That over has gone all over Edgbaston.

  3. Ind 67-2published at 7 overs

There is no stopping Shafali Verma!

She hits Issy Wong for two more fours to end a very expensive over.

    4, 1, 1, 6, 4, 4 off that over.

What a shot! Shafali Verma standing and delivering for India.

That is a muscular blow down the ground.

'What a shot!' - Verma smashes Wong straight down the ground for six

After sending Issy Wong's first ball of the over to the boundary, Shafali Verma then goes one better as she finds the first six of India's innings.

She has 35 from 16 balls now!

The powerplay is pretty much honours even.

England the clear favourites after those two early wickets, according to WinViz.

But that could change very quickly if Shafali Verma keeps going...

The key wicket of Mandhana early on was really well thought out from Em Arlott.

India have done a good job of rebuilding.

It's in the balance. I like the way this game is evolving.

  9. Ind 47-2published at 6 overs

Three dot balls from Linsey Smith to end the powerplay.

England have a good start. Now, can they capitalise?

That's frustrating. You can take a player being out of form but you expect England to do the basics well... It's drilled to Sophia Dunkley, you almost expect her to do the old-fashioned long barrier.

  11. Ind 47-2published at 5.3 overs

A first boundary of the innings for India captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

She cuts Linsey Smith to the boundary through point and then she does it again off the following delivery - this time Sophia Dunkley at cover can't stop another four.

The powerplay is in the balance here. If India get through the next six balls and rebuild this partnership, they'll take a run rate of around eight.

If England take another wicket, the game will swing back.

You can see her thinking. Verma is going to keep coming harder and harder so Em Arlott is taking her pace off.

The slower ball's coming in, she's tried the bouncer. But the execution has been fractionally off and Shafali Verma has capitalised.

Verma is not a good footwork player. She's a hand-eye bully.

  14. Ind 39-2published at 5 overs

Three singles in a row to end Em Arlott's over.

One more over of powerplay to go.

It's interesting to see Em Arlott already using her variations in the powerplay.

  16. Ind 37-2published at 4.3 overs

Em Arlott is back into the attack and she tests Shafali Verma with a short ball.

The India batter tries to hook but skews an outside edge and the ball runs away to the boundary very fine.

Things are looking up for England so far in Edgbaston.

See ball, hit ball. Shafali Verma's given herself room. She allowed herself to set that base and then flat bats it.

England will be hoping she runs past one or just miscues.

  19. Ind 31-2published at 4 overs

Though two of her partners are back in the dugout, Shafali Verma is showing no signs of slowing down.

She welcomes new bowler Sophie Ecclestone by sending her over mid-off and then repeats it in the very next ball.

But Ecclestone recovers well and only two more singles come off that rest of the over.

England will want one more here. If you get three wickets in the powerplay, you really improve your chances.
