  2. WI 115-1published at 20.1 overs

Oh my word - what was Keacy Carty thinking? He dashes for a single that wasn't on, turns back, and would have been well out of his ground if Jacob Bethell's throw had been on target.

He hit the ground with a mighty thump during his dive and the physio has come out to have a look at his left arm.

It’s a solid start from the West Indies, but you sense they need to go up a few gears still to set England a decent target. Wickets in hand is helpful, but they need to get upwards of 320 to really test this England side.

The fielder running round can't stop the ball and Keacy Carty brings up his half-century with a four.

He was dropped by Ben Duckett on one and he's making England pay.

I agree, Peter. Not only to see how England respond but also because West Indies were the first team I saw live, so I have a big soft spot for them.

    Here comes Adil Rashid.

Sorry, but I'd like to see the Windies put up a decent total today.

The last time England dropped three catches within the first 20 overs of an ODI game was against Australia at Lord's in 2024. You would have to go back to 2015 to find the previous such instance, which was against Pakistan in Dubai. England won both those matches.

I think Brook is trying a bit too hard. Overthinking and making up fields, needs to watch a few hours of the best ODI captain England have ever had, in Mr E Morgan. Unflappable.

It's much better from Jacob Bethell. He's got his line better, even though the one for the dropped catch wasn't that good.

  14. WI 94-1published at 17 overs

Brandon King and Keacy Carty have put on 88 off 91 balls for West Indies' second wicket.

Matthew Potts has changed ends and will bowl the next over.

That's an absolute sitter. Saqib Mahmood will be disappointed with this one. It's an easy catch.

Butter fingers. Brandon King flicks the ball straight to Saqib Mahmood but he can only parry the ball away from himself.

This partnership has survived three dropped catches now.

What can Jacob Bethell do with his second over?

West Indies will be happy with the situation they're in right now. They lost an early wicket and these two are in good touch.

Brandon King has been timing the ball well today.

  19. WI 87-1published at 16 overs

A slightly nervy moment for Brandon King as his pull shot ends up a little aerial. However, it drops short of Will Jacks in the deep.

Saqib Mahmood has probably been England's best bowler so far, getting some good movement, but King and Carty still manage to run a few singles to keep the scoreboard ticking.
