No such luck this time for Jones, who sends this one straight up in the air.
Mehran Khan backpedals well to take the catch at mid-on.
Brandon McMullen is in at three.
Fortune favours the brave, and Jones picks up four more with a slice over short third.
A bright start for Scotland.
Six more!
Stand and delivery stuff from Michael Jones, who belts Shakeel Ahmed back over his head.

That's a lovely looking shot.
Michael Jones broke a solar panel on the roof against England in Barbados. This one wasn't as big but it was a lovely strike.
Michael Jones gets off the mark with a gorgeous lofted on-drive that goes all the way for six.
Save 'em.
Partik Athavale top-scored for Oman with 54.
Scotland would love one of their openers to play a similar knock and settle any nerves.

The lack of pace has been effective so far. That last delivery was 68 mph. The others were just above 70mph.
It's not express, which can sometimes be tricky on this surface.
Khan is varying his pace nicely, keeping Michael Jones on his toes.
The Durham opener plays out five consecutive dots - a watchful start.
Cheers, Andrew.
George Munsey gets off the mark from Bilal Khan's first delivery, guiding it behind point for a single.
Here come Scotland - 151 is the target and Michael Jones and George Munsey will play a key role in getting it.
Scotland chased 157 in 18.3 overs in the last game. Same again then, lads?
For the time being, I'll hand you back to the very capable hands of George O'Neill.

It was messy, that peformance. Scotland were not at their best.
Brad Wheal bowled fantastically well, had a great spell, and the spinners did well too. Sharif was on the expensive side.
Forget net run rate, let's just get 150 runs.
Scotland spinner Mark Watt has been giving his thoughts at the halfway point.
"We were happy with 150 on that wicket. It's a good pitch and there's a strong breeze to the short boundary."
On his non-wicket, where Khalid Kail pulled out at the point of delivery, Watt added: "He's looking up and is ready to play the ball, so I bowl it. I told the umpire I was going to do it.
"It's frustrating because I thought it was a legal delivery. It's just one of those things.
"We'll look to target the powerplay - the new ball came off the bat nicely, and take the game deep."

I think Oman will be the happier of the two teams, but I still think Scotland will back themselves to chase this.
It's a real pressure chase, and pressure does funny things.
Oman make the 150 mark with the final ball and a very quick bit of running between Shakeel Ahmad and Ayaan Khan.
We didn't think Oman would get there at times but they've picked their overs and punished Safyaan Sharif.
They will go in happy. Scotland are under pressure now.

This is a great last over for Oman.
If they get over 150 here, it's game on.
This time Ayaan does connect, he swipes at it and catches it. Slapping it back through midwicket for four.
That's Ayaan gone over his 100 strike rate, too. He's picked up the pace towards the end of this innings
Safyaan Sharif is on for the last over. Ayaan Khan is back on strike and he takes two from the first ball after an overthrow.
The second goes for four as Khan edges behind. That is so lucky.
Oman would like a couple more from this over. 150 is a lot harder to get than 135, obviously.

This has been a great spell from Brad Wheal, bowling a beautiful line and length, and Oman are struggling to get him away.
Opener Pratik Athavale was the pick of the Oman batters, but he fell for 54.
Rafiullah c Sharif b Wheal 0 (Oman 133-7)
The new batter was really struggling against the consistency of Wheal and when he did try and tee off, he could only pick out Sharif on the boundary.
A first wicket for Wheal and well deserved.
