  1. Eng 17-0published at 2 overs

    Target 168

A productive over from England, taking 12 runs from it, although they are lucky not to be one wicket down.

Can Danni Wyatt-Hodge make India pay for that dropped catch?

It's an awful drop. It's gone straight to short fine but she just lets the ball burst through her hands.

  3. dropped catch

    Wyatt-Hodge dropped on 5published at 1.3 overs

    Target 168

    A lifeline for Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

The ball bursts through the hands of Shree Charani at short fine and away to the rope for four more. It was well struck by Wyatt-Hodge but it was straight at the fielder.

Cricket is all about match-ups these days. It's good that Deepti Sharma is bowling during the powerplay, but I will be bowling a left-arm spinner to Danni Wyatt-Hodge, because she got out to one in the last match.

  5. Eng 9-0published at 1.2 overs

    Target 168

    A first boundary for England.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge, down on one knee, sweeps Deepti Sharma for four.

Kranti Goud has got the ball to go both ways in her first over. I am impressed with her.

  7. Eng 5-0published at 1 over

    Target 168

After a jittery start, Kranti Goud rediscovers her composure.

She bowls four dot balls to Danni Wyatt-Hodge before the England opener finally gets off the mark with a quick single.

Deepti Sharma will bowl the second over of the powerplay.

Kranti Goud will be so, so nervous. She has played ODI cricket before, but she will want to get things right on her T20 debut.

  9. Eng 4-0published at 0.1 overs

    Target 168

A nervy start from Kranti Goud on her T20 debut.

A trio of wides make a helpful dent in England's chase before Sophia Dunkley slaps the first legal delivery of the innings away for a single.

Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt-Hodge are walking out to bat for England.

The hosts are chasing 168 to win the final T20 and ensure they only lose the series 3-2.

Kranti Goud will open the bowling for India.

Here are England’s scores with the bat this series. Can they chase 168? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

    • 113 (chasing 211)
    • 157-7 (chasing 182)
    • 171-9

Charlie Dean was the pick of England's bowlers, collecting 3-23 from her four overs.

Sophie Ecclestone (2-28), Linsey Smith (1-26), and Em Arlott (1-42) were also among the wickets.

But how about this catch from Maia Bouchier to remove Shafali Verma?

    Thanks Adwaidh.

This feels quite nicely poised, doesn't it? England did well to limit the damage when you consider Shafali Verma blasted 75 off 41 balls, but 168 still feels like a challenging target for a team short on confidence.

That's all from me for now.

But my colleague Elizabeth Botcherby will take you through England's chase.

    Over to you, Elizabeth.

India will feel they're about 15 runs short based on how Shafali Verma got started.

But with England not in the best place, they've got enough on the board to cause them trouble if they bowl well.

Charlie Dean for me was the pick of the bowlers. The seamers tried but they're going to have to think about getting the execution right.

India's score could've been a few more, could've been a few less. It's a few above par but not out of reach for an England team with the firepower to chase that down.

  17. Ind 167-7published at 20 overs

So India set a target of 168 for England in the fifth and final T20 in Edgbaston.

The hosts picked up wickets in regular interval but Shafali Verma's 41-ball 75 has given India a fighting total.

  18. Ind 166-7published at 19.5 overs

Em Arlott oversteps and India has a free hit.

But the England bowler recovers well, restricting Arundhati Reddy to a single off the free hit.

That is clever batting, Reddy flipping the ball over her shoulder down to fine leg.
