  1. 'A long, hard day for Somerset'published at 11:38 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 92-0 v Somerset 285

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

It was a brilliant first half of the day for Somerset yesterday.

And then going for the single that would have brought him his 100, Lammonby - well I would say he ran out Renshaw.

That run out triggered the most frightful collapse and although the skipper Lewis Gregory with a very important 50 carried Somerset to somewhere near respectability and at least one batting point, it was overall a disappointing day for Somerset.

I fear it's going to be a long hard day in the sun for Somerset's bowlers and fielders.

It's a pretty flat pitch, Somerset's bowlers are going to have to work very hard and bowl very well.

  2. Morning Gazpublished at 11:38 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 339-7 v Lancashire

After eight overs of seam from Tom Bailey and Will Williams, we have our first bowling change of the morning just as Liam Dawson and James Fuller start to look dangerous.

Nathan Lyon has the ball for over no.33.

  3. Postpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 92-0 v Somerset 285

A terrific pull shot from Dom Sibley - his 10th of the innings.

It is obviously catching as Rory Burns follows up with two fours in the next over from Craig Overton.

Both openers are into the forties.

  4. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 527-1 v Durham

For the first time in this innings, Durham have exerted a little bit of control with the ball.

Only 20 off the last seven overs as Alex Davies and Will Rhodes tick along.

No wickets of course, but it's better than nothing.

  5. 50 for Lyndon Jamespublished at 11:31 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 319-6 v Worcs

Lyndon James (Notts)Image source, Rex Features

That's a half-century for Lyndon James and it's thoroughly deserved.

James thrashes a wide ball from Joe Leach to the boundary and cover-drives the next for a single to reach his landmark from 108 balls.

He and Calvin Harrison have now put on 81 for this seventh wicket as Notts look to post a substantial total.

  6. Division Two latestpublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 13 April

Fynn Hudson-Prentice with the ballImage source, Rex Features

Sussex have bowled Leicestershire out for 338 early on day two with Liam Trevaskis failing to add to his overnight 82. Seamer Fynn Hudson-Prentice took a career-best 5-50.

But Sussex's first innings has got off to the worst possible start with Tom Clark going first ball.

Yorkshire are well on top at Gloucestershire after taking an early wicket. The hosts are 38-3 at Bristol, replying to Yorkshire's 326 all out.

Northants opener Emilio Gay is continuing on his merry way against Middlesex. He's up to 172 with his side on 326-4, although Middlesex have removed Rob Keogh this morning.

Derbyshire are looking good at Glamorgan. They're 59-1 and trail by just 178. Former Glamorgan batter and new Derbyshire captain David Lloyd is up to 46 against his old side.

  7. Postpublished at 11:27 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 329-7 v Lancashire

Liam Dawson shows his hand as he exploits a poor short ball from Will Williams to pull it over deep back square for six.

The next ball is a better stroke with a back foot drive through the covers for four more.

It's an expensive over from the normally tight Williams as James Fuller also gets a boundary from his second edge, which bounces just in front of second slip and runs away to the ropes.

    15 off the over.

  8. 'Moisture in the air'published at 11:25 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 310-6 v Worcs

    Jim Dale
    BBC Hereford and Worcester

It's a little bit overcast, a bit of moisture in the air which is what you want if you want early wickets.

  9. Close!published at 11:22 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 69-0 v Somerset 285

Somerset do need a wicket and it won't please Lewis Gregory as he gets an edge off Rory Burns' bat.

But the ball finds a way between second slip and a fourth slip/gully fielder and that is four more.

  10. Postpublished at 11:20 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 311-7 v Lancashire

New batter James Fuller gets off the mark with an edge for four.

It goes just beyond the reach of second slip and down to the boundary.

Fuller is a dangerous player as he can score very quickly as a big hitter.

  11. Postpublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 310-6 v Worcs

Nathan Smith is employing a bit of old-fashioned leg theory as Worcestershire look for their first breakthrough of the morning.

Smith is bowling around the wicket to Lyndon James, with a short leg and leg slip in catching positions, but the Notts all-rounder has dealt well with a series of short deliveries so far.

He's advanced to 43, with Calvin Harrison adding a single to his overnight 25.

  12. 'Durham will be hoping for high-scoring draw'published at 11:19

    Warwickshire 518-1 v Durham

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

What Durham will be hoping for at this stage is if we end up seeing a high-scoring draw.

It is quite difficult even just after one day, where do they go?

  13. 810-4 under threat?published at 11:18 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 516-1 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's 30 years since Warwickshire recorded their highest score in a first-class match. Their 810-4 was against Durham and included Brian Lara's world record 501*.

Could that team total be at risk today though? In the first exchanges of the morning Alex Davies and Will Rhodes took their second wicket stand to 150 and moments later Warwickshire were 500-1!

Durham's bowling was lacklustre and blunt yesterday. And after Scott Borthwick decided to field, having won the toss, they were punished. He thought there was a bit of moisture in the wicket which may have helped his bowlers. There wasn't. And with the Kookaburra ball, there was absolutely nothing doing for his attack.

Davies has a career-best 229 and Rhodes has 80. Unless The Bears declare soon, it looks like another long day in the field for the visitors.

WICKET Holland lbw b Williams 14published at 11:15 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 307-7 v Lancashire

Early breakthrough for the Red Rose!

A reward for some miserly bowling as Will Williams hits Ian Holland on the pad. It's very perpendicular and the batter is on his way.

Hampshire have added just two runs in 3.3 overs so far.

  15. The new Dom Sibley?published at 11:13 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 62-0 v Somerset 285

That is a gift for Dom Sibley.

Far too legside from Lewis Gregory and Sibley tickles it down fine for four - his second of the over.

It's his eighth of his innings so far to take him to 41. Maybe Sibley is changing the image of him as a curmudgeonly batter?

  16. 'Leading from the front'published at 11:13 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 513-1 v Durham

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

Alex Davies talking to us last night referred to it I guess almost as a monkey off the back getting that double century.

For him being captain at Warwickshire, I guess it just makes him feel a little settled in that role.

You want to be able to lead from the front with the bat in hand when you're captaining a side and he's doing that for sure.

  17. Postpublished at 11:10 British Summer Time 13 April

    Essex 425-6 v Kent

First target for Essex is this morning is to reach 450 before the bonus point cut-off and they've progressed towards that with four runs in the first two overs.

All of those have come off the bat of Matt Critchley, who's moved on to 108, with Simon Harmer at the other end on his overnight 12.

  18. 50 partnership for Surrey openerspublished at 11:10 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 52-0 v Somerset 285

First boundary of the morning at The Oval sees Rory Burns steering one past a vacant gully area and down to deep third.

Burns and Sibley are setting a nice platform.

  19. Postpublished at 11:06 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 305-6 v Worcs

Joe Leach tears in to deliver the first over of the day at Trent Bridge - and it's a maiden to Calvin Harrison.

Notts don't appear inclined to take any risks at the moment, although you'd think they must have one eye on trying to secure a third batting bonus point, with 45 more needed and another 13 overs in which to get them.

  20. 500 up!published at 11:05 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 507-1 v Durham

It has taken nine balls to get the nine runs needed to get to 500!

Will Rhodes hits two fours in three balls off Matt Potts to go over that landmark.

Make it three in four balls. Rhodes is up to 73.

And a single to finish - 13 off the over. Oh dear Durham!
