  1. 'Hampshire look a decent outfit'published at 17:26 26 May

    BBC Radio London

I can't see how Hampshire are mid-table because I think they are by far and away the best side that I've seen in Division One this season.

Maybe they've got their tails up and raised their game because it is Surrey but what I've seen of this Hampshire side is that they look a decent outfit.

  2. 50 partnership for Middlesexpublished at 17:25 26 May

    Middx 329-4 v Sussex 554-9 dec

Carbon copy of the previous Jayden Seales over.

He fires one down on leg stump and Ryan Higgins puts it away for four to move to 83 not out.

The 50 stand with Nathan Fernandes - who has 14 - has taken 90 balls

  3. 150 up for Surreypublished at 17:23 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 150-9 - trail by 332

You have to hand it to Ben Foakes.

He may have minimal movement with that back injury, but he has soaked up 95 balls in a losing cause.

A single off Felix Organ takes him to 14 and Surrey to 150.

  4. 'Didn't see this coming from Surrey'published at 17:21 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 149-9 - trail by 332

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

I know Hampshire were in the ascendancy with the batting but I didn't see this coming from Surrey for the second time.

Hampshire haven't only dominated Surrey, they've pummelled them.

That's against a team that's going for their third straight title, leads the division, unbeaten in the season and came into this game with four wins.

  5. WICKET Atkinson b Dawson 12published at 17:20 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 149-9 - trail by 332

    Almost there.

Gus Atkinson looks to turn Liam Dawson down the legside, but it spins out of the rough and gets bowled around his legs,

He looks bemused and well he might. This has been an absolute shellacking.

Dan Worrall is last man in.

  6. Postpublished at 17:19 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 146-8 - trail by 335

Hampshire are cruising to victory here, but Michael Neser refuses to give Surrey anything.

Gus Atkinson sweeps Felix Organ down to deep square keg and Neser dives full-length to prevent the boundary and keep it down to a single.

Ben Foakes collects a single before Atkinson does likewise, albeit off an inside edge down to fine leg.

  7. Postpublished at 17:19 26 May

    Middx 320-4 v Sussex 554-9 dec

Jayden Seales returns for another dart but is put away through mid-wicket for four by Ryan Higgins, who is now 77 not out.

  8. Postpublished at 17:16 26 May

    Kent 367-7 v Essex 591-7 dec

There are 11 overs left to go tonight.

Essex would give anything to get the two wickets needed to wrap this first innings up, assuming Wes Agar is not fit to bat.

But Harry Finch is in a determined mood as he edges up to 79 not out.

  9. Postpublished at 17:15 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 146-8 - trail by 335

Keith Barker is back on, replacing Liam Dawson, as James Vince looks to clean up the Surrey tail.

Gus Atkinson shows some nice orthodox defence before nicking a single to give ben Foakes two balls to face.

He's not capable of foot movement but blocks out the rest of the over.

Nine overs scheduled today. But surely there's a case for playing the extra half-hour.

  10. Postpublished at 17:11 26 May

    Middx 313-4 v Sussex 554-9 dec

Notwithstanding the wicket of Sam Robson, the new ball hasn't really had the impact Sussex must have been hoping for at Lord's.

Three singles are added from Danny Lamb's latest over and Middlesex are 241 behind with another 21 to be bowled.

  11. Postpublished at 17:10 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 143-8 - trail by 338

Gus Atkinson tries a reverse sweep and it comes off.

So he tries it again. Back-to-back boundaries off Felix Organ.

He follows it up with a single to take the deficit down to a princely 338 runs.

  12. Postpublished at 17:08 26 May

We wonder how many Hampshire players are Southampton FC fans....they certainly don't appear to have been distracted by events at Wembley.

Can they pick up these last two wickets and make it a day of double celebration?

  13. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 17:08 26 May

    Leics 343-9 dec v Glamorgan 387 & 14-1 - lead by 58

The rain has defeated us at Leicester, much to the chagrin of home supporters and players alike.

Leicestershire made an early breakthrough, removing Billy Root after declaring nine wickets down, 44 runs behind Glamorgan.

But just two overs were possible after tea as Glamorgan moved 58 runs ahead with nine wickets in hand going into the final day.

It would need a fair amount of late drama to get a result out of this one.

  14. Rain stops playpublished at 17:06 26 May

    Lancashire 149 v Warwickshire 284 & 96-3

We have been expecting this for the best part of 30 minutes, but the covers are now coming on as the players make their way off.

Ed Barnard's purposeful 40 not out has put Warwickshire in a very strong position.

They now lead by 231 runs and hold all the aces in this match.

  15. Five-wicket haul for Felix Organpublished at 17:00 26 May

    Abbott c Abbott b Organ 0 - Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 134-8 - trail by 348

Wonderful stuff from Felix Organ but a very ordinary shot from Sean Abbott.

Abbott looks to fire a shot over the top but fails to find the middle of the bat.

It loops up and gives his namesake Kyle Abbott a simple chest-high catch at mid-on.

    That's the third five-wicket haul of Organ's first-class career.

Surrey have lost their last three wickets for one run.

    Gus Atkinson is in.

  16. WICKET Evison b Westley 29published at 16:59 26 May

    Kent 358-7 v Essex 591-7 dec

Apologies to Tom Westley as he does indeed break the partnership!

Joey Evison goes to sweep one and misses. That ends a partnership of 73 between him and Harry Finch.

Essex would love to polish off this Kent innings tonight.

  17. Close of play at Northamptonpublished at 16:55 26 May

    Northamptonshire 301 v Yorkshire 362 & 156-5

The final session of play is washed out at Wantage Road but all results remain possible in this game, given better weather tomorrow.

Yorkshire lead by 217 overnight - with Shan Masood 82 not out - but if Northants can make early inroads, they could have a reasonable target to chase.

Alternatively, the Tykes could build a 300+ lead and they can then give their bowlers the chance to try and win the game for them.

With both teams still winless this season, there is every incentive not just to let it fizzle out on day four.

  18. Hits the helmet!published at 16:55 26 May

    Lancashire 149 v Warwickshire 284 & 85-3

Ed Barnard is in a positive mood but he goes to sweep and it misses everything and hits the helmet. That is five runs.

The next ball off Nathan Lyon and Barnard is back to punch it through the covers for four.

Barnard and Dan Mousley have put on a half-century stand in double quick time.

  19. WICKET Clark b Dawsonpublished at 16:54 26 May

    Hants 608-6 dec v Surrey 127 & 133-7 - trail by 348

Jordan Clark bags a pair and the end could be nigh for Surrey.

Clark looks to drive his third ball but is promptly yorked by Liam Dawson who sneaks one under the bat and onto the base of the off-stump.

That's a second wicket in the second innings and five in the match for Dawson.

Sean Abbott is the next man in.

  20. Postpublished at 16:53 26 May

    Middx 302-4 v Sussex 554-9 dec

It's taken them until the 90th over, but Middlesex claim their second batting point as Nathan Fernandes tucks Fynn Hudson-Prentice to mid-wicket and they are able to pick up three runs.

Another 25 overs are still scheduled to be bowled today.
