Much as I hate to report it, you can just about pick up the sound of distant rumbling on the effects mic here.

Just the one run from the over and Adam Lyth will continue at the other end.

  5. Final session begins at Headingleypublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 362-6 - lead by 64

If Yorkshire can prise out the zen-like concentration of Sam Northeast, this could be a very tense session of play.

The Glamorgan captain is back in the middle on 136 not out and he'll face Dom Bess.

The new batter is James Harris after Tom Bevan was out LBW to the last ball before the break.

  6. 'A very interesting final session in prospect'published at 15:55 British Summer Time 6 May

    Tea: Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 362-6 - lead by 64

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Adam Lyth with his medium-pace off-spin has done the golden arm act again.

Yorkshire are keeping themselves in this with just a little bit of a sniff.

Don't go away, we have got a very interesting final session of this match in prospect and maybe, just maybe Sam Northeast and a bit of assistance from one or two of his lower order team mates standing between Yorkshire and a win.

  7. 'A thoroughly deserved victory for Kent'published at 15:51 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancashire (3 pts) 92 & 332 lost to Kent (20 pts) 261 & 162-3 by 7 wkts

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

Lancashire will take a little comfort from the way they fought back in the match but this is Kent's victory because this has been a difficult place for anybody.

Nobody won a County Championship match here last season - every game was drawn. Lancashire haven't lost a County Championship match here for two years and to come and bowl Lancashire out twice and take 20 wickets is a fine effort.

The fact it's so rarely done in the last few seasons shows just how well Kent have performed across the four days.

A thoroughly deserved victory for Kent.

  8. Day four recappublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 6 May

With rain ruining the final day at Lord's, Yorkshire need to force a Glamorgan collapse if we are to get a grandstand finish to round five.

Just one Division One game made it to day four, and that was wrapped up before lunch as Kent eased to a first win of the season at Old Trafford.

A brilliant skipper's knock of 79 not out from Daniel Bell-Drummond sent them back to the south east in celebratory mood.

A few threatening skies in the vicinity of Leeds but so far the weather has smiled on Yorkshire.

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 362-6 - lead by 64

Adam Lyth will bowl the last over before the break.

Tom Bevan is back and across, working the second ball to leg for one.

Sam Northeast pushes a flighted ball into the off side.

The Glamorgan captain gets one to extra cover.

Bevan again is back and across, not quick nicking to leg slip.

Gone this time and Yorkshire go into tea with a spring in their collective step!

Tom Bevan is lbw to Adam Lyth for 12 off the last ball before tea. Misread the length, going back and trapped in front of middle.

The lead is only 64 and the door is ajar, weather permitting.

  12. Postpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 360-5 - lead by 62

Sam Northeast is well forward to Dom Bess to smother the spin.

  13. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 358-5 - lead by 60

Tom Bevan continues to look a little jittery at the crease as he defends while squared up against Dom Bess on the back foot.

Single to Sam Northeast glanced square on the front foot at the other end.

Close! Tom Bevan misses a defensive prod as he's again squared up on the back foot. Too leg side and a tad high.

Bevan leaves outside off to end the over.

  14. 'Yorkshire will fancy their chances if they get Northeast'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 357-5 - lead by 59

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Still a way to go for Yorkshire but if they get one before tea then they'll have a little bit of impetus going into the break.

Dom Bess will try and provide it and if they get Sam Northeast then they will really fancy their chances.

  15. Glamorgan pass 350 at Headingley with a slender leadpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 6 May

  16. Postpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 349-5 - lead by 51

Close call for LBW against Tom Bevan, playing back and squared up to Dom Bess but it's a bit high and Bevan gets the benefit of the doubt.

Just the one run from an eventful over.

  17. MIDDLESEX DRAW WITH LEICESTERSHIREpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 6 May
    Breaking

    Middx 407-8 v Leics 306 - lead by 101

Sadly, the weather has not improved at Lord's and this game ends in the long anticipated draw.

Middlesex had the better of the only two innings afforded to a rain-affected game and both teams will remain in the top half of the Division Two table going into the next round.

Middlesex take 11 points and Leicestershire collect 10.

  18. Glamorgan 50 ahead but five down at Leedspublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 348-5 - lead by 50

This has been an epic innings from Sam Northeast, lasting more or less the equivalent of a whole day's play.

He gets a single off the second ball of the Moriarty over.

    That's a lead of 50.

Tom Bevan defends from the crease, where he has a slip, leg slip and forward short leg for company.

  19. Postpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 347-5 - lead by 49

Tom Bevan is stretching forward to defend against Dom Bess.

A shorter, quicker fifth ball spins sharply as Bevan is across and misses trying to help it around the corner.

    Maiden over.

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 347-5 - lead by 49

Sam Northeast is forward to Dan Moriarty, pushing the ball through the leg side for one.

The second ball is leg side and goes for a leg bye as Tom Bevan moves back and across.

20 minutes till tea and the Tykes need another wicket to keep the pressure on.
