Scrappy stuff but five off the over – three leg byes and a two – and 25 needed now.

    Kent 393 & 87-4 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

Josh Shaw in again and Zak Cralwey clips him away for two to mid-wicket. The next one is defended by the England opener, who dead bats and then has to hurriedly prevent it from rolling back into his stumps.

    Middx 470-9d & 18-1 (target 59) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

Leus du Plooy is not wasting time here charging at Asitha Fernando and trying to target the short boundary.

Just three singles to start with but Stephen Eskinazi has walloped a poor ball from Fernando off his legs straight to the rope.

    Just 34 needed now.

  6. Lancashire draw with Leicestershirepublished at 17:31 British Summer Time
    Breaking

    Lancs 263 & 90-3 v Leics 491-8d

And that Josh Bohannon six is the last ball of the match as the two sides shake hands with eight overs remaining - the match is called as a draw.

It's been an underwhelming final day's play after a superb day three from the visitors had put them in charge of this one and seven wickets away from victory.

After a final day dominated by rain, we finally got some action today at 4:30pm but, in the last hour, Marcus Harris and Josh Bohannon have remained untroubled and leave 34 and 45 not out respectively.

Leicestershire leave Manchester with 15 points while Lancashire take 11.

  7. 6 runs

Postpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time

    Lancs 263 & 90-3 v Leics 491-8d

Louie Kimber tosses one up and Josh Bohannon slog sweeps him for six over long-on.

The umpires are getting together here and we might be coming off again.

    Middx 470-9d & 16-1 (target 59) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

The weather has refused to come to the rescue of Glamorgan with play back under way in St John's Wood.

Middlesex batters Stephen Eskinazi and Leus du Plooy stride out to the middle with 43 more runs needed.

Ned Leonard has the ball in hand and will complete his second over.

  9. Postpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time

    Lancs 263 & 74-3 v Leics 491-8d

With more bad light returning to Old Trafford, Louis Kimber is on for some spin.

In his first over, he produces a couple of good ones that produce turn and almost catch out Josh Bohannon.

The second of which, beats Bohannon all ends up but misses the wicket and Ben Cox behind the stumps too and goes for four byes.

I'm afraid to add, we are also due another shower in south Manchester soon as the floodlights come back on.

It's been a frustrating day all round for Leicestershire.

  10. Postpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 79-4 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

Ollie Price to bowl and Zak Crawley almost chops his opening delivery into his stumps. Precious little footwork there by the England opener.

He pushes the next one for a single and is 38 not out.

  11. Play to resume at 5.25pm at Lord'spublished at 17:21 British Summer Time

    Middx 470-9d & 16-1 (target 59) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

It doesn't look any brighter than it was when they first came off or, for that matter, when the umpires came back out after the early tea but.... the announcement has been made that play is set to resume in around five minutes time.

Good news for Middlesex who will want this finished in T10 style now.

  12. Postpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 77-4 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

Zak Crawley square cuts Ben Charlesworth for four and there is a boundary for Joey Evison off Josh Shaw, glided down to fine leg.

Has the pressure eased with Tom Price out of the attack?

  13. 'For Notts not to win is going to be very galling'published at 17:18 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 176-6 v Notts 367 - rain stops play

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

It looks like it might be a heavy shower coming in, and that in a way is going to be rough justice on Nottinghamshire because although we knew that there was going to be a lot of time erased probably today, they made the running from the very first over of this match.

From the moment that they won the toss they've been in charge so to not win, it if that's how it turns out, is going to be very galling.

However they will at the very least taken a good draw away to extend what has been a strong start to the season and a lot of good individual performances.

  14. Postpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time

    Lancs 263 & 69-3 v Leics 491-8d

Marcus Harris has just whipped a short ball for four runs meaning he has now gone to 12,000 first-class runs in his career.

A superb personal achievement by the Australian left-hander.

  15. Hampshire draw with Somerset - RESULTpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time
    Breaking

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 163-2

Probably unsurprisingly, this one has been confirmed as a draw.

We have been off for the past hour for bad light and at 17:00 BST, both sides decided to shake hands.

Somerset's Sean Dickson ended 77 not out and formed a 56-run partnership which had wiped out Hampshire’s lead and taken Somerset away from any danger of losing.

Hampshire pick up 13 points while Somerset take 11.

  16. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Edgbastonpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 181-6 v Notts 367

It is drizzling with rain once more, and the umpires have also got the light meter out, suggesting we may have seen the last ball of this match already.

Rough justice on Nottinghamshire in truth, who were always up against it to try and force a result with so many overs lost before eventually we did get going at 3:45pm.

It isn't official yet, but with black clouds over hanging I'm not sure we will see any more action today.

  17. 50 up for Lancashirepublished at 17:04 British Summer Time

    Lancs 263 & 50-3 v Leics 491-8

Josh Bohannon turns away a loose ball from Logan van Beek off his pads for four down to deep backward square-leg and, therefore, the 50 is up for Lancashire.

They still trail Leicestershire by 178 runs with 16 overs and seven second-innings wickets remaining.

  18. 'I wonder if they let Tongue take the second new ball?'published at 17:03 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 176-6 v Notts 367

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Josh Tongue is looking in decent rhythm here and I wonder if they let him take the second new ball rather than go straight to Brett Hutton and Fergus O'Neill. Give him one or two maybe just for the extra hardness.

  19. Postpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 56-4 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

Tom Price's inspired spell is at an end.

What can Josh Shaw produce for Gloucestershire in this situation?

His first delivery is a rank loosener down the leg-side but he then forces Zak Crawly to play defensively on the back foot with a rising delivery.

  20. 'Our patience has been rewarded with some cricket'published at 16:59 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 176-6 v Notts 367

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

We always cry out for cricket on the Bank Holidays because very often we don't get them.

Wet weather up and down the country today, however our patience has been rewarded with some cricket here even though at the moment it's a little attritional, we know that there's plenty to play for both sides.
