That's all from us. We'll be back at 10:30 BST on Sunday for day four of the third Test between England and India at Lord's.

In the meantime, make sure you read Ffion Wynne's report from Edgbaston here.

    Goodbye!

  2. 'A bit tight but we got over the line - that's the main thing'published at 22:12 British Summer Time

England stand-in captain Tammy Beaumont: "It's been a difficult series for us but credit to India, they've come over and played some challenging cricket with real power in their batting line-up. At times we haven't had the right answers.

"But really proud of the girls to put on a show tonight. Particularly Em Arlott and Linsey Smith coming back after a tough start to the series. We maybe haven't put in our best performances but really glad we got that win tonight."

On dealing with ebbs and flows of the match: "It's been about trying to stay calm in those moments. Credit to Shafali Verma, that was an outstanding innings. Every time we tried to execute something, she seemed to have an answer to it.

"A lot of good balls went for four as well as the odd bad ball so we just tried to stay calm.

"Charlie Dean was outstanding but our entire bowling attack showed that character and fronted up."

On fielding in the series: "There's a lot been said about our fielding and athleticism but it's not something you can fix overnight. We really are working behind the scenes and it will improve."

On opening stand between Dunkley and Wyatt-Hodge: "We know how dangerous Sophia and Danni can be at the top of the order, they were outstanding. It got a bit tight at the end there but we got over the line and that's the main thing."

On captaining in Nat Sciver-Brunt's absence: "Loved it but Nat can come back and I can sleep a bit better."

  3. 'We will have the same mindset in the ODIs'published at 22:10 British Summer Time

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "It's a great achievement for all of us. I am really happy with the way we played today. It was a very close game. The team put up a great effort in the end. We thought England played really good cricket. But the way we fought back was outstanding.

"Whenever Smriti [Mandhana] and Shafali [Verma] are batting, they dominate the other team. That has been really positive for us. We want both of them to keep doing well for the team.

"It's all about how you train and before coming here, the camps we had gave is the confidence. We have one month of preparations after going back and before the World Cup. We will give our 100% and are looking forward to the main event.

"We always look for six bowling options in the side. We were happy we got that this time. However, whoever got the opportunity, they have done really well. I am really happy how our bowling unit did this series."

On the upcoming ODI series: "ODI is a format we all love. We will go with the same mindset that we have played in the T20 series."

  6. 'I kept things really simple today'published at 22:02 British Summer Time

Player of the match Charlie Dean (England) speaking at the presentation: "We took two early wickets which got us in the game. India batted really well. Shafali [Verma] was creating width and we had to bowl really tight lines. I kept things really simple today which maybe I hadn't done in the past. And I am really happy with that."

On dismissing India captain Harmanpreet Kaur's wicket: "She is a class player. Any time, I can get her out, I am really happy with it.

On whether England can play with three spinners: "We definitely can play together. It depends on the pitches we get really. We showed a lot of character to win the game and I am really proud of that performance."

Danni Wyatt-Hodge was brilliant with the bat in her 300th international game. She has been shy of runs in international cricket though she has been tearing it up in domestic cricket at the Blast.

England have had some decent performances but there have been some mistakes too. But they deserved that win tonight.

  10. Postpublished at 21:48 British Summer Time

Well, that was a dramatic finale at Edgbaston.

Shafali Verma struck 75 (41) and Charlie Dean picked up 3-23 as India posted 167-7 from their 20 overs.

Chasing 168, England were in cruise control thanks to a 101-run opening partnership between Danni Wyatt-Hodge (who was dropped on five) and Sophia Dunkley.

However, helped by an economical four overs from Radha Yadav (1-20), it all came down to the final ball, with Sophie Ecclestone sprinting a single to seal a five-wicket win.

    More reaction to follow.

India have walked the series even though England have won two games.

This game was what I was expecting from this series. Close contests. Good cricket.

England have done themselves justice in this game today. Players have taken responsibility. They have played in more of a way we know they can. This will give them some confidence going into the ODIs.

That is sensational! I'm not sure I have the words.

Radha Yadav comes charging in, dives full-length forward, and takes a brilliant two-handed grab. How did she do that?

England need five runs off three balls. Fingernails are being chewed.
