    Ali-Khan b Jordan 0 (USA 115-8)

Chris Jordan bends his back to send a quick one right through Muhammad Ali-Khan's defences.

Corey Anderson hasn't really given anything USA in this tournament. He's not someone to tap singles around but that's what he has done in this tournament. We've just been waiting for him to unleash himself.

    Anderson c Brook b Jordan 27 (USA 115-7)

Another full toss is driven low and hard - and straight to Harry Brook, who does not have to move much at long on to take it.

That's the meatball delivery! It should go over the ropes but doesn't. It should have been gobbled up.

  6. WICKETpublished at 18 overs

    Harmeet Singh c Jordan b Curran 21 (USA 115-6)

A superb catch from Chris Jordan - how many times do we say that?

A full bunger is pumped down the ground and Jordan dives to take it just above the turf.

  7. USA 115-5published at 17.5 overs

Harmeet Singh slashes a four through the off side, then a slower ball is heaved for six but only after Harry Brook cannot quite get to a tough chance diving on the rope.

  8. USA 105-5published at 17.3 overs

We're bound to hear 'Sweet Caroline' later, but surely 'America' might be apt?

Anyway, Sam Curran is back for only his second over and seems to have shaken off that knee problem.

The slower ball tactic works nicely, but Moeen Ali could have sent Corey Anderson back to the pavilion, a fierce drive skims off his fingers high above his head.

  9. USA 101-5published at 17 overs

Chris Jordan's recall has paid off nicely so far, and that over went for just four - but at least USA have made it past 100.

    Marching band

The local marching band that I bumped into a little earlier (see picture above) are currently playing a version of Sweet Caroline.

It's going down well among the England fans as you might expect.

Other Neil Diamond songs are available...

  11. USA 98-5published at 16.2 overs

Chris Jordan is back for the 17th over, and Corey Anderson's heave to leg lands just short of Jonny Bairstow at deep square leg. Bairstow was interested for a moment but made sure it wasn't going to go for any more than a single.

  12. USA 97-5published at 16 overs

Jofra Archer proves difficult to get away for the rest of that over, and at around 90mph that's not a surprise.

That just sat up for him and he smoked it. These two shared a match-winning partnership against Bangladesh in May.

  14. USA 95-5published at 2.2 overs

Jofra Archer still has two overs up his sleeve, and he's back, but when he takes the pace off outside off stump, Harmeet Singh ricks back and slashes him to the boundary.

USA's stubborn refusal to pick a leg-spinner in their T20 World Cup squad being highlighted in contrast by England today with Adil Rashid, who got two key wickets. They have no variety outside finger spin in their bowling attack. USA has good leg-spinners around the country, so why are they not picking them?

My taxi driver yesterday was telling me how he used to play cricket with Chris Jordan, plus half of the current West Indies team, at school.

He said Jordan wasn't a standout player in those days.

  17. USA 91-5published at 15 overs

Adil Rashid's spell ends with just three from the final over, he finishes with 2-13 - excellent stuff.

England look very chilled out there. They are in control of the game. The USA are going to have target someone, and get some runs from somewhere.

  19. Postpublished at 16:35 23 June

Adil Rashid stalled the USA innings with two wickets earlier.

  20. USA 89-5published at 14 overs

Adil Rashid is back for his final over as Harmeet Singh joins Corey Anderson. It feels like it is all on Anderson's shoulders now.
