Well, that all happened a bit quicker than we thought.

Munsey, McMullen and co decided for fireworks instead of a long, nervy push and we thank them for it.

Time for an early night? I doubt those Scotland players will be turning in.

We'll be back for Scotland's final game against Australia on Sunday 15 June (01:30 BST). Yep, you read that right. We'll get the coffees in.

    See you all then!

I'm super proud of what the team have done from the start of this tournament, all the way through, and they look like they're getting better.

They have got a clear plan of how they want to play and go about things.

Brandon McMullen played a few seasons for Stirling County Cricket Club, he's now at Royal High Corstorphine. They'll all be extremely proud of watching him on the big stage and he played a beautiful innings there.

  5. McMullen receives high praise from Berringtonpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 9 June

And here's a little more Richie Berrington for you fans out there:

[On Mark Watt dead ball] "He's had that problem a few times. It has got him a few wickets so we don't want him to stop doing it. It's just one of these things.

"Although we're happy with what we're chasing, it was really important to get a good start. If you lose a few early wickets it can be a different chase.

"That partnership between George [Munsey] and Brandon [McMullen] got us in a strong position. We know what a classy player Brandon McMullen is, so really pleased for him to get a score today.

"First thought was get in a position to win the game first. Because we were in such a strong position, guys could target that short side. At the moment, [net run rate] might come into play but we can only control what we can. We'll enjoy this moment but we know there's another big game to come."

Scotland captain Richie Berrington was a happy man, although it's hard to tell with him. Here's what he had to say after the game:

"Really pleased with that performance today. It was important to get a win in what we knew would be a tough game. We've put ourselves in a really good position.

"It's the first game on this wicket and we had to work it out quickly. We brought it back really well especially towards the back end. The spinners did a great job in the middle.

"We didn't have a score in mind. It was more about trying to work out the right lengths to bowl and what was going to be effective.

"It was hard to defend the short side with the breeze but we did that well for most of the innings. We were really happy with the score that we had to chase down."

  8. A word from the man of the moment...published at 20:54 British Summer Time 9 June

It's no surprise that Brandon McMullen is named player of the match. Here's his post-game thoughts: "I was very chuffed out there, good to get the win for the team. It was awesome.

"It was a short boundary with the breeze. As a group, we decided using the breeze to our advantage would be key. It paid off today.

"The main priority was to win the game and get the two points but at that drinks break we decided to have a good crack at the net run rate.

"We're very confident. We've got good confidence going into that game against Australia. We've done well so far but we have to keep level headed, keep raising that bar."

Who would you rather be - England or Scotland? I'd rather be Scotland. The points are on the board, the net run rate looks reasonably healthy.

Why fear the last game against Australia? The way Scotland played against England, they've only got more confident in the next two games against Namibia and Oman.

They should believe they can go out and play the game of their lives against Australia. There's no reason why they can't go through top of the group.

  10. Scotland win by seven wicketspublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 9 June

It's Brandon McMullen to face - and perhaps that's fitting. He'll face Bilal Khan.

It's a bouncer and McMullen slashes at it, dismissing it all the way past square leg and to the boundary rope.

Scotland win in 13.1 overs. That is outrageous.

Curse of the commentator. Dot ball.

    Whoops.

  12. 6 runs

    Postpublished at 12.5 overs

Behave yourself, Brandon! He gets down on one knee and sweeps it high over the rope. Scotland are on the verge of victory.

Matthew Cross faces the fourth delivery of the over... and it's a carbon copy of McMullen's six!

And then he does it again the next ball! They could do it this over!

  13. Sco 129-3 (target 151)published at 11.5 overs

McMullen is dropped again! He had to reach at that delivery which was wider than expected.

"Inevitable" says Simon Mann. That was much harder, in fairness. It's gone for four as well, just for good measure.

    A 27-ball half-century for McMullen. Goodness me.

  14. Sco 125-3 (target 151)published at 11.4 overs

Brandon McMullen sees one shot stopped on the long-on boundary, but his next runs all the way to the rope.

It's not been a one-man effort by any means, but this man can play.

  15. More of this, please?published at 20:36 British Summer Time 9 June

Michael Jones might be out, but he set the tone with these two sixes...

  16. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 10.2 overs

Play resumes after the drinks break and an Omani misfield results in another four for Brandon McMullen. He makes it look so easy.

Scotland's number three then goes for another big shot, but it's been put down! Rafiullah drops it. A really poor error.

Simon Mann gets stuck into Oman's fielding on comms. Eight dropped catches in this tournament already.

  17. Sco 110-3 (target 151)published at 10 overs

Oli Hairs runs out some drinks at the 10-over mark.

It'll be Andrew Petrie to see you through the rest of this chase.

Batters coming in are playing for their team, they're not playing for personal milestones.

Matthew Cross plays spin pretty well so the sensible option is for Cross to get himself in and get McMullen on strike.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.5 overs

    Berrington b Ilyas 13 (Sco 110-3)

That's the curse of the live texter - sorry Richie.

It's a well-bowled googly from Aqib Ilyas that goes between bat and pad and bowls the Scotland captain.

Matthew Cross is in at five.

  20. Sco 110-2 (target 151)published at 9.3 overs

Net run rate could well decide who makes the Super 8s from Group B, and Scotland want to get this done quickly.

Berrington goes inside out over extra cover for four, and then dances down the track to hammer Aqib Ilyas for six more.

The skipper looks in lovely touch.
