Hardik Pandya is just showing why he wanted the strike and why he was turning down the singles.

When he hits a shot it stays hit.

Hardik Pandya gets stuck into Kyle Jamieson, hitting him for four, four and then six, taking 15 off the penultimate over.

Hardik has been trying to change his bat for ages. It’s clearly the problem.

The sub fielder will probably get on between overs here.

  4. Ind 229-7published at 48 overs

This impressive effort in the field has drained the momentum from India's innings, and Hardik Pandya is so keen to keep the strike that he sends Mohammed Shami back after they lap each other off the third delivery.

Hardik does nick the strike off the last, clubbing Henry towards mid-wicket and trotting down to the other end.

I think that catch is game changing to be honest.

That is not being taken by many around the world.

That changes the last few overs.

  6. Ind 225-7published at 47 overs

Kyle Jamieson is back for the first time in ages, mixing his pace up and down to frustrate Hardik and Shami.

A leading edge off Shami just eludes Will Young at cover as he runs backwards, a rare blip in the fielding but not much of one.

By the way, I'm quite glad Matt Henry didn't commentate on Matt Henry - there could have been consequences for the space-time continuum like with Marty McFly having to avoid Marty McFly in Back To The Future part II.

New Zealand have taken some glorious catches and that is right up there.

    Kane Williamson, brilliant catch.

He flung himself like a bearded torpedo to his left.

    New Zealand strike again.

    Another incredible catch!

Ravindra Jadeja flays a short one backwards of point, but Kane Williamson flings himself at it and takes an incredible catch with his left.

This side are just so, so good in the field - catches win matches.

  10. Ind 222-6published at 45.2 overs

Hardik Pandya is trying to get on withg it, and he slaps a short one from Matt Henry back past the bowler to the long off boundary.

Eight from the over as O'Rourke keeps it tight, but now we are denied a moment of history as Matt Henry returns to the attack - but 'our' Matt Henry won't be commentating on it for TMS, as his five over stint has come to an end.

    Denied!

  12. Ind 215-6published at 44.3 overs

Will O'Rourke drops short and Hardik Pandya rolls the wrists and hooks him to long leg for a much-needed four.

Is that the signal for India to cut loose?

There was evidence there that Pandya was not going to take any risks against Santner.

  14. Ind 208-6published at 44 overs

Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya are looking twitchy as Mitchell Santner gives them nothing to climb into, they manage to nurdle six and the skipper ends his spell of 10 overs with 1-41.

Another thing I've been impressed by watching New Zealand is the amount of action their spinners are getting on the ball.

  16. Ind 202-6published at 43 overs

The impressive Will O'Rourke sends down another parsimonious over, going for just three.

India might be doing well to get 250 here.

The over rate is sensational. I've not seen a rate like this all tournament.

    New Zealand are everyone's friend.

They just know what they're doing, no faffing or debating. They just get on with it.

  18. Ind 199-6published at 42 overs

Mitchell Santner keeps it tight, conceding just three singles from the over.

The New Zealand skipper has a few options for the remaining eight overs, including Matt Henry and I really hope he comes on as in the TMS box at the moment, and on air, is 'our' Matt Henry, BBC Sport journalist.

    Confused? You will be...

    Ind 196-6published at 41 overs

Michael Bracewell replaces Will O'Rourke, but the off spinner's first ball is a horrible drag down that Ravindra Jadeja pummels to the mid-wicket boundary sponge.

Hardik Pandya gets back on strike, then he plonks his foot down the track and lifts the ball high over the leg-side boundary for six, his first.

    Well bowled by Santner.

India are in a spot of bother here.

The New Zealand captain has had an expensive over or two but it's really nicely bowled there.
