  2. LEICESTERSHIRE DRAW WITH GLOUCESTERSHIREpublished at 18:27 British Summer Time 20 May
    Breaking

    Leics 377-7 v Glos - lead by 42

Ben Mike slams Miles Hammond over mid wicket for four to take the lead to 42.

In theory four overs are left...

No. The captains shake hands on a draw.

Gloucestershire took seven of the 10 wickets needed but couldn't quite finish Leicestershire off in order to pick up their second Championship win of the season.

A century and a 50 in the game for Rishi Patel and a stubborn eighth wicket partnership of 61 between Ben Mike and Tom Scriven keep Gloucestershire at bay.

Gloucestershire take 14 points. Leicestershire have 11.

  3. MIDDLESEX BEAT GLAMORGAN BY TWO WICKETSpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 20 May
    Breaking

    Glamorgan 183 & 372 v Middlesex 343 & 213-8

    What a finish!

Tom Helm is the man who strikes the winning runs, drilling Mason Crane straight back to the fence at long on and Middlesex squeeze home in a thriller.

Helm finishes 25 not out, with Jack Davies on 22 and just five overs to spare.

It's harsh on Crane, who bowled superbly for his 5-99, but this could be a crucial result in the Division Two promotion race.

  4. Postpublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 209-8 (target 213)

Jack Davies plays out a maiden over from Andy Gorvin, so now it's back to Mason Crane to try and turn this back towards the home side.

Middlesex need four runs from a possible 36 balls.

  5. Postpublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 20 May

    Leics 361-7 (lead by 26) v Gloucs

Gloucestershire are pretty much out of time here.

Ben Mike has played a superb cameo, hitting 31 off 39 balls to take Leicestershire into the lead.

Six overs to go, three wickets needed, and then runs to knock off. Unlikely.

  6. DERBYSHIRE DRAW WITH NORTHANTSpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 20 May
    Breaking

    Derbys 261-9 v Northants (target 371)

Ben Sanderson drops short and Anuj Dal pulls into the ground for no run.

Picked up at forward short leg by Justin Broad.

Dal defends. The third ball is edged between fourth and fifth slip for four runs!

    Is that the game?

Six slips now plus a leg slip. Dal plays and misses.

Seven slips now. Dal drives into the on side for four. Over.

The umpires have called time and it's a draw.

Frustration for Northants after a first innings 422 and a second innings 310-3, led by Emilio Gay's unbeaten 153.

Derbyshire fell 60 behind on first innings and crashed from 127-2 to 149-7 in the second on the stroke of tea.

All five wickets fell to the spin of Liam Patterson-White (3-58) and Rob Keogh, who took 5-62.

But Zak Chappell hit back with an aggressive 72 and Dal battled through 139 balls for an unbeaten 31.

Northants take 13 points and Derbyshire 12.

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 209-8 (target 213)

Tom Helm, who spent a loan period at Glamorgan earlier in his career, could just be the Middlesex hero on his return to Cardiff.

Helm has just glanced Mason Crane to the boundary to bring the runs required down to four.

It's been a terrific effort by Helm and Jack Davies, who have added 48 so far for the ninth wicket - can they get Middlesex home?

  8. Postpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 197-8 (target 213)

Heart in mouth moment as Tom Helm gets a thick edge off Mason Crane - it's fractionally wide of the slip fielder and the ball rolls across the rope for a crucial four runs.

We've got nine overs left, Middlesex need 16 and Glamorgan need two wickets.

    All four results still possible!

    Derbys 257-9 v Northants (target 371)

    First ball for Daryn Dupavillon...

Pushed just past Justin Broad at silly point!

Dupavillon drives and Keogh dives to field it.

A push to backward point off the last ball. No run. Wicket maiden.

The last ball of the over is blocked.

    10 minutes left maximum.

  10. Postpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 20 May

Leics 346-7 (lead by 11 runs) v Gloucs

Every boundary takes Leicestershire closer to earning a draw and Ben Mike has just hit two of them in three balls off Beau Webster with a couple of pull shots.

10 overs to go in the sunshine.

Rob Keogh has 5-62 in 21.1 overs.

New ball taken as time is running outpublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 257-8 v Northants (target 371)

Ben Sanderson is back on with a new ball.

We can play on until just past 6pm.

Four slips and a leg slip are in for Anuj Dal.

Dal is forward and across to defend. Five slips now.

Dal is late to block the last one but pushes the ball safely down the pitch.

Maiden over and number 10 Blair Tickner will face.

  13. 'Somerset had too much'published at 17:56 British Summer Time 20 May

Result: Somerset beat Kent by eight wickets

    Ian Randall
    BBC Radio Kent

Somerset had too much, that's the truth of the matter.

They scored quickly on the opening day. Kent did not bat enough in their first innings and they left themselves a long way behind in the game.

The last hour on the third day was critical, four wickets went down in that period and from that point on you always felt that Somerset were favourites to win and they've won probably with a little bit more in hand than they might have imagined.

Somerset now go second in the table and Kent just have Lancashire below them with Essex to come to Canterbury on Friday.

  14. Postpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 191-8 (target 213)

How deep can Middlesex take this?

Jack Davies and Tom Helm have now added 29 runs since they came together and 22 more are needed to reach their target.

Davies has been trying to soak up pressure, but he's finally registered his first boundary after an hour and a half at the crease, pulling Mason Crane through midwicket.

  15. 'Somerset's 554 in the first innings was the foundation'published at 17:54 British Summer Time 20 May

Result: Somerset beat Kent by eight wickets

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A magnificent way to end a magnificent win by Somerset in the Taunton sunshine.

Commiserations to Kent who have fought hard through this morning session on into the afternoon. Their second innings built around that magnificent innings of 238 from Zak Crawley.

But the 554 that Somerset scored in the first innings with centuries from Tom Banton and James Rew and important contributions form Lewis Gregory and Tom Lammonby - that was the foundation on which this win has been built.

Well played Kent but in the end not quite enough.

  16. Postpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 257-8 v Northants (target 371)

Two overs to go of the stipulated allocation but we'll get a bit more cricket than that.

Liam Patterson-White will bowl his left arm spin round the wicket to number 10 Blair Tickner.

    Six fielders around the bat.

Tickner is forward to block. Maiden over.

  17. Foxes move into leadpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 20 May

Leics 337-7 f/o (lead by two runs) v Gloucs

Crucially Leicestershire have crept into the lead, meaning Gloucestershire will have to bat again.

12 overs to go, three wickets still needed... and then a small chase.

  18. Postpublished at 17:49 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 257-8 v Northants (target 371)

A silly point, silly mid on, and silly mid off come in for Anuj Dal, facing Rob Keogh. Two slips and a leg slip. So no pressure.

Keogh bowls round the wicket and Dal pushes defensively down the ground.

    Maiden over.

  19. Postpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 183-8 (target 213)

It's a charmed life for Tom Helm at the moment. After surviving that caught behind appeal against Mason Crane, he then edges a ball from James Harris down onto his leg and somehow avoids deflecting it onto the stumps.

Still, Helm is looking like Middlesex's best bet of hauling this game back - he also pulled Harris to the midwicket boundary to bring the target down a notch further.

Middlesex need 30, Glamorgan need two wickets in these remaining 13 overs.
