  1. NZ 85-2published at 22 overs

It looks very difficult to bat at the moment, no easy runs to be had anywhere. There's just two off the over.

  2. NZ 84-2published at 21.3 overs

I think Kuldeep has got a warning for running into the danger area of the wicket there. Interesting.

  3. NZ 83-2published at 21 overs

That sleeping fan was also wearing a big coat, with the hood up. It can't be that cold can it?

Axar Patel bowls another very tight over, Kane Williamson plonking the final ball of it into the sky but safe for two runs.

India need a wicket, they need to break this partnership.

A man in the crowd is sleeping and he needs a wicket to bring him some entertainment.

  5. NZ 80-2published at 20 overs

Not many runs to be had still. New Zealand need 170 to win from 180 balls...

New Zealand are back ahead on WinViz.

We haven't had many close games in this tournament so far - are we about to get one?

The crowd gasped because they thought Varun had an opportunity at square-leg.

Glenn Phillips is catching that for sure.

  8. NZ 79-2published at 19.3 overs

Kuldeep strays straight, Kane Williamson swats him through the leg side for four - but that was nearly out! Flat-batted and close to the flying fielder at square leg.

    Excellent running by this pair.

Under a run a ball required still with eight wickets in hand, that's why you'd imagine New Zealand are still favourites.

They'd enjoy giving India their first defeat in this tournament and taking away some of that confidence.

  10. NZ 73-2published at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

A bowling change sees Kuldeep Yadav coming into the attack.

That run rate is just creeping up. New Zealand need to just not allow that to get up to seven or eight an over too early.

Things are quite difficult against these Indian spinners and that's why they've brought in an extra spinner.

India have been monitoring this pitch for days.

  12. NZ 73-2published at 19 overs

Axar Patel is in his seventh over and may bowl all the way through, but that's much needed for New Zealand as Daryl Mitchell works a ball off leg stump for a very fine four.

  13. NZ 67-2published at 18 overs

Really sharp running from Kane Williamson who knows that every single counts in this tough patch. He's a man in his element.

Williamson keeps finding the fielder but he's hitting the ball with purpose. He's not prodding or probing.

  15. NZ 66-2published at 17.2 overs

Kane Williamson calls for a quick single and he has to be quick too, a direct hit splatters the stumps but he's home.

There's something about Mitchell over the last few years, he's one of New Zealand's safe hands in the middle order.

Another chance to remind everybody of his class.

New Zealand are trying to take a bit of pressure out of this game. Take your time, get to know the surface and then accelerate.

  18. NZ 64-2published at 17 overs

Disciplined is the word for this bowling from India. Nothing short or wide or loose, every ball hitting the stumps pretty much.

New Zealand have scored eight runs off the past five overs - but there we go! Finally a bad ball and Kane Williamson rocks back and cuts beautifully for four.

A big release. Seven from the over.

  19. NZ 57-2published at 16 overs

Classic. Daryl Mitchell has had one dot too many, charging down the pitch and slicing a pretty ugly shot away to safety. That could have gone anywhere!

India are building some pressure. There's been 61 dot balls already and only 93 balls bowled.
