  1. Aus 103-6published at 17 overs

Jofra Archer looks menacing, but Sean Abbott and Alex Carey keep him at bay.

Carey toe ends a yorker and Jamie Smith takes the catch, but it's bump ball despite the crowd's excitement.

Here's five of the six Australian wickets to fall so far.

  2. Aus 98-6published at 19:43 British Summer Time 27 September

    Target 313

England's middle-overs enforcer Brydon Carse finds the edge of Sean Abbott's bat with his penultimate delivery but it flies wide of the slip cordon.

Four wickets for England to take. Jofra Archer to bowl his seventh over.

Jofra Archer has averaged 89 mph in both of his spells so far today, only in his opening spell vs USA at the T20 World Cup (90mph) has he bowled quicker in 2024.

    Thanks, Mike.

England fans will be hoping this one is wrapped in time for them to make it back to their local for last orders.

  5. Aus 96-6published at 15 overs

We finally get the final two deliveries of Archer's sixth over, with the England seamer firing down a couple of dot balls to new batter Sean Abbott.

Time for me to trudge off like an Australian batter - here's Timothy Abraham to take you through.

This is a massive, massive wicket for England. Australia are 96 for six with Travis Head back, Steven Smith back and Glenn Maxwell back - all the key batters that you can think of in this line-up are gone!

  7. wicket

    Maxwell c Smith b Archer 2 (Aus 96-6)

    There goes another one!

Having seen Alex Carey drop an edge just short of slip two balls earlier, Maxwell attempts an ugly pull shot off Archer and edges behind to Jamie Smith.

The players will take drinks, allowing Australia plenty of time to contemplate the fact they've lost six wickets for 28 runs in 7.1 overs.

  8. Aus 93-5published at 15 overs

Glenn Maxwell walks in to join Alex Carey, two new batters at the crease - but Carey has scores of 74 and 77* in his last two innings, while we know what Maxwell is capable of.

The Australia number seven attempts a big drive to get going and sees the ball fly by - Carse looks slightly incredulous at how well that ball went.

England surely on course to win this game now! Australia are five wickets down and the target seems a country mile away. Well done, Brydon Carse!

  10. wicket

    Labuschagne b Carse (Aus 93-5)

And they're in more trouble now!

Carse cleans up Labuschagne as he tries to defend - top of off, knocking the single stump out of the ground.

A beautiful delivery, and Labuschagne walks off with four from 10.

That's a good catch from Will Jacks. He saw it coming and went, but didn't quite get the timing of the jump right. What a good little spell from England's seam bowlers this is!

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.2 overs

    Inglis c Jacks b Carse 8 (Aus 91-4)

    Another Australian falls!

Josh Inglis gets two off the first ball of Carse's over, walking across his stumps and managing a rather out of control ramp shot out to fine leg.

From this next ball he tries the cover drive, his hand coming off the bat handle, and picks out Will Jacks at cover, leaping to take the catch above his head.

He departs for eight from 15 - Australia in trouble now.

  13. Aus 89-3published at 14 overs

Another boundary-less over from Archer - Australia have only hit one four, in the tenth over, since losing their first wicket in the ninth.

The required run-rate is up at nine an over having started at a smidge over eight.

  14. Aus 84-3published at 13 overs

Carse finishes with a couple of dots to Josh Inglis, who is on four from 11 deliveries.

It's a difficult low chance for Adil Rashid. But he had done the hard work to reach it and get his hands under it.

  16. dropped catch

Labuschagne dropped on onepublished at 12.4 overs

    Aus 84-3

    Put down!

Labuschagne goes for the pull shot off Carse and it's heading towards Adil Rashid at backward point.

The England spinner runs in from the boundary but spills the ball diving forward.

Should have been taken - Australia run a single.

  17. Aus 82-3published at 12 overs

Just the 93mph delivery to follow up, Labuschange wisely leaves it alone.

He gets off strike from the following delivery with a push to backward point.

That's hurt Marnus Labuschagne. I think it's hit him on the arm and he's in some pain! That was aggressive from Jofra Archer and Labuschagne seems to have taken his eyes off it!

  19. Aus 80-3published at 11.3 overs

Welcome to the match, Marnus Labuschagne.

The Australian number five drops his hands to Archer's next delivery and the ball crashes into the top of his left fore-arm.

Labuschagne drops his bat and is evidently in considerable pain.

The physio comes on and straps up the limb - there'll be no retirement.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.2 overs

    Marsh b Archer 28 (Aus 80-3)

    Topples the stumps!

Archer returns to replace Potts and cleans Mitchell Marsh up with his second legitimate delivery.

Up towards 90mph, past the outside the edge and ripping out the stumps.

Not much Marsh could do about that.
