  1. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 367 v Lancashire 9-0

Lancashire captain Keaton Jennings wrapped up the Hampshire first innings with two catches.

He gets his side's reply up and running with a lovely on-drive off Kyle Abbott for four.

And his partner Luke Wells gets a boundary of his own as Abbott spears one down leg.

  2. Carse strugglingpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 615-3 v Durham

Now it is perhaps unfair to single any of the Durham bowlers out as they have all copped it in this innings.

But this is Brydon Carse's first bowling in Championship cricket of the summer. He has a two-year central contract so he is obviously on England's radar for the Test team.

He will just hope the radar is not working in the B5 area.

His current figures are 0-119 from 17 overs, at seven an over.

  3. Postpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 13 April

    Essex 530-7 dec v Kent 21-0

Solid start by the Kent openers, who have safely negotiated the first five overs in response to that Essex total of 530-7 declared.

Ben Compton has 15, with Tawanda Muyeye notching the other six runs.

It's been all seam so far, but you'd imagine Essex will give Simon Harmer a bowl before the lunch interval.

  4. 'Lancashire won't be too disappointed'published at 12:39 British Summer Time 13 April

Hampshire 367 all out v Lancashire

    Melissa Story
    BBC Radio Solent

I think Lancashire on the whole won't be too disappointed with that.

If you assess this to be a good batting pitch, when you look at the reliability of their top order in particular going on to this surface with the style of cricket that they play particularly the dependency of the top order.

If I was Lancashire I'd be thinking if that new Kookaburra ball is a bit null and void particularly with the sun coming out we can really maximise here.

  5. Sibley becalmedpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 134-0 v Somerset 285

We said earlier that Dom Sibley was possibly trying to change his style as he reached his 50 off 85 balls.

He now has 57 off 132 balls, with seven off his last 47.

But that breaks the shackles as he drives Craig Overton down the ground for a welcome four.

The key thing is that he is still at the crease.

  6. wicket

    WICKET: Patterson-White lbw b D'Oliveira 0published at 12:36 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 385-8 v Worcs

As the saying goes, one brings two.

Pears skipper Brett D'Oliveira is the man who picks up the second of those wickets, pinning Liam Patterson-White leg before on the back foot and Notts are eight down.

Luke Fletcher is the new arrival at the crease.

  7. 'Sussex have recovered'published at 12:34 British Summer Time 13 April

    Leics 338 v Sussex 64-1

    Adrian Harms

Sussex have recovered from the loss of Tom Clark to the first ball of their innings with Haines and Alsop compiling a steady half century partnership.

Haines in particular looks in good form being particularly severe on anything over pitched.

Earlier in the day Fynn Hudson-Prentice returned career-best figures taking 5-50 as the Leicestershire tail added just 12 runs to their overnight total.

  8. 600 up for the Bearspublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 600-3 v Durham

Dan Mousley pushes one out into the covers and that is the side's 600. Mousley has a run-a-ball 17.

Warwickshire are 210 behind their record score of 810-4 dec.

It is the third 600-plus score of the season already in the Championship.

  9. wicket

WICKET: Harrison c Libby b Baker 52published at 12:30 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 384-7 v Worcs

Finally, Worcestershire have broken this Notts seventh-wicket stand of 146.

Calvin Harrison is the man to go, driving uppishly at left-arm spinner Josh Baker and Jake Libby judges it well, running back from mid-on to take the catch.

Liam Patterson-White emerges to join Lyndon James, who is 13 short of his century.

  10. wicket

HAMPSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 367published at 12:27 British Summer Time 13 April

    Abbott c Jennings b Lyon 7

Kyle Abbott does not fancy blocking with Mohammad Abbas for company and he advances down the track to Nathan Lyon.

He succeeds only in picking out Keaton Jennings at long-on.

Hampshire have added 62 this morning for their last four wickets with Dawson top-scoring with 86.

Lyon finishes with figures of 38.1-6-110-3.

