  3. dropped catch

Livingstone dropped on 7published at 40 balls left

    Phoenix 66-3

    Dropped for six!

Crucial moment, as Livingstone miscues one high into the air and it's sailing towards Leus du Plooy at deep mid-wicket. But the fielder can only palm it over the boundary sponge for six!

Livingstone carves the next ball for four, rubbing salt straight into the wound. Has that error sparked Livingstone into life all of a sudden?

  4. Phoenix 52-3published at 45 balls left

    Target 127

Jacob Bethell has been touted as a future England star for a few years now and what a moment this is for him, a chance to play a crucial knock under pressure.

He gets off the mark with a stunning square drive for four off Chris Jordan.

A crucial, crucial wicket! A huge moment in this game.

A metre either side and that ball is going for six. Moeen Ali has absolutely crunched that but crunched it straight to the fielder.

    Moeen c Evans b Hosein 24 (Phoenix 45-3)

    The pressure tells!

Cracking work from Akeal Hosein, tying the Phoenix batters in knots. Moeen tries to release the shackles with a slog sweep but picks out Laurie Evans on the mid-wicket boundary!

Southern Brave are in control at the halfway mark.

You have got to find a way of turning those good balls into one or two runs when you've got a big run chase...

Moeen Ali has played a lot of cricket and boundaries are hard to come by, as they were in the first innings, so he's just adjusting himself ever so slightly.

  8. Phoenix 41-2published at 55 balls left

    Target 127

Solid start from spinner Akeal Hosein. He gives nothing away and Brave continue to frustrate the batting side here.

Liam Livingstone has three from seven balls.

I think Southern Brave have started so well here. They have brought this back. They have had a low total and I said at the top that they know how good their bowling line-up is and they can defend anything.

Just seeing the win predictor, it's closer than you would think but maybe that's because in this year's competition there have been some low-scoring thrillers. I have no doubt this is going to be another one of those.

  10. Phoenix 35-2published at 60 balls left

    Target 127

Moeen is timing the ball pretty well but only managing to pick out the fielders at the moment.

Chris Jordan's 20 from nine balls at the end of Brave's innings is looking pretty significant right now...

  11. Phoenix 32-2published at 65 balls left

    Target 127

    Well, that's a response.

Moeen Ali launches Chris Jordan's first ball down the ground for an authoritative four. The boundaries aren't coming frequently enough for Phoenix, though - they need to get a move on.

  12. Phoenix 26-2published at 70 balls left

    Target 127

My word, the ball is moving all over the place. It's beating the bat regularly like the opening morning of a Test match.

Liam Livingstone joins his captain Moeen Ali in the middle.

I got a little bit nervous there when I saw the catch go up! Between Kieron Pollard and Craig Overton, they weren't quite sure who was going to go for that catch. It almost went directly in-between them at the long on and mid-wicket boundary, but in the end Overton called it with his safe hands.

    Well bowled by Tymal Mills!

  14. How's stat?!published at 19:52 British Summer Time 17 August

That is Tymal Mills' 38th career wicket in The Hundred.

In the history of the men's competition, Mills is now the joint-leading wicket-taker alongside Adil Rashid.

Another! Jamie Smith tried to kick things on, but he falls for 10.

He skies one high to Craig Overton at long-off, who takes a simple catch, as Tymal Mills' slower ball does the job.

Six and out for Ben Duckett, a rare failure for him in this tournament.

  17. Phoenix 25-1published at 75 balls left

    Target 127

Honours even at the end of the powerplay.

Brave will be delighted with the huge wicket of Ben Duckett, but Phoenix have just started to accelerate slightly through Moeen and Jamie Smith.

That is a classy shot - but with a lot of brute force as well! He did a little skip down the wicket to get closer to the ball. So classy and elegant.

Jamie Smith is actually really tall, isn't he? He's one of those people that you don't think is that tall but, when you stand next to him, he is well over six foot. He is normally so good on the back foot.

  19. Phoenix 24-1published at 78 balls left

Jamie Smith isn't going to hang around.

He slams the first ball from Craig Overton down the ground for four, and clubs the next over mid-wicket.

  20. Phoenix 16-1published at 80 balls left

    Target 127

Slashed just over point for a couple!

Moeen Ali is riding his luck here.
