That's almost exactly what I was saying a moment ago. India have kept things tight.

When spinners come on and get in this stodgy pitch and you've not got a good start to go off.

New Zealand are in a spot of bother.

Yes, hitting high up on middle and Mitchell trudges off, having known his fate before the confirmation.

    Tom Latham joins Kane Williamson.

It just looks very straight. He's taken his gloves off and he's shaping towards the boundary.

Mitchell has taken his helmet off. I don't think this is a man who thinks this may be overturned.

It looks very straight as they pore over the evidence - Daryl Mitchell has his helmet and gloves off but there's a delay...

This looked straight to me. Rather half-heartedly they review but it looked good to me.

Thanks Tom, for a 'dead rubber' this is boiling up nicely, isn't it?

Ravindra Jadeja is absolutely hareing through his overs, and while Kane Williamson is trying a few delaying tactics to try to throw him off his stride, that last over only took two and a half minutes.

The dot balls are rising and so is the required rate for New Zealand.

It's been slow going. A Sunday afternoon snooze for the last hour or so.

But I'm sure it just means the finale is going to be mega exciting. Join Tim Oscroft for the run-in..

I just fear New Zealand are batting themselves into a bit of a hole here.

Neither side has been able to score fluently throughout the day, so the 158 left will be some ask.

  13. NZ 93-2published at 24.1 overs

Rohit wrote off his sunglasses making that athletic stop an over or so ago by the way. Torched.

A replacement pair has been called for. But I think it's dark now.

  14. NZ 92-2published at 24 overs

That's missed everything! A quicker, flatter ball from Kuldeep clips the pad slightly and squeaks away for a single.

  15. NZ 87-2published at 23.3 overs

More good fielding in the covers saves another run, that was captain Rohit that time.

It's amazing what bowlers can do. We've had a good over rate today. The game's gone along well.

  17. NZ 87-2published at 23 overs

The run rate required is above six now for New Zealand. Slow going out there.

Brilliant bit of fielding by Kuldeep Yadav. Maybe the best bit of fielding we've seen from India today.

  19. NZ 87-2published at 22.1 overs

Ravindra Jadeja is the new bowler for India, so Axar Patel won't do his full 10 in one go. The first ball of Jadeja's spell is cut away for two which was nearly four.

Kuldeep is fine when he's landing but his left foot goes out when he's setting himself.
