Adam Lyth takes a single off Ollie Price and he and Finlay Bean post a new club record first-wicket partnership against Gloucestsrshire.

It beats the 275 by Percy Holmes and Herbert Sutcliffe at the Wagan Works Ground in Gloucester 97 years ago.

Next target, the record stand for any wicket for Yorkshire against Gloucestershire - which currently stands at 330.

Lyth is 117 not out and Bean - who has visibly grown in stature as the day has progressed - on 144.

  2. 'Bears will fancy their chances if they get another before new ball'published at 16:30 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 241-6

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

We are 16 overs away from the new ball and if they get another one before then, Warwickshire might fancy their chances of wrapping it up.

  3. Postpublished at 16:29 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 241-6

Dawson picks up a single first ball and Barker drives down the ground for two.

    Oliver Hannon-Dalby will bowl next.

  4. Postpublished at 16:28 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 219-4

Back in the middle at New Road.

A couple of quick wickets and Worcestershire will be very happy with the situation.

But in Ben Foakes and Dan Lawrence, Surrey have two England batters at the crease who are well capable of a sizeable partnership.

    Should be an interesting session.

  5. Play resumes at Edgbastonpublished at 16:26 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 238-6

Liam Dawson (40 not out) and Keith Barker (18 not out) are back in the middle for Hampshire.

Chris Woakes will bowl to Dawson.

  6. Postpublished at 16:23 23 June

    Notts 226-7 v Somerset

This has been a really good rear-guard from Calvin Harrison, who has chiselled out 18 runs in 71 balls since the seventh wicket fell this afternoon.

In the crash bang wallop style of the T20 it's easy to forget the value of an innings of this type - as long as it isn't played in a T20!

Harrison blocks out another over from Jack Leach and Notts are 24 short of a batting point.

  7. Batting point for Tykespublished at 16:22 23 June

    Yorks 256-0 v Gloucs

This really is agony now for Gloucestershire.

Three singles off Ollie Price earn Yorkshire a first batting point and Finlay Bean celebrates by slog-sweeping the next ball into the bench seats at mid-wicket for six.

He is 130 not out and Adam Lyth has 113.

  8. 'The session started and ended with wickets for Lancashire'published at 16:21 23 June

    Kent 210-6 v Lancashire - tea

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

The session started with wickets for Lancashire and it ended with a wicket for Lancashire.

In the middle of it a very good partnership for Kent.

  9. Tea at Lord'spublished at 16:19 23 June

    Middlesex 189-5 v Derbyshire

A Daryn Dupavillon maiden to Ryan Higgins ends proceedings for the afternoon at the home of cricket.

Middlesex were 171-3, but lost Leus du Plooy (57) and Nathan Fernandes to Alex Thomson's off-spin as Derbyshire fought back.

Ryan Higgins is well set on 40 and has been joined at the crease by Jack Davies.

  10. Postpublished at 16:19 23 June

    Notts 226-7 v Somerset

Craig Overton's fifth ball is full and driven through the off side by Olly Stone for four.

Stone moves on to 16. This is his 50th first class match, by the way.

Jack Leach is bowling from the other end and restricts Calvin Harrison to a couple of runs, pushed safely into the leg side off a thick inside edge.

    Steady start from Notts.

  11. Tea at Sophia Gardenspublished at 16:17 23 June

    Glamorgan v Northants 204-7

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan’s seamers enjoyed a productive afternoon session in Cardiff as the visitors lost five wickets under cloudy skies.

The green areas down the middle of the wicket provided fertile conditions for the home attack with four slip catches so far as the ball has moved around.

Only Emilio Gay (65) and Luke Procter (48) have got going after Procter’s decision to bat first.

James Harris has three wickets, while Andy Gorvin and Timm van der Gugten have also consistently threatened and Harry Podmore has his first senior wicket of the season.

  12. Play resumes at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:15 23 June

    Notts 220-7 v Somerset

Acting captain Craig Overton will be pleased with the middle session of play and will try to wrap up the innings, bowling to Olly Stone.

Stone and Calvin Harrison have put on a precious 30 runs together since the wicket of Lyndon James.

  13. Tea at Hovepublished at 16:13 23 June

    Sussex 277-6 v Leicestershire

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A terrific session for Sussex, who added 194 runs in 35 overs with John Simpson and Oli Carter leading the charge with a fourth-wicket stand of 156.

Carter fell just four short of a century, but Simpson was in imperious form with shots all around the wicket, reaching his third 100 of the season, and adding to the 205 not out he scored in the reverse fixture in April.

The Leicestershire bowling has been inconsistent and punished accordingly, but the three wickets they have taken in the session have kept them in the game at tea

  14. Tea at Canterburypublished at 16:13 23 June

    Kent 210-6 v Lancashire

Lancashire appeared to have assumed control at Canterbury with three fairly quick post-lunch wickets to leave Kent in a hole at 124-5.

But Tawanda Muyeye and debutant Charlie Stobo dug in with a superb 82 stand for the sixth wicket to revive Kent's hopes of bonus batting points.

However, Stobo fell just before tea to damage those aspirations.

  15. 'Surrey are building a base'published at 16:10 23 June

    Worcs v Surrey 217-4 - tea

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Surrey are building a base here to get something in excess of 400 you would have thought. It looks a decent surface.

  16. Final session begins at Scarboroughpublished at 16:09 23 June

    Yorks 226-0 v Gloucs

The teams are back out in the middle at North Marine where, if you remember, Gloucestershire chose to put Yorkshire in after winning the toss.

Ed Middleton bowls the first over after tea and Finlay Bean slashes a full toss through backward point for four.

He is 107 not out, one run more than partner Adam Lyth.

  17. Tea at New Roadpublished at 16:07 23 June

    Worcestershire v Surrey 217-4

Just a single for Ben Foakes from Shoaib Bashir's latest over and that is tea.

The England spinner has acquitted himself well, for figures of 1-60 from 17 overs and Worcestershire will be far happier with the obverall position than they were when Surrey were 178-3.

Dom Sibley (76) and Jamie Smith (86) put on 149 for the third wicket but both missed out on a hundred as they departed within five overs of each other.

Foakes is 16 not out, with Dan Lawrence on 17.

  18. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 16:06 23 June

    Warwks v Hants 238-6

Two to Dawson, slapped behind point and one more turned square on the leg side.

The fourth ball is driven and edged wide of slip for four.

The field comes in for Barker, who plays safely to backward point and that's tea.

Hampshire were wobbling after losing Ben Brown and James Fuller in quick succession but Hampshire still have batting pedigree left with Liam Dawson (40 not out) and Keith Barker, unbeaten on 18.

  19. 'The game has kind of ebbed and flowed'published at 16:06 23 June

    Kent 206-6 v Lancashire

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

It's has been that type of game so far on the opening day, it has kind of ebbed and flowed a little bit.

It has been like that in this second session.

  20. WICKET Stobo b Lyon 36published at 16:04 23 June

    Kent 206-6 Lancashire

Kent will be annoyed by the lengthening of this afternoon session as they lose a wicket right before a delayed tea.

Charlie Stobo is deceived by Nathan Lyon's spin - not the first and certainly not the last in that regard.
