I am surprised, Mahmood should be playing this game. Mark Wood hasn't done as well as Mahmood. If you want to get Wood in, Archer's played four.

Could they have played another spinner? Rehan Ahmed's in the squad, could it have been worth trying with another frontline spinner. I think they had options to tinker with the balance of the side.

It's a bit of a free hit to do it - you don't often get a chance to do that in international cricket. So the more I think about, it the more I am surprised.

India: Sanju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Shami, Varun Chakravarthy

England: Phil Salt (wk), Ben Duckett, Jos Buttler (c), Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood

One change for each side, with two seamers who were rotated out in Pune returning to their respective line-ups.

Mark Wood comes back after Saqib Mahmood played his first match of the series on Friday, while Mohammed Shami swaps in for Arshdeep Singh for the second time in this five-game run.

Shivam Dube is fit to play for India after a failing a concussion test on Friday. That saw Harshit Rana rather controversially come into India's side and play a vital role in their win - hence Jos Buttler's impact subs joke at the toss.

  10. 'That's what we want - boys raising their hand in tough situations'published at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time

India captain Suryakumar Yadav: "We wanted to bat first. It looks a good wicket and there's a bit of breeze around so we're hoping there isn't any dew.

"I just saw when we came, there's a lot of guys coming in and I'm sure it's going to be packed stadium tonight.

"That's what we want - boys raising their hand in tough situations. That's what we demand and that's what they're doing.

"If you want to play that brand of cricket - high risk, high reward - there'll be times you'll fail. But you need to see how often you get success and stick to it."

  11. 'We've played some good cricket'published at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time

England captain Jos Buttler: "We've played some good cricket in patches. We're trying to enforce the style of cricket we want to play and put pressure on in the game.

"There's a good vibe about the team, and this is one of the great venues. Both teams are high octane batting. If there's ever a venue for it, it's going to be today.

"We're going to chase. We've got one change and four impact subs today."

  12. England win the toss and bowlpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time

    Straight out to the middle.

It's a repeat from Pune - Jos Buttler wins the toss and chooses to bowl again.

It's not been the greatest few days for English cricket.

Defeat in the Women's Ashes, defeat in the Lions Test, defeat for both under-19 sides.

And the men's side's loss in Pune on Friday meant they can't win this five-match T20 series.
