  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time

    Bell-Drummond lbw T Price 2 (Kent 293 & 4-2 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec)

    Well, well, well....

DBD is fractionally late on one from Tom Price which ducks back in from outside off stump and he is gone.

Are we in for some final session excitement after all?

  2. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 4-1 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

Zak Crawley is solidly behind the final ball of Matt Taylor's latest over.

The England opener has one not out from 12 balls faced, a scoring rate more reminiscent of former Kent batsman Chris Tavare than his friends in the England/Bazball team.

  3. Tea at Lord'spublished at 15:32 British Summer Time

    Middx 470-9d & 16-1 (target 59) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

The hover cover is sparking up, the players are going off and bad light has forced an early tea, 10 minutes before schedule.

There is better light coming according to the forecasts and you would hope that dark clouds and rain stay away to give Middlesex the chance to finish this game or (for reasons of complete impartiality) Glamorgan the chance to take nine wickets for fewer than 43 runs.

  4. Bad light stops play at Hovepublished at 15:30 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 &132-0 v Surrey 490

Dominic Sibley is the next part-timer to go into the attack with a bit of leg spin for the visitors.

It's a very unusual first over to say the least, with rather audible laughter from some of his teammates on the pitch.

With Surrey wanting to get their seam attack back on to break up the 132-run opening wicket partnership, the umpires call the players off for bad light and I would bet that will be the last action of this match.

A shame at least for Sussex opener Daniel Hughes, who remains 49 not out.

  5. 'It's been a while since Sibley's had a bowl'published at 15:29 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 & 132-0 v Surrey 490

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

I made a prediction early in Dom Sibley's career that he might take 100 take first-class wickets with his leg spin.

He owes me 97 so if he could pick up another 10 here quickly that would move him nearer to that 100 but it's been a while since Sibley's had a bowl in the Championship.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time

    Compton c Bracey b T Price 1 (Kent 393 & 2-1 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec)

Great delivery leaves Ben Compton off the pitch and he edges through to the keeper - 178 in the first innings, just a single in this one.

Daniel Bell-Drummond comes out to the middle.

  7. Postpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time

    Middlesex 470-9d & 13-1 (target 59) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

Around 15 minutes to tea which, at a run a ball, would see them get this chase down to around 20 needed at the end of this session.

  8. Play set to start at Edgbastonpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 163-6 v Notts 367

The weather is also clearing up in Birmingham and we are now expected to start at Edgbaston at 3:45, with 36 overs to bowl.

Warwickshire trail Nottinghamshire by 111 runs with Notts seeking a final four wickets to claim victory.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time

    Holden c Northeast b Leonard 7 (Middx 470-9d & 9-1 v Glamorgan 199 & 329)

Max Holden hit a big six but paid for a second attempt with his wicket.

Middlesex are clearly looking to finish this before tea if they can with ominous dark clouds circling Lord's.

The opener had hoiked a big six over the short boundary off Ned Leonard but in going for another he has got a leading edge and sent it up in the air to mid off where Sam Northeast takes the catch.

The floodlights are on at Lord's which, ironically, increases the chance of going off for bad light (artificial light overtaking natural light etc.).

  10. Update from Old Traffordpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time

    Lancs 263 & 16-3 v Leics 491-8d

Some good news to tell you about from Old Trafford.

The drizzle has finally stopped and the ground staff are currently mopping up and removing the covers.

We will let you know if and when we get underway in south Manchester with Leicestershire seeking seven wickets to win this one.

  11. Back out at Lord'spublished at 15:13 British Summer Time

    Middx 470-9d & 1-0 (target 59 runs) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

Asitha Fernando has the ball in hand and Stephen Eskinazi takes strike with 59 needed for a Middlesex win.

Make that 58 as he steers a single from the second delivery.

Tea is 25 minutes away Can Middlesex get this done before the end of the session?

  12. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 & 114-0 v Surrey 490

A couple of short deliveries from Rory Burns are both crunched by Tom Haines towards the legside boundary.

Haines, with those consecutive fours, moves on to 61.

  13. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 0-0 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

So, the chance for a bit of batting practice for Kent.

Zak Crawley only made one in the first innings so he'll be looking for a few runs here.

We should have 41 overs left in the match - don't expect Kent to chase a target of 413 in that time.

Tidy maiden from Matt Taylor to Crawley first up.

  14. 100 runs

100 up for Sussexpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 & 100-0 v Surrey 490

Daniel Hughes prods one into the off side to get off strike and that brings the 100 up for the hosts.

This one it's safe to say is drifting towards a draw.

41 overs still remaining at Hove.

  15. GLAMORGAN 329 ALL OUTpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time

    Bashir c Roland-Jones b Brookes 1 (Middx 470-9d v Glamorgan 199 & 329)

    Henry BrookesImage source, Rex Features

That wraps up the Glamorgan innings as Shoaib Bashir skies one to the safe hands of the Middlesex captain, Toby Roland-Jones taking a comfortable catch after running round from mid on.

Plenty of overs left in the day and now a chase of 59 runs for the win which, assuming rain does not arrive, will be a doddle.

  16. Gloucestershire declarepublished at 15:04 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 v Glos 472 & 333-5 dec

The declaration is made at Canterbury and Kent will face a theoretical target of 413 to win.

Graeme van Buuren is 56 not out and James Bracey remains unbeaten on 30, the pair adding 95 for Gloucestershire's sixth wicket.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Tom Hainespublished at 15:03 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 & 98-0 v Surrey 490

A loose one down the leg side from Rory Burns to complete his first over is easily flicked off his hip by Tom Haines for four and takes him to 50.

Haines' fantastic form this summer so far continues - he got 174 in the first-innings.

  18. Postpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 & 91-0 v Surrey 490

Change of bowling for Surrey and we're going to see a bit of medium pace from Rory Burns.

  19. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time

    Durham 427 v Yorkshire 307 & 277-6 (lead by 157 runs)

The covers are coming on and the players are coming off. And Yorkshire will be confident that they have done enough to secure the draw.

  20. Postpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 v Glos 472 & 324-5

A good delivery by Jack Leaning beats everything - batsman, wicketkeeper - and rolls away for four byes, taking Gloucestershire's lead past 400.
