I think we need 340+ to win this game, India could easily chase down 300 with the talent they have got. I can see a big innings from Brook here.

Once again Duckett throws away a really good start. He just didn’t quite go through with the shot, and again, England have to regroup.

That's a huge over for India, with Ravindra Jadeja taking the big wicket of Ben Duckett.

Harry Brook is the new man in for England. He's in need of runs.

Ravindra Jadeja makes the breakthrough in his first over.

Ben Duckett tries to take on a slower ball but doesn't get hold of it and can only find Hardik Pandya at long-on.

  6. Eng 100-1published at 15.3 overs

Oof. That was interesting from Ben Duckett. He gets down on one knee for a scoop and misses it. It's close to the stumps but is called a wide.

    Here comes Ravindra Jadeja...

Chakravarthy continues to befuddle England’s batters. They simply haven’t yet found a method against him.

This has been a very tight start from Varun Chakravarthy. He has 1-16 from his opening four overs.

Ben Duckett is playing very nicely. A flick of the wrists and a decent ball from Harshit Rana goes for four.

    Six runs off the over.

Just got out of mass and didn’t know what had happened. Turn on the live text, Salt goes, Root gets reviewed first ball and Duckett almost gets caught. I know what to do, don’t worry.

Does anyone remember the game stick cricket? Where you would smash around the fast bowlers and then lose all your wickets to the spinners. That's how this England line up plays.

That's three overs without a boundary for England.

It'll be interesting to see how they play this situation. Will they embrace the patient approach?

Jonathan France: England cruising - why is Salt playing that shot? Park your ego & play the situation. Already had 6-7 off the over. Utter brainless cricket. We’ve opened the door for India, yet again!

This is the first time Joe Root has faced Varun Chakravarthy in any form of cricket. It will be interesting to see how soon he gets used to his style of bowling.

  17. Eng 86-1published at 11.5 overs

    That's frustrating for India.

It's a fine effort from Shreyas Iyer, diving forward full length in the deep, but he's misjudged his approach and can't take the catch as the ball hits the turf just before his hands get there.

    Lifeline for Ben Duckett.

Since becoming an opener in ODIs, Ben Duckett has scored three fifties and one hundred in just seven innings. He has scored 388 runs at an average of 64.7 while maintaining a strike rate of 112.9. This is his third 50+ score in his last four ODI innings as an opener.

  19. Not out - Eng 81-1published at 11 overs

Joe Root survives the lbw shout. The ball is missing the stumps. Phew. That wouldn't have been ideal, would it?

A mixed over for England, with a half-century for Ben Duckett overshadowed by the wicket of Phil Salt.

Is Joe Root in danger here?

India are very confident he's been pinned on the pads first ball. Root looks pretty calm.
