    AUS 23-2

Sole almost lost that in the haar! He's done incredibly well to snaffle that at the second attempt.

He's able to laugh it off as he looks to the crowd, who are off their feet in the stand just yards from him.

  2. wicket

    WICKET Fraser-McGurk c Jones b Currie 16published at 3.1 overs

    AUS 23-2

    Gone this time!

Jake Fraser-McGurk looks to go big down the ground, but doesn't get all of it and launches it miles into the cloudy sky.

Chris Sole settles under it at long-on, and takes it at the second attempt, to the delight of the fans behind him.

  3. AUS 21-1published at 3 overs

Jake Fraser-McGurk skies one - much like he did on Wednesday - but it just evades the backpedalling Chris Sole at midwicket.

    Lucky boy...

  4. AUS 20-1published at 2.4 overs

    Steady, Andrew.

Brandon McMullen beats Josh Inglis' outside edge, and Charlie Tear whips off the bails, but the square-leg umpire is unmoved.

  5. Postpublished at 2.2 overs

    AUS 20-1

    Andrew Petrie
BBC Sport Scotland at The Grange

Australia's Head's gone. That's the crowd up for it now.

Plenty of haze still in the air. But is that the whiff of an upset? Too early to tell.

  6. wicket

WICKET Head b Currie 0published at 1.4 overs

    AUS 11-1

An absolute beauty from Brad Currie removes the destructive Travis Head.

What a moment! It's a good length, it nips back and flicks the top of the bails.

Josh Inglis is in at three.

  7. AUS 10-0published at 1.3 overs

A big swing and a miss from Jake Fraser-McGurk to Currie's first ball, before four through point and a single out to deep midwicket.

It brings Travis Head on strike for the first time today.

  8. Postpublished at 2.1 overs

    AUS 5-0

    Andrew Petrie
BBC Sport Scotland at The Grange

A slightly more subdued Grange crowd so far. The cold must be getting to them.

There's one very enthusiastic Scotland fan, but that's about it.

  9. AUS 5-0published at 1 over

A single off Fraser-McGurk's hip finishes the first over.

It'll be Sussex's Brad Currie from the Inverleith Park end...

  10. AUS 4-0published at 0.5 overs

Swing for Brandon McMullen, who bowls four successive dots to Fraser-McGurk.

  11. Here we go...published at 0.1 overs

    AUS 4-0

Brandon McMullen has the new ball for Scotland - he removed Jake Fraser-McGurk for a duck on Wednesday..

No such luck today, as the Aussie opener carves the first ball of the day for four

Flower of Scotland follows Advance Australia Fair, and we're just about ready to go at the Grange.

There's another healthy crowd here today, which is great to see.

Not sure how accurate the current BBC weather forecast for Stockbridge is...

It's still very grey and very cold in the capital.

George Bailey played for Scotland in domestic 40-over cricket as well as for Grange

While it's rare for the Australian national team to tour Scotland, there have been plenty of Aussies grace the club cricket scene over the years, as listed below:

    George Bailey - Grange

    Adam Gilchrist - Perthshire

    Justin Langer - Perthshire

    Terry Alderman - Watsonian

    Kim Hughes - Watsonian

    Ed Cowan - Uddingston

    Graham Manou - Penicuik

    Bob Massie - Kilmarnock

    Jason Krejza - Greenock

    Mike Hussey - Ferguslie

The greatest Australian cricketer is also linked to these shores.

Don Bradman’s last innings on British soil was a magnificent 123 not out at Aberdeenshire's Mannofield ground in 1948.

  15. Five changes for Scots; Hardie in for Aussiespublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 6 September

Scotland make five changes to their team from Wednesday.

Brad Currie and Michael Jones - who were unavailable for the first game due to County commitments - go straight into the side.

Charlie Tear takes the gloves from Matthew Cross, while Chris Greaves and Chris Sole replace Jack Jarvis and Jasper Davidson in the bowling attack.

For the visitors, Aaron Hardie comes in for Riley Meredith.

  17. Scotland win toss and will bowl firstpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 6 September

Mitch Marsh calls incorrectly and Richie Berrington wants to have a bowl first with these overhead conditions.

We'll have team news for you very shortly.

  18. Postpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 6 September

Mitch Marsh is out in the middle for the toss, so if he was going through a late fitness test, he must have passed it.

  19. Ellis out for seriespublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 6 September

Australia's Nathan Ellis missed the first T20 on Wednesday and we've just heard he's been ruled out for both this series and the upcoming series against England.

A blow for him personally, given the absence of regular quicks Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitch Starc.

  20. Marsh in doubt for game twopublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 6 September

    Andrew Petrie
BBC Sport Scotland at The Grange

Nothing official, but it looks like Mitch Marsh is going through a fitness tent in front of our media tent.

The Australia skipper looks uncomfortable as he tries to sprint and catch the high ball. That would be a blow for the visitors.
