Keacy Carty looks to be in a hurry now.

He pulls Sam Curran away for four before crunching a drive through the covers for four more.

The over ends with two dot balls and Curran flings the ball back, hitting the stumps, to end the over. Brandon King was comfortably back.

England need something very special if they are to deny West Indies from here.

After reaching his fifty, Carty is showing us some moves. A classic inside-out lofted drive over extra cover, and a lovely deft paddle to fine leg. This has been an exercise in perfect tempo batting from this pair.

Brandon King's single brings up the 100 partnership for the second wicket before Keacy Carty hits back-to-back boundaries.

The first is a sumptuous inside-out lofted drive that bobbles into the boundary cushion before he goes across his stumps and flicks the next one away fine.

    West Indies are cruising.

  4. WI 141-1published at 26 overs

    Target 264

A moment of light relief for England - in fact, everyone at the Kensington Oval - as Brandon King aims an almighty swing towards the leg side and completely loses control of his bat.

It goes flying behind him, not unlike Ben Stokes in Pakistan recently, and Phil Salt jumps to avoid it.

That's the highlight of a Sam Curran over that costs just four singles.

It’s so easy, West Indies are doing this at a canter right now. Halfway through the overs and over halfway to the target. England will need to get funky.

50 for Keacy Cartypublished at 25.2 overs

    WI 138-1

West Indies continue on their merry way and Keacy Carty brings up his fifth ODI half-century from 61 balls.

It's been a calm, controlled innings from the West Indies number three so far.

    Thanks, Matt.

Not that I can take any credit for it but England did make quite the recovery after I took over in the first innings...

They need something like that and more if they're going to turn this match around from here.

  8. WI 137-1published at 25 overs

Need 127 runs to win from 25 overs

The only thing I can offer you England fans is that it is time for me to move aside.

Sam Drury will take this one to the finish. Can he bring a flurry of wickets?

  9. WI 134-1published at 24 overs

    Thrashed!

Brandon King isn't too worried about Sam Curran. He skips down to the left-armer and slashes the ball for four.

  10. WI 125-1published at 23 overs

Need 139 runs from 162 balls

Jofra Archer's second over of this spell comes and goes without a wicket.

Liam Livingstone's next decision is to turn to Sam Curran.

Now would be a good time for him to Make Something Happen.

Adil Rashid has only once gone wicketless at the Kensington Oval in 12 white-ball matches prior to today (0-26 off 2 during the no result vs Scotland, 2024 T20 World Cup).

England's problems deepen further as Keacy Carty follows a streaky four with a perfectly-timed slog sweep for six.

West Indies are doing this with ease.

  13. WI 111-1published at 21 overs

    King 51, Carty 32

Archer wasn't near his best at the start of the innings but this is a better comeback over. One delivery skips on to beat the outside edge before a disguised slower ball to end the over.

    Still no wicket, however.

Top knock from King. He started brightly with two boundaries off Archer in the first over, and has looked largely untroubled throughout.

Jofra Archer is indeed coming back now.

England really need a wicket here.

That dropped catch hasn't dampened Phil Salt's keenness to chirp. He's putting a word or two into the ear of the West Indies batters - all friendly as far as I can tell.

Brandon King rocks onto the back foot to hit Rashid for four and reach his fifty. He's clearly not distracted by Salt's antics.

Liam Livingstone throws his hands in the air.

Was that a chance? His reaction suggests so. Brandon King was just trying to work the ball off the back foot but wicketkeeper Phil Salt could not take the edge.

It’s all a little too easy for West Indies at the moment. If he doesn’t get a breakthrough soon, expect Livingstone to ring the changes. He has nine bowling options, don’t forget.

More gasps and groans from Phil Salt as Keacy Carty goes back to Adil Rashid but West Indies number three gets his down on this googly.

Where is a wicket coming from? Is it time for another burst from Jofra?

  20. 6 runs

    WI 98-1published at 17.2 overs

Smashed down the ground by Brandon King.

That's a great shot. When Adil Rashid is getting hit around you know England are in trouble.
