To call it a chance is possibly a little harsh.
Another catch goes down off Brydon Carse's bowling and this time it's Brandon King who is reprieved.
It's a touch harsh on Ben Duckett, who was leaping as high as he can at second slip, but the ball goes through his fingertips and races away to the boundary for four.

First, he has Keacy Carty dropped by Ben Duckett at second slip. Then, he finishes the over with a yorker to Brandon King and the ball whistles past his off-stump. That was very close.

He nicks it and Ben Duckett, diving to his right at second slip, gets one big hand to the ball but puts it down.
This battle between Brandon King and Saqib Mahmood is getting quite exciting.
He cover drives the penultimate delivery of the over serenely for four. He dances down to the next ball but Mahmood gets it to move and it goes through to the keeper.

Mahmood's consistency of line is a hallmark of his bowling – he has bowled 85% of his deliveries either in the channel or on the stumps line in the first Powerplay, that is the most for an English bowler in home ODIs since the start of 2020.
An unorthodox piece of fielding on the rope from Will Jacks saves a run.
He slides, gathers, slides some more, digs his knee in, and somehow avoids touching the rope, ending up curled up on his side. He's certainly keeping busy in the field early on.