  11. Kent made to suffer by 'nemesis' Critchleypublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 13 April

    Essex 530-7 dec v Kent 0-0

    Alex Hoad
    BBC Radio Kent commentator

A pretty torrid opening hour for Kent at Chelmsford is brought to an and by Essex's declaration, which felt also merciful at the time.

Matt Critchley is something of a nemesis for Kent, his maiden 150 is his third straight century against their neighbours from the other side of the bridge in the County Championship here and he also got 90+ in his last knock at Canterbury.

The all-rounder also weighed-in with four wickets in a high-scoring draw in this fixture two years ago.

Ben Compton and Tawanda Muyeye will have their sights firmly set on getting through a tricky 40-minute new ball spell before lunch.

  12. wicket

WICKET Fuller c Jennings b Wells 27published at 12:23 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 365-9 v Lancashire

    Gone.

Luke Wells strikes with his part-time leg spin. That is probably a bit unfair as Wells can be awkward with his height and bounce as that is what does for James Fuller.

The Hampshire man is taken by surprise by the lift and it flies sharply to slip, where Jennings takes it in his midriff.

  13. Not outpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hampshire 365-8 v Lancashire

Lancashire think they have Kyle Abbott LBW to Nathan Lyon as the South African plays forward.

Not out. It is not the most vigorous of appeals from the Australia off-spinner with his hands on his haunches.

It is over 38 after all!

  14. 50 for Calvin Harrisonpublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 376-6 v Worcs

Calvin Harrison (Notts)Image source, Rex Features

Maiden first-class 50 for Calvin Harrison!

It's been a measured knock by the Notts man, who has provided staunch support for Lyndon James in this vital partnership and now brings up his half-century from 141 balls.

Harrison gets there by steering Jason Holder off the back foot for a single as Notts close in on a total of 400 and beyond.

  15. Bashir bowlingpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 125-0 v Somerset 285

England spinner Shoaib Bashir has the ball in his hands and Rory Burns greets him by dancing down the track and whipping him through leg for four.

A shot of real authority from the Surrey skipper.

  16. 'Kent will fancy themselves'published at 12:17 British Summer Time 13 April

    Essex 530-7 dec v Kent

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

Essex get 530-7 before they are waved in by Tom Westley.

Matt Critchley finishes 151 not out with a beautifully paced and crafted innings with just five fours added to by four sixes.

There was a nice moment for Jaydn Denly claiming his first wicket on first class debut but he did not escape some rough treatment with Shane Snater clubbing him into the pavilion for a mighty six which had the members scrambling for safety.

The batting conditions have not changed so Kent will fancy themselves, perhaps more so with the absence of Sam Cook but Essex do have the magic man, Simon Harmer to call on.

  17. 'Somerset look flatpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 121-0 v Somerset 285

  18. 200 for Emilio Gaypublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 13 April

    Division Two latest

Northants opener Emilio Gay has just brought up his maiden double hundred with his side well placed on 365-4 against Middlesex.

Gay reached the milestone off 320 balls and has struck 21 fours.

Elsewhere in Division Two, Derbyshire have lost skipper David Lloyd for 60 but are still going strong against Glamorgan. They're 83-2 in reply to the hosts' first-innings 237 in Cardiff.

No more wickets for Yorkshire after that early one against Gloucestershire. Cameron Bancroft has 27 in Gloucestershire's 59-3.

Sussex have recovered well after losing Tom Clark first ball. They're 45-1, but still trail Leicestershire's first innings by 293.

  19. 'There's just no room for error'published at 12:13 British Summer Time 13 April

    Warwickshire 572-3 v Durham

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire

What is happening certainly in this game and we saw it last week is with the Kookaburra ball they've got less margin for error.

Anything that is a poor delivery, a poor spell or a poor over is kind of treated more harshly by the batters.

There's just no room for error.

  20. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 121-0 v Somerset 285

Somerset need a wicket. What they do not need is to drop catches.

And that is a great chance that Tom Banton has spilled at deep mid-wicket after Rory Burns nails his pull shot from Kasey Aldridge.

This could be a long day for the visitors.
