowling round the wicket to the left-handed Nick Gubbins, who leaves off cutters outside the line of the off stump.

    Fletcha Middleton plays Ed Barnard late, dropping the ball defensively into the off side and then cuts the next ball to deep backward point for one.

    Out! That ball might have straightened a fraction to Nick Gubbins as the Hampshire number three edges waist high to Will Rhodes at first slip.

    Hampshire captain James Vince is in next.

    Important wicket for the Red Rose in the battle at the bottom of Division One.

    Tom Bailey breaks Kent's 64 third-wicket partnership by getting Joey Evison to swipe at one - and Matty Hurst takes the catch behind the stumps.

    It's only his second Championship game of the season, and he's batting in an unfamiliar role at the top of the order, but Oli Carter has a 106-ball half-century for Sussex.

    He glances Wiaan Mulder aerially for four and tucks the South African's next for a couple to square leg to bring up his 50.

    It's been a really good innings for his side after Ian Holland reduced them to 34-3 during the morning.

    Runs continue to flow at Trent Bridge as Jack Haynes moves to 30 with a four punched through the off side on the back foot off Craig Overton.

    The pitch has more than a tinge of green but the bounce has been true with only a little movement off the seam.

  12. Warwks v Hants 116-1

    The sun has disappeared behind a thin coating of cloud but this is still a pleasant summer's day for cricket - and that's a gorgeous drive from Fletcha Middleton, driving Ed Barnard through point for four.

    Barnard recovers well with a much straighter line and no more runs are scored in the over.

    You can't afford any errors in line or length at Visit Worcestershire New Road.

    Ben Allison overpitches outside off stump and Dom Sibley seizes on it, with a boundary taking him to 47 not out.

    Funny moment at the end of George Balderson's first over of the afternoon session for Lancashire.

    Wicketkeeper Matty Hurst and Keaton Jennings collide in going for a return throw.

    Unsurprisingly, Hurst is the one to fall - he's a big lad that Jennings!

  15. Division Two update

    An early boost for Glamorgan as Andy Gorvin has in-form Emilio Gay caught at first slip for 65 in the second over after lunch - Northants are 109-3.

    Yorkshire start the afternoon with a couple of boundaries for Finlay Bean off Zaman Akhter at Scarborough - they are 116-0 and Bean has 41.

    Leus du Plooy plays Daryn Dupavillion away through mid-wicket for four at Lord's, where Middlesex are 96-2 in the 32nd over.

    Only a single added by Sussex so far since lunch at Hove - they are 85-3 against Leicestershire.

    Joe Clarke drives a half volley through the off side for four to move on to 23 not out.

    Another half volley brings three more runs as Clarke doesn't time the drive quite as sweetly.

    Jack Haynes keeps the strike with a nudged single to long leg.

    Chris Woakes starts the session with a maiden over.

    Fletcha Middleton is stuck on the crease to Ed Barnard's third ball, but he dabs it down and the ball runs away to third man for three.

    A bit of extra bounce there.

    Shot! A bit of width outside off and Nick Gubbins drives through extra cover for four. A low full toss.

    The last ball keeps low and an inside edge curtails the LBW shout.

    The South African has 50 off 52 balls at Chelmsford in what has been almost a chanceless knock.

    Jack Haynes gets a single first ball after lunch to fine leg off Jake Ball.

    The fifth ball is a half volley on off stump, driven through cover for four by Joe Clarke.

    There's still movement for the older ball as the bowler brings one back in off the seam to end the over with a dot ball.
