  1. 'Lammonby's parents are here'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey v Somerset 196-2

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Tom Lammonby's parents are here to watch him so let's hope he gets the single he needs for what I think has been the most fluent century that I've seen him score.

  2. 'I would blame the striker for that'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey v Somerset 196-2

    Roland Butcher
Former Middlesex and England batter on BBC Radio London

No blame can be attached to Renshaw there because I don't think there was a single there.

The fielder mis-fielded the ball, it didn't go too far away from him, it was struck firmly.

I would blame the striker for that.

  3. wicket

WICKET Renshaw run out (Clark) 87published at 14:43 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey v Somerset 196-2

    Would you believe it?

Tom Lammonby, on 99, pushes Jamie Overton towards mid-on and sets off.

Jordan Clark is the fielder, who doesn't take the ball cleanly, but sees Matt Renshaw heading towards the non-striker's end and throws the stumps down with a terrific throw.

Renshaw was not quite on his toes, while Lammonby was waiting to raise his bat.

It ends a fine stand of 178.

  4. Postpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 12 April

    Essex 191-3 v Kent

George Garrett short and too straight to Dean Elgar who pivots to pull for four and is now up to 90.

At the other end, Matt Critchley again making things difficult for his fellow legger Matt Parkinson as he swings him down the ground for six then four in the same over.

  5. 150 runs

150 up for Nottspublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 12 April

    Notts 155-2 v Worcs

Ben Slater pulls a back-of-a-length ball up and way back over square leg for six to raise 150 for Notts.

Slater onto 68 and Joe Clarke with him on 58 with Notts in a great spot.

  6. Yorkshire dominating after lunchpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 12 April

    Division Two latest

Yorkshire pair Jonny Tattersall and Shan Masood have added 82 runs in less than an hour of the afternoon session at Gloucestershire.

The visitors are now 172-5, with Masood on 79 and keeper Tatersall just reaching his fifty in rapid time.

Derbyshire continue to chip away at Glamorgan - Alex Thomson has just dismissed opener Zain Ul Hassan to leave them 113-3.

Leicestershire are in a decent position on 161-4 against Sussex, while Luke Procter has joined his batting partner Emilio Gay in passing fifty to take Northants to 130-1 against Middlesex.

  7. Centuries in fashion at Edgbastonpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 12 April

    Warwickshire 228-0 v Durham

We are not quite halfway through April and we have had five tons already in B5 this season.

Kashif Ali hit two last week for Worcestershire, along with one for Jake Libby in the second innings.

Now, Rob Yates and Alex Davies have done it today.

And remarkably, four of the batters have reached their 100s with a six - Alex Davies is the odd man out!

  8. 100 runs

100 for Rob Yatespublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 12 April

    Warwickshire 224-0 v Durham

Rob Yates follows Alex Davies into the scorebook with a century.

He clubs a short one from Callum Parkinson to mid-wicket for four to move to 96.

And he only needs one more ball to reach his ton as he smashes it straight for six!

  9. Postpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hampshire 124-3 v Lancashire

That's one way to tackle the leg trap!

Successive reverse sweeps from Tom Prest bring him eight runs off Nathan Lyon with two fours.

That is the beauty of having such a world-class bowler in Test cricket playing in our domestic cricket.

It ups the standard for everyone.

  10. 'It's very pleasant here at Chelmsford'published at 14:28 British Summer Time 12 April

    Essex 169-3 v Kent

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

Still a breeze going across the ground but its very pleasant in the sunshine here at Chelmsford.

Not very often we've been able to say that in the past few weeks Matt!

  11. 200 runs

200 partnershippublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 12 April

    Warwickshire 200-0 v Durham

We are not even halfway through day one, but Warwickshire's openers have raced to their 200-run partnership.

A glorious drive from Rob Yates gets him another four from an overpitched Ben Raine ball.

And he carves the next ball for three more to clock up the 200.

It has taken only 37.5 overs.

Last year, (in Division Two), Durham were the kings of scoring quickly. Here they are getting a taste of their own medicine.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Cox lbw b Garrett 67published at 14:20 British Summer Time 12 April

    Essex 169-3 v Kent

    Much-needed breakthrough for Kent.

Jordan Cox is late coming forward and is beaten on the inside edge by George Garrett to be stone dead lbw.

No century for Cox against his old side but a fine stand of 159 with Dean Elgar, who's still there on 82.

  13. 'A really commanding innings'published at 14:18 British Summer Time 12 April

    Warwickshire 191-0 v Durham

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

That's Alex Davis' third century for Warwickshire and his first as captain.

It's been a really commanding innings.

    • Essex 165-2 v Kent
    • Hampshire 116-3 v Lancs
    • Notts 137-2 v Worcs
    • Surrey v Somerset 170-1
    • Warwickshire 191-0 v Durham

The batters are certainly enjoying life in Division One... just eight wickets have fallen in the five matches, 779 runs scored.

Could it be anything to do with the Kookaburra ball they're using once again in this round?

  15. 150 runs

150 partnershippublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey v Somerset 168-1

    The Somerset march continues.

Gus Atkinson drops short and Tom Lammonby effortlessly pulls it from outside off all the way to the midwicket fence.

That brings up the 150-run stand between him and Matt Renshaw as the runs continue to flow.

Lammonby is now up to 83.

  16. 50 for Joe Clarkepublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 12 April

    Notts 132-2 v Worcs

Twice Joe Clarke stepped out to swing Josh Baker down the ground for six before he blocks into cover and takes an easy single to reach an 88-ball fifty.

  17. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 12 April

    Essex 153-2 v Kent

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

Wes Agar runs around the outfield as Jordan Cox top edges a pull shot.

Agar gets both hands to the ball but cannot hold on. Cox gets a life on 59.

  18. 'Match could be a run-fest'published at 14:10 British Summer Time 12 April

    Warwickshire 185-0 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's been a great start to the game for Warwickshire. Put in by Durham this morning they are now 185-0 just half hour after lunch.

Alex Davies has led the way with an attacking century. It is his first against Durham and his third for The Bears.

His half century came in 57 balls and the century in 102. The knock includes 16 fours and a six. He's been finding the boundary with regularity, particularly on the off side.

Rob Yates scored 102 when these sides last met, back in the Bob Willis Trophy in 2021. He has 78 today.

With a small boundary on one side of the ground it looks like this match could be a run-fest.

  19. wicket

WICKET Vince c Bruce b Lyon 56published at 14:09 British Summer Time 12 April

    Hampshire 110-3 v Lancashire

    Got 'im!

We said it was a good contest between James Vince and Nathan Lyon before lunch and the Australia legend strikes with his first ball after lunch.

Lyon has done him with the leg trap.

Bowling round the wicket, he gets the Hampshire captain to edge it to leg slip and that is his first Lancashire dismissal.

    Super bowling!

  20. 'Not sure why Burns put Somerset in'published at 14:09 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey v Somerset 158-1

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

I can not think what is was to have possessed Rory Burns to put Somerset in.

I just wonder if it might be a bit of hubris - we're the county champions twice over, we can bowl anybody out on any pitch with any sort of ball and we're going to demonstrate that by putting Somerset in and bowling them out for under 200.

It's not worked so far but you never know.
