Mark Watt has been chatting to BBC Scotland before today's game, starting with Wednesday's controversial non-wicket.

"The way the game's going at the moment, everything's in the batters' favour, so I'm just trying to do everything I can to put them off.

"Hopefully umpires will start giving it out, because I think it's fair. They are looking at the ball when it leaves my hand. I think it's legit, but if the umpires don't give it, there's no point moaning about it.

"If the pitch isn't offering much, you've got to think outside the box. I don't always know what I'm going to do next, so the batters definitely don't.

"Hopefully the boys can bounce back and do something special today."

  2. 'I wasn't ready' - should this wicket have stood?published at 13:46 British Summer Time 6 September

There was also controversy during Australia's innings when Josh Inglis was bowled by Mark Watt, but said he wasn't ready and the umpires deemed it a no-ball.

Australia cruised to a seven-wicket win on Wednesday, reaching their target of 155 with 62 balls to spare.

Travis Head was the wrecker in chief for the visitors, smashing 80 off just 25 balls.

The Scots will be hoping today's very Scottish conditions will be something of a leveller.

  4. Welcome!published at 13:30 British Summer Time 6 September

A beautiful day for a game of cricket... if you like your outfield to resemble a Robert Louis Stevenson novel.

I suppose we are in Edinburgh, after all. The fog was meant to have burned off by now, but it hasn't and the outfield is pretty damp as a result.

The toss has been delayed until 14:00 due to the conditions, and providing things don't get worse, we'll be starting at 14:30.
