    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 309-4 - lead by 11

Another good over from Joe Root, who gets turn and bounce to get the ball ballooning off the front pad of Chris Cooke as the Glamorgan number six is forward to block.

    No bat involved though.

    Maiden over.

  2. Postpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 6 May

Hmm. No short leg in for Dan Moriarty now.

Chris Cooke leaves the left arm spinner outside off.

He'll get one off the fifth ball, sliced through point off the back foot.

Just the one run from the over.

  3. 'A calm effort from Northeast'published at 14:15 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 308-4

A calm effort by Sam Northeast.

He has struck 12 boundaries in the process.

  4. Postpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 6 May

The door is ever so slightly ajar for Yorkshire here if they can get on a roll from this point.

Sam Northeast is forward to Joe Root, defending to Finlay Bean at forward short leg.

Sharp turn for Root as the ball whips round the front pad of the Glamorgan captain. Maiden over.

  5. Postpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 308-4 - lead by 10

Dan Moriarty is just back of a length but Chris Cooke can't quite get the ball away with a cut shot.

A wafted play and a miss ends the over.

Not a great shot, searching for the ball while anchored to the crease.

  6. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 307-4

Sam Northeast tries to work Joe Root past short leg for a single but there's no run.

He'll get a single off the third ball though, driving back and across through cover.

Chris Cooke is forward to block out the over.

  7. 'There'll be a lot of relief among Yorkshire'published at 14:07 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 304-4

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

There'll be a lot of relief among Yorkshire supporters and those out there on the field that they've finally been given an opportunity and finally taken it.

It wasn't an easy catch by Shan Masood, it looked like it might disappear over his head at one point.

He had the arms outstretched but he watched it well and, most importantly of all from his team's point of view, he clung on.

A tremendous knock by Colin Ingram in the context of the game.

He just had little bits of luck on the way but not loads of that and certainly wouldn't want to take anything away from what he's achieved so far for his team.

He's just edged them closer to safety but they're not safe yet.

  8. 100 for Sam Northeastpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 304-4

A gentle introduction to the crease for Chris Cooke, who ducks under a surprisingly brisk Joe Root bouncer.

One run and a wicket from the over.

Sam Northeast turns Dan Moriarty to leg for one and that's his century in 226 deliveries with 12 fours.

That's his second three-figure score of the season. The first one of course was his triple century against Middlesex at Lord's in the first round.

It's just the 31st ton of his red-ball career.

WICKET Ingram c Masood b J Root 113published at 14:01 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 303-4

Joe Root is back on, replacing Adam Lyth at the other end.

    Colin Ingram leaves outside off.

But now he's out! Ingram loft-drives Joe Root to Shan Masood back-pedalling at long off who takes the catch above his head

Time for Chris Cooke to have a bat. The lead is a slender five.

  10. Postpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 302-3

Yorkshire, remember, are a seam bowler down in the absence of Matt Fisher, hence a spin-dominated attack here now.

Just the one run off the latest Dan Moriarty over, flicked to leg by Sam Northeast for one.

A bit of cloud cover here but the weather has been far more kind in the north than the south today.

  11. Glamorgan move into the leadpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 301-3

Sam Northeast and Colin IngramImage source, Rex Features

Joe Root is out of the attack and slow left-armer Dan Moriarty is on.

His fourth ball is driven through cover for four runs and that takes Glamorgan to parity.

A single to wide mid off by Sam Northeast via the off spin of Lyth at the other end and now Glamorgan are in front.

The draw is nearly beyond doubt. There would have to be a collapse of seismic proportions to avoid it now.

The 300 is up via a front foot glance to square leg.

  12. Postpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 293-3

Not a great over from Adam Lyth, who is twice dispatched through wide mid on by Sam Northeast, moving on to the front foot.

His fifth ball is short and driven through cover off the back foot for one - and that takes the fourth wicket partnership to 200 in 387 balls.

  13. Still raining at Lord'spublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 6 May

    Middx 407-8 v Leics 306 - lead by 101

Sigh. The weather is simply not co-operating with the planned pitch inspection.

    As you were.

  14. Postpublished at 13:45 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 284-3

A bit of turn and bounce for Joe Root's off spin but the line and length isn't really testing Sam Northeast or Colin Ingram.

The fourth ball is a very surprising bouncer that clears the keeper and yields a bye.

Four runs to Ingram with a flashing drive through cover.

Adam Lyth will bowl the next over.

  15. Afternoon session begins at Headingleypublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorks 519-7 dec v Glam 221 & 277-3

The White Rose would've had high hopes after their declaration.

But bowling Glamorgan out a second time has not been at all easy and with innings parity in sight, a draw is by far the most likely result.

Colin Ingram resumes on 103 not out with his batting partner and captain Sam Northeast on 84.

Northeast will face Joe Root to start the session of play from the Kirkstall Lane End.

  16. Pitch inspection at Lord'spublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 6 May

    Middx 407-8 v Leics 306 - lead by 101

It's taking place now - in theory.

Better weather is expected in north London by mid-afternoon but that won't allow enough time for anything other than a draw, surely.

  17. 'A job well done for the visitors'published at 13:08 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancashire (3 pts) 92 & 332 lost to Kent (20 pts) 261 & 162-3 by 7 wkts

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

Kent win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1997 and Kent win for the first time in the County Championship this season.

They've got the job done having bowled out Lancashire on day two for 92 and that set up the game for them.

They enforced the follow on, but had to be patient for their wickets second time around as the youthful Lancashire middle order fought back against them.

But Daniel Bell-Drummond with a skipper's knock of 79 not out to see his team home for the win.

A job well done for the visitors.

  19. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 277-3 - trail by 21

A superb morning for Glamorgan and a frustrating one for the hosts as the visitors ease through the session unscathed.

Colin Ingram (103) gave up a few chances as he closed in on his second ton of the season, but there have been few big alarms for both him and Sam Northeast (84).

They have added 106 runs this morning and taken their partnership to 184. Match-saving stuff you'd suggest.

Glamorgan trail by just 21 runs now and the pitch has looked as flat as you could wish for as a batter.

    Colin IngramImage source, Rex Features

Despite those two recent near-misses, Colin Ingram has played very well, sensibly when required and aggressive when able.

He sweeps Dom Bess and calls for a single which is never there. Sam Northeast turns him down flat.

Being on 99 can do strange things to the mind.

Two overs later Bess lets out successive appeals to further unsettle Ingram.

But that's it! He drives into the offside through the covers and takes a two to bring up thre figures off 202 balls.

It's his 20th red-ball century and a second of the season from six innings, and comes in 202 minutes.

    Glamorgan trail by just 24.
