  1. Postpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 152-4

Will Rhodes oversteps bowling to Liam Dawson and that no ball takes Hampshire to 150 in the 46th over.

Warwickshire however have had the best of this session of play, taking all bar one of the wickets to fall since lunch and will be firmly on top if they can prize another one out now.

  2. wicket

WICKET Carter c and b Currie 96published at 14:48 British Summer Time 23 June

    Sussex 190-4 v Leicestershire

    What a pity.

A century was there for the taking for Oli Carter, but after two fours earlier in the over, he top edges an attempted pull shot and bowler Scott Currie does the backwards shuffle before taking a simple catch.

Carter faced 142 balls and hit a six and 15 fours. He put on 156 with John Simpson, who is 65 not out.

  3. Postpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 156-2

Surrey are looking to lift the tempo now.

Jamie Smith lofts Tom Taylor over cover for four to take the total to 150 and there's another boundary at the start of the paceman's next over, though that is less convincing, sliced away where gully might have been.

  4. wicket

WICKET Haynes c C Overton b Pretorius 55published at 14:47 British Summer Time 23 June

    Notts 185-5 v Somerset

Somerset are roaring back into this game on a pitch that has only occasionally offered movement.

Jack Haynes is the fifth wicket to fall, stuck on the crease with a loose defensive push off Migael Pretorius and edging to Craig Overton at a lone slip.

Lyndon James joins Tom Moores on an increasingly burning deck, so to speak.

  5. Bedingham's run is overpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 23 June

    Durham 208-3 v Essex

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

David Bedingham's run of consecutive centuries in the County Championship has come to an end.

After 144 at Hampshire in May, he followed it with 103 and 101 at Blackpool and 101 against Somerset.

He was the first Durham batsman to reach centuries in four consecutive innings and having passed 50 again today I thought he would be on his way to a fifth.

Simon Harmer had other ideas. Following a conversation with his skipper, he delivered a ball which had Bedingham caught behind on 65. It ended a third-wicket stand with Alex Lees of 95.

Lees is now on 76 while Ollie Robinson has 18. Harmer needs three more wickets for 450 in first-class cricket for Essex.

  6. wicket

    WICKET Vince c Hain b Hannon-Dalby 9published at 14:42 British Summer Time 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 148-4

And the Hampshire captain is out.

James Vince played patiently until this ball from Oliver Hannon-Dalby, which he tries to force away off the back foot but ends up edging to slip.

That's a fine catch from Sam Hain after missing an easier chance this morning, taken low and diving to his left.

    Liam Dawson will bat next.

  7. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 148-3

Will Rhodes bowls a no ball which James Vince pushes away square for a single.

The fifth ball is full and clipped square by Ben Brown for four.

Brown waves his bat in frustration as he plays and misses the last ball of the over.

This session of the play feels very much in the balance, with two wickets falling since lunch.

  8. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 23 June

    Kent 131-5 v Lancashire

Not an easy situation for Charlie Stobo to make his County Championship debut for Kent - but he drives George Balderson to long-off to open his account with a four.

  9. 200 runs

200 up for Durhampublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 23 June

    Essex v Durham 200-3

Ollie Robinson drives Simon Harmer to cover for four to bring up Durham's 200 at Chelmsford.

This has been a very good innings from the visitors in general - led by Alex Lees, who remains unbeaten on 75.

  10. 'Fine stuff by Balderson'published at 14:35 British Summer Time 23 June

    Kent 124-5 v Lancashire

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Fine stuff by George Balderson for Lancashire today.

  11. wicket

WICKET Clarke c Banton b Aldridge 51published at 14:34 British Summer Time 23 June

    Notts 173-4 v Somerset

Migael Pretorius twice beats Joe Clarke outside the off stump, conceding just the one run off his over.

Jack Haynes pulls Kasey Aldridge square for a single to move to 52.

Joe Clarke reaches his 50 with an angled bat to third man for his 10th four.

    74 balls.

And he's out next ball! He drives a full ball outside off and picks out Tom Banton at cover point.

Wicket keeper Tom Moores is in next.

  12. wicket

WICKET Compton c Jennings b Balderson 55published at 14:31 British Summer Time 23 June

    Kent 124-5 v Lancashire

This Kent innings is falling apart. They're bottom of Division One and can ill-afford such a poor first innings.

Opener Ben Compton compiled a very tidy 55, in fairness, so the fault doesn't lie with him.

But he can't resist a tempter from George Balderson and edges to Keaton Jennings at second slip. That's 3-22 from Balderson now, superb figures.

  13. Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 136-2

Dom Sibley uses his feet and lofts Shoaib Bashir over mid-off for four.

Was that a chance? Jamie Smith tries to cut and the ball may have flicked the glove of keeper Gareth Roderick before running away for a single.

  14. wicket

WICKET Middleton b Barnard 74published at 14:29 British Summer Time 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 134-3

    Breakthrough.

Ed Middleton misses a straightening ball from Ed Barnard, which clips the top of the stumps.

That moved a lot off the seam.

Now it's time for Ben Brown to have a bat.

  15. Division Two updatepublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 23 June

While we were writing up those various 50s, Middlesex have lost their third wicket at Lord's - Max Holden was superbly caught at second slip off Daryn Dupavillon for 36 and they are 119-3 against Derbyshire.

Northants skipper Luke Procter is now into the 40s against Glamorgan in what has been a very consistent season for him - and the visitors are 146-3 after 40 overs.

Oli Carter has the bit between his teeth now after passing 50 for Sussex at Hove and another boundary takes him to 73 not out in a score of 142-3 against Leicestershire.

  16. Notts on the chargepublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 23 June

    Notts 173-3 v Somerset

Lovely shot from Joe Clarke, moving forward to Kasey Aldridge and driving through cover for four.

A fifth ball bouncer is pulled by Clarke via a top edge for four to take the fourth-wicket partnership past the 100-mark off 131 balls.

  17. Postpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 134-2

Fletcha Middleton plays Ed Barnard late with an angled bat to pick up three runs to third man.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby replaces Chris Woakes from the City End.

His third ball flies past the keeper via the pad of James Vince for a leg bye.

Fletcha Middleton keeps the strike with a flashing stroke to third man for a single.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Finlay Beanpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 23 June

    Yorks 135-0 v Gloucs

Suddenly, it's raining 50s - but thankfully that's the only sort of rain we're getting today.

Finlay Bean chops spinner Ollie Price away to extra cover for a single to bring up his half-century from 125 balls.

  19. 50 runs

50 for Jamie Smithpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 123-2

    Jamie SmithImage source, Rex Features

Jamie Smith follows Dom Sibley to 50 and does it from 25 balls fewer.

He's a bit fortunate, though, that Worcestershire had taken second slip out as he edges Ben Allison away for his ninth boundary after an odd-looking shuffle out of his crease.

  20. wicket

WICKET Bedingham c Pepper b Harmer 65published at 14:19 British Summer Time 23 June

    Essex v Durham 178-3

Simon Harmer celebrates a wicket with team-mate Jordan CoxImage source, Rex Features

The Alex Lees-David Bedingham partnership is broken just short of their century stand.

Simon Harmer has taken some punishment today, conceding 60 runs off his previous 12 overs.

But the spinner strikes at the start of the 13th as David Bedingham is denied a sixth County Championship century of the season, nicking behind for wicketkeeper Michael Pepper's third catch of the Durham innings.
