  1. WICKET Ackermann c Burgess b Miles 0published at 15:15 13 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 45-2

Debutant Colin Ackermann goes for a four-ball duck!

Craig Miles is in his first over and third ball, he puts it in the right area and Ackermann is caught behind.

The batter is not convinced, but the umpires come together and confirm that he has to go.

  2. WICKET Borthwick c Burgess b Hannon-Dalby 16published at 15:10 13 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 42-1

Not sure 16 is the contribution that Scott Borthwick was aiming for after that huge Warwickshire total.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby gets one to lift just outside off and that does for Borthwick as he edges it behind.

  3. 100 up for Lancashirepublished at 15:07 13 April

    Hampshire 367 v Lancashire 103-1

Positive stuff from Josh Bohannon since he has come in at number three.

He dances down and hits Liam Dawson for a fine six and then comes down again and hits an in-out lofted shot for four.

That sees the side go past 100.

  4. 'You owe us, skip!'published at 15:06 13 April

    Warwickshire 698-3 dec v Durham 40-0

Somewhat watchful stuff from the Durham openers.

They have seen off 14 overs with Alex Lees on 26 and captain Scott Borthwick, 14.

Of course yesterday Borthwick asked Warwickshire to bat first. He may feel that he needs a big contribution here.

  5. 'Sibley will be disappointed'published at 15:02 13 April

    Surrey 214-3 v Somerset 285

    Roland Butcher
Former Middlesex and England batter on BBC Radio London

Dom Sibley will be disappointed but the breakthrough has come at the right time.

I think Sibley was certainly underestimating the ability of Lewis Goldsworthy. It's cost him his wicket.

  6. WICKET Sibley b Goldsworthy 100published at 14:57 13 April

    Surrey 214-3 v Somerset 285

Dom Sibley reaches his 100, but cannot go on.

The unlikely wicket-taker is Lewis Goldsworthy for just his second first-class wicket with his slow left-armers.

Goldsworthy spears it in, Sibley blocks it down on to his boot but it rolls back and disturbs the bails.

  7. 50 partnershippublished at 14:52 13 April

    Essex 530-7 dec v Kent 77-1

Still no breakthrough for Essex in this afternoon session and they've opted for a double change, bowling-wise.

Aaron Beard has sent down two maidens to begin his spell, while Matt Critchley is on at the other end, but Kent are still ticking along without any alarms.

Daniel Bell-Drummond has just cut Beard for a couple to raise the 50 partnership with Ben Compton and it's one the right-hander has dominated, accounting for 34 of those runs.

  8. WICKET Wells c Prest b Abbas 58published at 14:51 13 April

    Hampshire 367 v Lancashire 87-1

Luke Wells was purring, but he is gone now!

He will be annoyed with himself as he flicks a Mohammad Abbas delivery to short mid-wicket.

The fifth batter to score 50 or more in this game. And the fifth to fail to reach 100.

  9. 100 for Dom Sibleypublished at 14:51 13 April

    Surrey 214-2 v Somerset 285

Dom Sibley tucks Shoaib Bashir round the corner for the two runs he needs to reach three figures.

He reaches the landmark off 208 balls with 17 fours. Well batted!

The 20th first-class century of his career.

  10. Postpublished at 14:49 13 April

    Surrey 212-2 v Somerset 285

Successive fours for Jamie Smith off Kasey Aldridge.

The first, a terrific straight drive and the second is even better, stroked through the covers.

Four fours now in his 18 and if he sticks around, Somerset could be in deep trouble.

  11. Postpublished at 14:43 13 April

    Surrey 202-2 v Somerset 285

The trouble when you get a Surrey wicket is the sight of the new batter coming to the crease.

Ollie Pope is out and Jamie Smith is the new man and he gets going with two fours in a Kasey Aldridge over.

He already has 10 off six balls and that brings up the 200.

  12. Postpublished at 14:41 13 April

    Hampshire 367 v Lancashire 83-0

Liam Dawson is thrown the ball for the first time, but Lancashire's openers are ready for the fight.

Keaton Jennings cracks one off the back foot for four, before Luke Wells comes down the pitch and hits over the top for another one.

All told, 13 off the over. Very productive.

  13. 'Kent battle hard to keep Essex at bay'published at 14:38 13 April

    Essex 530-7 dec v Kent 68-1

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

All a bit soporific here at Chelmsford as Kent battle hard to keep Essex at bay.

The one window of opportunity for the home side came and went with Jordan Cox putting down a sharp chance offered by Ben Compton at slip off the bowling of Simon Harmer.

Essex are now seeing just how the Kent attack felt trying to take wickets on a relatively dead surface.

  14. Postpublished at 14:38 13 April

    Notts 399 v Worcs 24-2

Nottinghamshire will hope Lyndon James is still smarting from narrowly missing out on a century this morning.

The all-rounder has just been brought into the attack, with Notts looking to follow up the early dismissals of both Worcestershire openers.

Since then, Kashif Ali and Rob Jones have been rebuilding steadily, reaching 13 and six respectively.

  15. WICKET Gay run out 261published at 14:34 13 April

    Northants 493-5 v Middlesex

A magnificent innings comes to an end as Emilio Gay is run out by Max Holden.

The Northants opener batted for 401 balls and hit 22 fours and a six.

Surely a home declaration will come shortly?

  16. 50 for Luke Wellspublished at 14:34 13 April

    Hampshire 367 v Lancashire 70-0

Luke Wells completes an excellent half-century with a clip legside for a single off Mohammad Abbas.

It his first of the season, coming off 65 balls.

  17. WICKET Pope c sub (Ogborne) b Aldridge 11published at 14:33 13 April

    Surrey 192-2 v Somerset 285

The flattery from the BBC Radio Somerset commentator has worked!

Kasey Aldridge bends his back and digs one into the pitch and Ollie Pope takes on the hook but succeeds only in picking out the fielder at deep backward square.

He goes for just 11, way short of his Oval average in the high 90s!

The England man tosses his bat up in frustration as he trudges off.

  18. 'Pope looks in complete control'published at 14:32 13 April

    Surrey 191-1 v Somerset 285

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

No sign of Surrey collapsing in the way that Somerset did yesterday.

Ollie Pope has looked in complete control out there so far.

  19. Postpublished at 14:30 13 April

    Essex 530-7 dec v Kent 60-1

It felt as though Kent needed to lift the shackles and Daniel Bell-Drummond has just done that, using his feet to Simon Harmer and clobbering the spinner for two straight fours in quick succession.

That takes Bell-Drummond up to 26, overtaking partner Ben Compton who has 23 to his name.

  20. 'Lancashire batters pro-active'published at 14:26 13 April

    Hampshire 367 v Lancashire 50-0

    Melissa Story
    BBC Radio Solent

I really like the way that the Lancashire batters have been pro-active in the sense that they recognise that they can get an early advantage on Hampshire if they unsettle their bowlers.

They've done that by getting to this many runs without losing a wicket.
