Australia aren't far off the rate they need to be at but they have lost four wickets. They do still have Glenn Maxwell though.

  2. Aus 156-4published at 25 overs

Liam Livingstone gives it a bit of air with his second delivery, but Alex Carey backs himself to clear Jofra Archer at mid-off and pummels the England spinner down the ground for four.

Carey has a bit more confidence after that shot, and a couple of balls later feels sufficiently emboldened to jab a drive into the ground which beats Jos Buttler at extra cover and races away for four.

At the moment, it's all spin from England. It might help Australia to have a left-hander come in - Liam Livingstone might switch to bowling off-breaks to Alex Carey.

The pressure has really built on Australia. They need to score quickly but they can't afford to lose another wicket.

  5. Aus 146-4published at 24 overs

Jos Buttler keeps a few Adil Radhid overs his sleeve and thrusts Joe Root into the action.

He starts with six runs conceded to Josh Inglis and Alex Carey. England will settle for that.

It feels like Australia have been a tad too conservative here on a good pitch with short-ish boundaries.

Livingstone's leg-spin has been so good so far he's even sticking with it to Alex Carey, rather than switching to offies like he usually does against left-handers.

I'm not sure he's bowled a bad ball.

  7. Aus 140-4published at 23 overs

Well, well, well. England's spinners have squeezed the Aussies and now it looks like advantage England again.

England will want to keep the pace off the ball and we could see 25 overs of spin from Rashid, Livingstone and Root.

The game has swung significantly back to England now, thanks to their leg-spin bowlers.

Liam Livingstone strikes, and it's been thoroughly deserved!

The spinner has barely bowled a bad ball, and helped ratchet up the pressure on the Aussie batters, and now he gets his reward.

Matthew Short drives at a full leg-break from Livingstone as he attempts to go inside out but the England man dives to his left to take a smart catch.

Livingstone throws the ball high into the air in celebration.

Rashid is a gem - if you had to pick somebody in this team who you don't want to get injured, it's Rashid. England can't replace him like for like.

  12. Aus 136-3published at 22 overs

The debate on the TV commentary is how long you keep Adil Rashid on. It's a balancing act.

Rashid strikes Matthew Short on the pad after he retreats deep into his crease with the final ball of the over.

However, Jamie Smith heard something and the replays show a healthy chunk of bat on it.

Buttler is going to have to get some overs out of Joe Root or England may lose this.

  14. Aus 135-3published at 21 overs

Another more-than-respectable over from Liam Livingstone.

Josh Inglis attempt to sweep him round the corner, but a diving Adil Rashid at short fine produces a fine stop.

Inglis has come out and looked a million dollars. He looks like he'll play Adil Rashid off the back foot - shorter batters are good at that.

Can England turn the screw and winkle another wicket here?

Yorkshireman Josh Inglis is the new batter for Australia. He starts with a classy drive off Adil Rashid for four.

That was so tempting for Labuschagne and he's just belted this to cover.

Adil Rashid dangles the carrot and Marnus Labuschagne bites!

The England leg-spinner takes pace off the ball and gives it a bit of air following a period of pressure in the field, and Labuschagne's eyes light out.

Labuschagne drives the ball into the hands of Jos Buttler who gobbles it up at cover above his head.

Rashid looks to the heavens and does a double fist pump in celebration.
