  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18 overs

    Abhishek c Archer b Rashid 135 (Ind 237-7)

But now his innings comes to an end.

Abhishek lashes out into the cover, and Jofra Archer takes the catch on the ropes.

A mighty 135 from 54 balls - a superb innings, although maybe not from an England fan's perspective.

  2. 6 runs

    Ind 237-6published at 17.5 overs

    And the 13th!

Over ropes at long-on, and that takes Abhishek into the top 10 all-time T20I scores, and that includes a number of innings from non-Test playing nations.

  3. 6 runs

    Ind 227-2published at 17.2 overs

    And the 12th six!

England bring back Adil Rashid and Abhishek smacks his second ball over the ropes down the ground.

That takes the opener past Shubman Gill's 126 against India in 2023, the highest score in T20Is by an Indian batter.

1-44 were Jofra Archer's most expensive figures in a T20I coming into this series. He's twice conceded more than that in this series (1-55 today, 1-60 in Chennai)

  5. Ind 219-6published at 17 overs

    Four more, down the ground.

It's Axar Patel this time, a lovely shot out of the coaching manual.

Carse finishes with figures of 3-38, with 17 runs coming from this over.

    Ah, that's more familiar.

Abhishek smacks a full ball high over long-on for his 11th six, the most by an Indian in T20 internationals.

I hope McCullum fronts up for the interviews after today, and the 4-1 series defeat. Look forward to our hearing how entertaining England have been.

  8. Ind 206-6published at 16.1 overs

Abhishek hasn't seen much of the strike lately, but he cashes in facing Brydon Carse's first ball.

He smacks the delivery straight down the ground, causing the umpire to duck away, with the ball beating the converging fielders on the boundary.

  9. Ind 202-6published at 16 overs

Archer sends a final ball bouncer whistling past new batter Axar Patel.

The England seamer finishes with figures of 1-55, with eight of those runs and the wicket coming from his final over.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.5 overs

Rinku lbw b Archer (Ind 202-6)

    Yep, that's gone.

Rinku's bat seemed to get stuck behind his pad as he tried to defend.

He'd backed away a little, and despite the ball hitting the top of his pad, the tracking has a strike on the top of off.

Rinku heads to the pavilion and India lose a review.

  11. Umpire reviewpublished at 15.5 overs

Rinku Singh whips Archer away for four through long leg before hustling a couple of twos in the leg side.

But hello, does Jofra Archer have him here? He strikes Rinku on the top of the pad, up goes the umpire's finger but India are going to review...

For me this situation just highlights the ineptitude of some of England's thinking. Why when India have been scoring so freely would you put your two most expensive bowlers on one after the other, to serve up more easy pickings? Unbelievable.

  13. Ind 194-5published at 15 overs

Rinku Singh takes a single towards square to get off the mark from his first ball, before Abhishek fails to score from Wood's final ball.

Five overs to go, England are going to give Jofra Archer his final over.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.4 overs

    Pandya c Livingstone b Wood 9 (Ind 193-5)

    Fired straight to Liam Livingstone!

Mark Wood has his second wicket, despite Hardik Pandya really getting hold of a pull shot.

The ball goes flat and hard and right into the hands of Livingstone, who takes the catch having taken a couple of steps in from the square leg boundary.

From the last 40 balls, India are 66-4 - shame about the preceding deliveries.

  15. 6 runs

    Ind 193-4published at 14.3 overs

    Hardik Pandya gets his go!

Mark Wood returns and Hardik lifts his third ball over mid-wicket for six.

  16. Ind 185-4published at 14 overs

    Abhishek 107 (43), Hardik 2 (3)

Strong close to the over from Brydon Carse as the India batters can only take three singles from it.

The Durham seamer has figures of 3-21 from his three overs, contrasting sharply with the numbers of his teammates.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.2 overs

    Dube c Rashid b Carse 30 (Ind 182-4)

A third wicket for Brydon Carse!

Shivam Dube lashes his first ball for four, breaking past mid-off, but Carse gets his man from the following delivery.

He digs it in short and Dube top-edges a pull, with the ball spiralling into the hands of Adil Rashid on the ropes at fine leg.

Hand off the bat again from Abhishek Sharma as an out of control shot sends the ball flying for four through backward point.

  19. Not outpublished at 12.4 overs

    Ind 173-3

    Looked hopeful, was hopeful.

Jos Buttler took a while to be convinced, and little wonder - it was pitching a fair way outside leg.

    India take the leg bye.

  20. Umpire reviewpublished at 12.4 overs

Overton goes for an lbw off Dube.

Looks hopeful, but England will take anything at this stage.
