Fifty for Sherfane Rutherfordpublished at 39.4 overs

    WI 234-3

Brings up the fifty with a six!

Rutherford moves to 48 with an untidy top edge for four through the cordon.

Two balls later he makes room and lifts Livingstone through the covers for six, bringing up his half-century from 35 balls.

Rutherford unleashes again, driving Curran's fourth ball powerfully through the covers and over the boundary ropes.

His fifth boundary, it moves him to 43 from 31.

The only other time England have used nine bowlers in an ODI? It was the 1987 World Cup, and a 108-run win over Sri Lanka.

    The bowlers? Here we go...

De Freitas, Small, Pringle, Emburey, Hemmings, Gooch, Athey, Broad (C, not S), and Lamb.

Only keeper Paul Downton and captain Mike Gatting didn't turn their arms over.

  4. WI 215-3published at 38 overs

    Lovely drive!

Hope moves onto 90, cutting loose on Mousley's attempt at a yorker and sending the ball through the covers for four.

Sam Curran came on sixth change today - he's never been introduced into the attack later in any professional match, domestic or internationally.

Curran continues and Hope pushes him off the back foot into the off side, bringing up the fifty partnership in short order.

By the way, in case you're wondering, Jordan Cox and keeper Phil Salt are the only two England players not to have bowled today.

You have to question the balance of this team. Does Livingstone really need nine bowling options when Adil Rashid is carded to come in at eight? Surely they could have found a space for an extra batter?

  8. Not outpublished at 36 overs

    WI 200-3

    Nothing there.

Rutherford took a rather wild flail at a ball heading down the leg side, but replays show he got nothing on it.

It means it's a wide, which rather rubs salt into the wound.

Two balls still left in the over then, and Rutherford absolutely smears the second of those through the covers for a flat aerial four, bringing up the West Indian double hundred.

Then presumably reaches for another ladle of salt...

  9. Umpire reviewpublished at 35.5 overs

And now a ninth bowler, with Dan Mousley coming onto bowl.

He thinks he has Rutherford caught behind too - nothing from umpire Rod Tucker, but England are going to take a look.

We wondered where Curran was, and lo he comes on, gets some encouraging reverse swing and gives Livingstone a much needed 8th bowling option!

  11. WI 192-3published at 35 overs

Livingstone continues to rotate his bowlers, with all-rounder Sam Curran coming into the attack for the first time today - I imagine rather later than he expected.

Hope pushes him into the off side to move into the eighties.

The West Indies charge is on...

  13. WI 188-3published at 34 overs

Turner goes short again with his final delivery and Shai Hope crashes a pull shot along the ground for four through mid-wicket.

14 from the over and the West Indies are moving into a very handy position in this match.

    There goes Rutherford again!

John Turner returns in place of Archer and tries to go with the same short-ball plan used by his fellow seamer.

His first ball is a leg side wide and his second legitimate delivery drifts down as well, with Rutherford happily hooking over the fine-leg boundary for six.

This will be a big test for Turner. Hope is well set. Rutherford looking to go on the charge.

And where does Saqib feature in Livingstone’s plans? He has six overs left up his sleeve but it’s hard to see when he gets deployed.

  16. WI 174-3published at 33 overs

No more boundaries from Livingstone's fifth over, with the West Indies batters turning him round for three further singles.

  17. 6 runs

    WI 171-3published at 32.1 overs

    Pow!

There's a sign of that form, as Rutherford lifts the returning Livingstone's first delivery high over square leg for six.

  18. WI 165-3published at 32 overs

A quieter Archer over, three singles from it.

By the way, Sherfane Rutherford comes into this match in fine form - he wasn't required to bat on Thursday, but prior to that he'd scored 74*, 80 and 50* in three ODIs away in Sri Lanka, the last of which was last Saturday.

  19. WI 162-3published at 31 overs

Sherfane Rutherford wastes no time in getting stuck into England's bowlers, lofting the penultimate ball of the over over mid-off for four.

    Nicely timed.
