  1. KENT BEAT LANCASHIRE BY SEVEN WICKETSpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 6 May
    Breaking

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 166-3 (target 164)

That's it! Luke Wells drops short with his second ball and Joe Denly pulls the ball away square for four!

Kent win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1997.

Lancashire are beaten at home for the first time in two years.

The win takes Kent off the relegation zone at least for now and puts more pressure on Lancashire and Hampshire in the next Championship round.

Lancashire fought back well with a second innings 332, led by half centuries from youngsters George Bell and Matty Hurst.

But the damage was really done in their first innings when Nathan Gilchrist took 6-24 and routed the Red Rose for 92.

There was turn and bounce for Lancashire spinners Nathan Lyon and Tom Hartley both yesterday and this morning, but the target was just a little too light to sustain pressure on Kent.

Visiting captain Daniel-Bell Drummond continues his excellent form this season with an unbeaten 79.

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 162-3 (target 164)

One more to Denly, flicked just past short leg.

    Can Bell-Drummond finish it off?

Not yet. Defended down the ground. Two to win.

  3. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 161-3 (target 164)

Joe Denly gets the target down to single figures with two runs nudged through third man.

A single taken into the off side.

Bell-Drummond gets one more flicked through mid on and Denly takes Kent to within touching distance with a slog sweep through leg for four.

    Three to win.

  4. Nervous ninetiespublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 265-3 - trail by 33

    Almost the breakthrough for Yorkshire!

Dan Moriarty has a little extra bounce which induces a rare false shot from Colin Ingram. He top edges it and it looks for all money like a catch for Dom Bess.

But it soars over his head to the boundary.

Three balls later, Ingram gets a genuine edge and it flies just past the slips for another four.

Ingram moves to 99 and Moriarty's frustration grows.

  5. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 153-3 (target 164)

Kent pass the 150 mark with a tap to the on side for one off the bat of Bell-Drummond.

Joe Denly is back and across with a single into deep point.

Bell-Drummond is nearly foxed by a Luke Wells googly but the ball drops safely into the on side.

Four singles off the over in all. Kent need 11.

  6. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 149-3 (target 164)

More drama at leg slip as Nathan Lyon gets a ball to loop up off the bat and pad of Joe Denly, just out of reach of the fielder.

Single next ball, pushed into the leg side.

Bell-Drummond works a ball to leg off the back foot for one to advance to 76.

  7. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 147-3 (target 164)

Not long to go now. 19 to win.

Tom Bailey is out of the attack after one over and leg spinner Luke Wells is on.

His second ball is worked away by Bell-Drummond for one.

Joe Denly is back and across, squeezing one more run through point.

17 to win. If Kent get there, as they surely must, they'll be the first away team to win here in two years.

  8. 150 partnershippublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 248-3 - trail by 50

Matthew Revis strays onto the pads of Colin Ingram who flicks it away for four.

He then square cuts the next ball to the rope to bring up the 150 partnership with Sam Northeast off 333 balls.

And it's three successive fours to end an ordinary over as drives squarishly through the onside.

Ingram races to 84 and the deficit is now down to 50.

Daniel-Bell Drummond is down the pitch to Nathan Lyon, punching the ball to mid on for two.

Joe Denly works the next ball behind square leg for one.

Bell-Drummond gets away with a single last ball as it loops into the air over Tom Bruce at leg slip via inside edge and pad.

Another change. Seamer Tom Bailey replaces spinner Tom Hartley at the Brian Statham End.

Joe Denly flicks a single to long leg.

Bailey drops short and Bell-Drummond pulls in front of square for four.

Two more runs pushed into third man and four more pulled to mid wicket.

One more run to third man. 12 runs off the over.

Kent are pressing the accelerator. 22 to win.

  11. 'Leaning calmed things down'published at 12:34 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 130-3 (target 164)

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

That's a bad shot from Jack Leaning. Not a bad shot as in a terrible hack or waft.

Nathan Lyon has looked more threatening when play has gone back to him and he should have got forward to that and was stuck on the crease.

It's just zipped through and he's played it back. He's just poked at it and got the edge to slip.

If he'd really come forward to that and got over the top of the ball then I don't think he gets out to that delivery.

So it's that little bit of hesitation from Jack Leaning who has played well to negotiate 33 balls and just calm things down after the wicket of Ben Compton.

What he has done with Daniel Bell-Drummond at the other end is take the victory off the table for Lancashire.

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 236-3 - trail by 62

Dan Moriarty once again has early use of the new ball - after five overs this time.

He lets out a big appeal with his first ball as Sam Northeast takes a step forward to defend.

It's near to his edge as the ball thuds into the front pad and pops up to the short leg fielder.

Did it get any bat? No says the umpire.

Moriarty then has both hands on hips in full on teapot mode as Northeast then turns his fifth ball through midwicket, a push which races to the boundary.

He moves to 78 and the deficit is 62.

  13. Postpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 130-3 (target 164)

Joe Denly sees out the Nathan Lyon over, initially playing defensively into the on side.

He gets a single off the last ball, coming down the pitch driving just past Daniel Bell-Drummond for one.

A great diving stop from sub fielder George Hill denies Colin Ingram a certain four as he unfurls another cover drive off Ben Coad.

Back-to-back maidens and the deficit remains 66.

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 129-3 (target 164)

Kent need 35 more to win at Old Trafford for the first time in 27 years.

Out! Jack Leaning has edged Nathan Lyon to Luke Wells at slip.

Played back with the bat away from the body, offering a sharp chance at around waist height. A second wicket for Lyon.

Can the Red Rose get on a roll from here?

    Joe Denly is in next.

  16. Postpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 129-2 (target 164)

Single to Jack Leaning off Tom Hartley, pushed to deep cover off the back foot.

Four runs to Daniel Bell-Drummond with a pull to square leg that dissects two fielders out in the deep.

The Kent captain gets one more into the on side.

The runs are starting to flow for Kent now as Leaning taps a quick single to mid on.

  17. Postpublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 122-2 (target 164)

Jack Leaning makes a mess of a back foot drive against Nathan Lyon and the ball is bunted off the top half of the bat.

But it lands safely short of the bowler down the pitch.

Three runs driven through cover off the back foot.

A play and miss by Daniel Bell-Drummond, with a crooked bat jabbed into the ground.

Frustration continues for the host team.

Colin Ingram plays a beautiful drive to Ben Coad, stroking it through the covers for four.

Coad then strays a little on to Ingram's pads and he glances it through midwicket for his second boundary of the over to move into the 70s.

    The partnership climbs to 139.

  19. Postpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 6 May

    Lancs 92 & 332 v Kent 261 & 119-2 (target 164)

Jack Leaning takes the gap down to 50 with a flick to long on off Tom Hartley for one.

Daniel Bell-Drummond is forward to sweep but can't clear forward short leg this time.

He misses again but this time the ball runs away fine. Three wides.

Leaning is back and across, driving the last ball to long on for one.

  20. What's this - a play and miss?published at 12:14 British Summer Time 6 May

    Yorkshire 519-7 dec v Glamorgan 221 & 224-3 - trail by 74

Genuine excitement for the bowler as Matthew Revis prompts a rare play and miss from Sam Northeast.

His fourth ball has a little extra pace and bounce and Northeast goes fishing outside off stump.

Thankfully for the Glamorgan skip it misses his outside edge before he can withdraw his bat.

Northeast then makes amends by forcing the next ball through the covers for his ninth boundary and moves to 74.
