A second career double century for Jake Libby, and the second of this Pears innings to boot.

The stand-in skipper has led by example and brought up his 200 with a leg-side single off Liam Dawson from 399 balls with 16 fours and a six.

He's been at the crease for nine hours and 10 minutes and is closing on his career best of 215 set for the Pears at Sussex in September 2022.

  2. 100 runs

for Harry Finchpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 30 June

    Kent 518-5 v Northants

Liam Guthrie bangs the ball in short, but there's very little pace and Harry Finch has plenty of time to pull it for four and reach his sixth first-class hundred.

It has taken him 128 and that is the 14th boundary of his innings.

The stand with Daniel Bell-Drummond (143*) is now worth 180.

  3. Postpublished at 17.3 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 58-1

Really sharp turn for Jack Leach as the ball comes back between Ben Slater's bat and pads.

It misses the stumps, fortunately for the Notts opener, and keeper James Rew is unable to gather, giving away a bye.

  4. Division Two updatepublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 30 June

Gloucestershire have taken their first wicket in Cardiff with Zain ul-Hassan caught at long leg from a top-edged pull off Ajeet Singh Dale. Glamorgan are 33-1 - just 347 behind.

Middlesex's eighth-wicket partnership is over, with Joe Cracknell caught off Ben Green for 38 at Leicester. Ben Geddes is still there on 106 not out in a score of 468-7.

  5. ESSEX ALL OUTpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 30 June

    Yorks v Essex 368

Ben Coad wraps up the innings by bowling Khaleel Ahmed with the final ball of the over and that leaves Noah Thain unbeaten on exactly 50, having played a key role in ushering his side above 350.

However, Yorkshire will be buoyed by their performance with the ball today, having collected the last seven wickets for 95. Jack White finishes with 3-68, with Coad, George Hill and Dom Bess taking two wickets apiece.

  6. 50 runs

for Noah Thainpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 30 June

    Yorks v Essex 368-9

Noah Thain, EssexImage source, Rex Features

This has been a really spirited knock from Noah Thain and the youngster is rewarded with the third half-century of his first-class career.

Thain gets there from 81 balls, steering a single down to long on from the fourth ball of Ben Coad's over to try and protect last man Khaleel Ahmed.

  7. Postpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire v Worcestershire 592-5

Jake Libby has passed nine hours at the crease.

Whatever you think of the pitch, the Kookaburra ball, the weather conditions, the bowling, this is a Herculean effort in sweltering conditions.

He is 192* and closing in on 400 deliveries faced.

Immense powers of stamina and concentration.

  8. 500 up for Kentpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 30 June

    Kent 500-5 v Northants

Daniel Bell-Drummond pushes Saif Zaib to mid-off, jogs through for one and Kent's total reaches 500 at the Spitfire Ground.

Bell-Drummond is 140 not out, Harry Finch has 88 and they have added 163 for the sixth wicket.

  9. Postpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 658-4 v Durham

Dom Sibley isn't the only man in this game with 200 plus against his name - spare a thought for luckless Durham spinner George Drissell.

Drissell's figures now read 1-202 after his latest over, in which Will Jacks slammed him for six to take Surrey beyond the 650 mark.

This is also now the county's highest total against Durham, passing their 652-9 declared on this ground 30 years ago.

  10. Postpublished at 13.1 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 48-1

He had one over before lunch and now Jack Leach is back. A slip and short leg in place for the left-handed Ben Slater.

The first ball is too wide and cut away for four.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 30 June

    Snater c Hill b Bess 1 (Yorks v Essex 363-9)

A second wicket for Dom Bess as Shane Snater gives him the charge and is caught at long-on by George Hill.

In comes debutant Khaleel Ahmed, with Noah Thain in danger of being stranded on 49 not out.

  12. 50 runs

for Gareth Roderickpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire v Worcestershire 580-5

Just a second half-century of the season for Gareth Roderick, but this will have done him plenty of good.

He's now put on more than 100 with old opening buddy Jake Libby, who has moved onto 190*, and reached his 50 from 114 balls with six fours along the way.

  13. Andersson dropped off Andersonpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 30 June

    Derbyshire 140-5 v Lancashire 367

Frustration for Jimmy Anderson, relief for Martin Andersson.

The all-rounder flashes at one outside off and sends an edge between first and second slip, with the ball coming off the hands of second slip, diving to his left, and racing away to the rope.

Andersson is trying to play positively with Anuj Dal supporting at the other end.

  14. Postpublished at 11. 5 overs

    Somerset 379 v Notts 42-1

Too full by Craig Overton and Ben Slater eases it through the covers for four.

The next ball is much shorter, Slater tries to pull but makes no contact although the Somerset keeper and slips half believe there may have been a glove on that.

    No concerted appeal, though.

  15. 'A crucial breakthrough for Somersetpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset 379 v Notts 38-1

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Radio Somerset

I did say that if Matt Henry was able to take the wicket of Haseeb Hameed then all those runs that he was leaking would probably be something that Somerset could live with because Hameed is the big scalp.

He has been outstanding for Notts who have plenty more batting to come. Still a crucial breakthrough for Somerset.

  16. 50 runs

for Daniel Hughespublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 30 June

    Sussex 104-1 v Warwickshire 415

Daniel Hughes might not get his 10,000 steps in today at this rate.

he brings up his half-century from 67 balls with a nice punch through the covers to the short boundary off Oli Hannon-Dalby.

His 11th four. He's barely left his crease.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 30 June

    Harmer c Lyth b Bess 10 (Yorks v Essex 357-8)

Dom Bess takes his revenge for that six by Simon Harmer.

The spinner finds the edge of Harmer's bat and Adam Lyth snaps up the slip catch to leave Essex eight down.

Shane Snater is next in for the visitors.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 30 June

    Madsen lbw b Balderson 70 (Derbyshire 134-5 v Lancashire 367)

The Derbyshire skipper is undone by George Balderson, who now has 3-32 from 10 overs.

The ball nips back at the right hander and almost cuts him in half as he plays across the line and is thumped on the knee roll infront of middle and off.

Madsen has to go and Lancashire have put themselves in a strong position, chasing their first win, against unbeaten Derbyshire.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11 overs

    Hameed c Rew b Henry 24 (Somerset 379 v Notts 38-1)

    The breakthrough by Somerset.

Matt Henry's final delivery of his sixth overs just offers to leave the bat and that is enough as Haseeb Hameed is given out caught behind.

The Notts skipper, who pushed forward defensively, shakes his head and doesn't seem convinced that he got a touch.

  20. 100 runs

for Ben Geddespublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 30 June

    Leics v Middx 455-6

Ben Geddes, MiddlesexImage source, Getty Images

A landmark for Ben Geddes as he brings up his first century in Middlesex colours, from 167 balls.

Geddes has passed 50 five times since he crossed the Thames last winter, but this is the first of those he's converted into a ton.

He and Joe Cracknell have added 86 so far for the seventh wicket.
