    Warwicks 93 & 165-6 V Notts 367

Farhan Ahmed's second over is another maiden.

Josh Tongue is ready and will replace Fergus O'Neill from the Birmingham End.

  2. Postpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 165-6 v Notts 367

Ed Barnard strikes off the back foot and takes his first single of the day.

One would think it won't be long until Nottinghamshire turn to Josh Tongue for a spell here.

  3. Postpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 164-6 v Notts 367

Farhan Ahmed's first over is another maiden.

Seven overs have been played this afternoon at the expense of just one run for Warwickshire.

They continue to trail Nottinghamshire by 110 runs.

  4. DURHAM DRAW WITH YORKSHIREpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time

    Durham 427 v Yorks 307 & 277-6

The rain and the bad light has finished this match with Durham and Yorkshire sharing the spoils.

The hosts shade the points taking 15 to Yorkshire's 13 and that is probably deserved on account of the fact they forced the pace throughout days three and four.

Jonny Bairstow's defiant and unbeaten 86 and his 96 run partnership with Matt Revis for the sixth wicket withstood everything Durham could throw at him before the light worsened.

Despite bossing much of this game and having Warwickshire seemingly on the ropes at nine down in round two, Durham remain without a win this season so far.

  5. Postpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 164-6 v Notts 367

Following the conclusion of Fergus O'Neill's maiden over, Farhan Ahmed comes in for our first bit of spin today at Edgbaston.

A leg slip, first slip, a silly mid-off and a silly mid-on surround Oliver Hannon-Dalby.

  6. Postpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 164-6 v Notts 367

Fergus O'Neill continues to run in and bowl seam up with four slips to his aid.

In his fourth ball of his 17th over of the innings, he manages to beat Ed Barnard but the ball misses the bat as well.

Frustrating for the all-rounder. Another maiden over.

  7. Postpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 164-6 v Notts 367

Night watchman Oliver Hannon-Dalby gets Warwickshire's first run of the day, driving down the ground without properly timing it.

Notts still have 31 overs to get these elusive final four wickets at a now sun-kissed Edgbaston this evening.

  8. Bad light stops playpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time

    Durham 427 v Yorks 307 & 277-6 (lead by 157 runs)

Just a reminder that they are still off at Chester-le-Street where the covers are on and the floodlights have been switched off.

The official line is that an early tea has been taken but there is no sign of movement from ground staff and play is not going to resume any time soon.

  9. 'Prospect of Hampshire win becoming remote'published at 15:59 British Summer Time

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 163-2 - bad light stops play

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

We now lose more overs so the prospect of Hampshire forcing a win are becoming ever more remote.

  10. Postpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 8-2 v Glos 492 & 333-5 dec

A coast to the draw or an excruciating final session examination of collective Kent nerves ahead?

The teams return to the middle with just the final sesson to go.

Zak Crawley is one not out and Tawanda Muyeye has four.

  11. Bad light stops play at Hampshirepublished at 15:58 British Summer Time

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 163-2

Three and a half overs after returning to the field, we are back off for bad light in Southampton.

The chance of a result is looking increasingly unlikely here.

  12. Postpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 163-6 v Notts 367

Third over the day and we've yet to see a run yet at Edgbaston.

Ed Barnard and night watchman Oliver Hannon-Dalby have so far resolutely dealt with everything that has come their way with Warwickshire still trailing by 111 runs.

The pair look to have set up camp and I doubt there will be a lot of running between the wicket from this partnership.

  13. 'It's hard to believe it's the same day'published at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 163-6 v Notts 367

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

We're going to have some cricket which is very good news if you are a Nottinghamshire supporter but maybe slightly less good news if you're a Warwickshire supporter although you'd want to see a fight to a draw.

It's hard to believe it's the same day as the one we woke up to in Birmingham this morning when it was grey and drizzly. Now the sun is out.

  14. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 161-2

    Chance for Hampshire goes down.

Good delivery from Brad Wheal catches the edge of Tom Abell, who looks to drive, and flies to Tom Prest at first slip but he puts it down when he probably ought to have grabbed it.

  15. Postpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Middx 470-9d & 16-1 (target 59) v Glamorgan 199 & 329

Covers were over the whole square and bowlers' run up areas but the shower seems to have passed over and they are being rolled up by the Lord's ground staff which is a positive sign.

The dark clouds overhead do not seem to be shifting though and if light was an issue 10 minutes before lunch it is unlikely to have improved much since.

  16. Brookes 'within his rights' to query catch - Porterpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time

Essex are the only winners so far today, beating Worcestershire by 28 runs in what proved to be an exciting finish because of a remarkable 88 by Ethan Brookes.

He was the last wicket to fall, caught and bowled by Jamie Porter, who took six in the innings and had no complaints about Brookes querying the catch.

"He was within his rights to question the wicket, but I was 100 per cent certain I’d taken it. I’ve never claimed a catch that wasn’t clean in my career," said Porter.

"I’m only looking for one thing this season and that’s to win the Championship. That is literally all I care about. When you’ve won it a couple of times before you know what that feeling is like and nothing beats it. I just want to do it again."

  17. sun

We're under way at Edgbastonpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 163-6 v Notts 367

The sun is out at Edgbaston and we are finally ready for the first delivery of the day, which will be bowled by Nottinghamshire's Fergus O'Neill to Ed Barnard.

  18. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:41 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 & 8-2 v Glos 492 & 333-5 dec

Edge - but wide of the slips and Tawanda Muyeye is off the mark with a streaky boundary.

Having delayed their declaration until the lead was 412, Gloucestershire have given themselves a glimmer of a chance of victory with those two early Kent wickets.

Tom Price has 2-5 from three overs. Zak Crawley is still there for the home side with a single to his name.

  19. Play resumes at Southamptonpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 158-2

Over an hour after we expected to resume at The Utilita Bowl, play finally does start again between Hampshire and Somerset after an early tea was taken.

40 overs remain to be bowled and Brad Wheal is preparing to bowl the first ball since we broke for an early lunch.

Bad weather in the area remains so it will be interesting to see if we get through all of the overs allotted with Somerset leading by six runs.

  20. Play set to start at Old Traffordpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time

    Lancs 263 & 16-3 v Leics 491-8d

Play is finally expected to start today at Old Trafford at 4:30pm with Leicestershire being given a minimum of 24 overs to find seven Lancashire wickets, provided there is no further rain in south Manchester.
