  1. 100 for Adam Lythpublished at 15:28 23 June

    Yorks 212-0 v Gloucs

Ed Middleton overpitches and Adam Lyth drives it through the covers for four to reach his fourth Championship century of the season off 179 balls.

It is the 36th hundred of his career and you have to wonder whether seven Test caps - albeit it with an undistinguished average of 20 - was enough for a player of his ability.

  2. WICKET Smith c Hose b Finch 86published at 15:26 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 188-4

The other major contributor to Surrey's score is gone.

Jamie Smith pulls a short ball from Adam Finch and Adam Hose takes an excellent low catch - his third of the innings.

Smith hit 16 fours in his 137-ball knock and has been replaced in the middle by Dan Lawrence.

    Quite a handy replacement, then.

  3. Postpublished at 15:24 23 June

    Sussex 238-4 v Leics

    Mind your heads!!

Fynn Hudson-Prentice is down the track and hammers Lewis Goldsworthy down the ground for six.

He repeats it next ball, this one fractionally more to the on-side.

FHP has 24 at a rate of a run a ball so far.

  4. Postpublished at 15:24 23 June

    Notts 194-7 v Somerset

Calvin Harrison is befuddled by Kasey Aldridge, playing around a ball that fizzes past the off stump.

He has just the one run off 21 balls.

Olly Stones drives Jake Ball past Tom Banton at extra cover for one and Harrison digs out a yorker.

It feels like only a matter of time for Somerset, who have hardly conceded a run since the last wicket fell.

  5. Kent digging inpublished at 15:22 23 June

    Kent 159-5 v Lancashire

Real digging-in from Kent's sixth-wicket pair Tawanda Muyeye and debutant Charlie Stobo at Canterbury.

Their stand is 35 runs from 83 balls - helped by a lofty four straight down the ground from Stobo at the end of the 52nd over of the day.

  6. Division Two updatepublished at 15:19 23 June

Northants skipper Luke Procter has been very consistent this season but misses out on another 50 as he is lbw to Harry Podmore for 48 against Glamorgan - they are now 167-5.

Gloucestershire's torment continues at Scarborough, with Yorkshire now 196-9 and Adam Lyth and Finlay Bean both into the 90s.

  7. Liam Dawson sweeps for glorypublished at 15:16 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 187-4

A short leg comes in for Danny Briggs, who comes back into the attack for his second spell.

A stymied shout for LBW as Liam Dawson plays forward and is struck on the pad.

Dawson tries to sweep the second but doesn't clear short leg.

But he connects emphatically next ball, sweeping over mid wicket for six runs.

  8. 'Leicestershire's decision to bowl first looks questionable'published at 15:16 23 June

Sussex are stepping on the accelerator at Hove, adding 100 runs since lunch at over seven an over.

Ollie Carter has led the charge adding 61 since the break and was on the verge of his second first-class century when he was caught and bowled attempting to pull Scott Currie to bring up three figures.

The Leicestershire bowling has been ragged since the break and with the sun out and a good pitch the decision to bowl first looks questionable .

  9. Durham dominant at Chelmsfordpublished at 15:16 23 June

    Essex v Durham 243-3

Ollie Robinson with a ridiculously cheeky ramp chip over the keeper for Durham.

His partnership with Alex Lees is past the 60 mark. Lees on 92, eight runs from a century, which would be his second of the season.

  10. Postpublished at 15:13 23 June

    Notts 192-7 v Somerset

Calvin Harrison is in block mode against the bowling of Jake Ball.

    Maiden over.

Kasey Aldridge is hunting for a fifth wicket as he bangs the ball in short and gets it to whizz past the nose of Olly Stone.

Is that wise, given Stone's extreme pace?

Another maiden. Notts look decidedly stuck.

  11. 50 for Leus du Plooypublished at 15:12 23 June

    Middlesex 159-3 v Leics

Leus du Plooy has been a very good signing for Middlesex and he reaches another half-century off 94 balls against his former county by forcing Luis Reece square for four.

It also brings up a 50 partnership with Ryan Higgins, who is 23 not out at the other end.

  12. Flurry of fours at Hovepublished at 15:11 23 June

    Sussex 215-4 v Leics

Four fours off Ben Mike in a single over for John Simpson as the Sussex skipper moves into the 80s.

Two through mid-on, one past cover and a thick edge to backward point all reach the rope - and Simpson has 15 in total now.

  13. Postpublished at 15:08 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 174-4

Hampshire still have a chance of picking up batting points with Ben Brown and Liam Dawson at the crease.

Brown gets four on bended knee with a flashing drive through cover off Will Rhodes.

He moves on to 21 and Dawson moves to 11 with a neat drive through cover from the crease off Craig Miles.

  14. WICKET Sibley c Hose b Bashir 76published at 15:06 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 176-3

Shoaib Bashir tries his luck from round the wicket and floats one up which Dom Sibley sweeps for four.

There's the breakthrough, though, as Sibley is caught at mid-wicket by Adam Hose.

The Surrey opener is furious with himself for giving it away and contemplates bashing his bat into the turf before slapping it on the palm of his left glove.

  16. Postpublished at 15:04 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 172-2

Jamie Smith has an ungainly stance as he waits for the bowler to reach the apex of his run-up but there's not a lot wrong with the way he plays his shots.

Tom Taylor toils in again and is lifted over mid-on for four as Smith moves into the 80s at New Road.

His stand with Dom Sibley is now worth 143.

  17. WICKET James c Rew b Aldridge 5published at 15:03 23 June

    Notts 190-7 v Somerset

Kasey Aldridge has a fourth scalp.

Lyndon James is stuck on the crease, not fully committed to attack or defence, edging to keeper James Rew.

Time for Olly Stone to have a bat.

He has a highest first class score of 90. Just saying.

  18. Postpublished at 15:03 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 162-4

This has been a seam-dominated day's play for the Warwickshire attack with Danny Briggs bowling just three out of the 48 overs to date.

Ben Brown leaves Oliver Hannon-Dalby outside off stump.

OHD gets a ball to shape back into Brown, who leaves at the last possible moment. This game has transformed in Warwickshire's favour since lunch.

Brown picks up a single to backward square leg off the fifth ball and Liam Dawson defends.

  19. Postpublished at 15:01 23 June

    Kent 140-5 v Lancashire

Kent really battening down the hatches now, as the saying goes.

Maiden over for Nathan Lyon but the hosts taking zero chances - still 100 away from a batting bonus point, remember.

  20. WICKET Moores c Lammonby b Aldridge 1published at 14:54 23 June

    Notts 185-6 v Somerset

The Notts wheels are coming off.

Tom Moores is the sixth wicket to fall, back in the crease and edging a Kasey Aldridge bouncer to Tom Lammonby in the gully.

Notts have lost three for six runs in four overs.

    Calvin Harrison is in next.
