  1. 50 runs

50 for Zak Chappellpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 224-7 v Northants (target 371)

His second 50 of the season and the fourth of his career.

He reaches the landmark with a front-footed push off the bowling of Liam Patterson-White through mid wicket for his 10th four.

    Just 61 balls.

  2. 'Pitch a factor on first day for Kent?'published at 17:00 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 119-2 v Kent (target 189)

    Ian Randall
    BBC Radio Kent

I don't know how much Daniel Bell-Drummond will look back at his decision at the toss in this match but I just wonder if this pitch didn't actually give him as much as he thought it might on that first day.

  3. Postpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 220-7 v Northants (target 371)

Zak Chappell has switched to defensive mode as he's back to Liam Patterson-White, pushing the ball safely back to the bowler.

Rob Keogh is short and cut to backward point by Anuj Dal for one.

The next ball is leg side and glanced fine for one.

Dal gets two more nudged around the corner.

This is getting more than a little frustrating for Northants, who must have fancied their chances after getting Derbyshire seven down at tea.

  4. Postpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 112-2 v Kent (target 189)

Four more runs to Andy Umeed off Marcus O'Riordan, reverse sweeping the spinner past first slip.

That takes the third wicket partnership with Matt Renshaw to 50 in 83 balls.

    77 required.

  5. wicket

WICKET: Stoneman c Cooke b Gorvin 63published at 16:54 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 158-6 (target 213)

That's a huge wicket - and what a bowling change by Glamorgan!

Andy Gorvin has just come on to replace James Harris and his first ball finds the edge of Mark Stoneman, who is caught behind.

Four wickets to capture - or 55 runs to be scored?

  6. Postpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 216-7 v Northants (target 371)

Too full and leg side from Liam Patterson-White and Zak Chappell clips the ball square on the front foot for four.

    He's on 46 from 51 balls.

Rob Keogh is back on at the other end.

His second delivery is squeezed through backward point by Anuj Dal for two.

Just the two from the over.

  7. Postpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 158-5 (target 213)

There's a rare boundary as Mark Stoneman steers James Harris behind square and bisects the fielders to collect four runs and move up to 63.

Jack Davies, meanwhile, plays out a maiden from Mason Crane - who is still getting the odd ball to turn viciously and remains Glamorgan's best hope of closing out a win here.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Matt Renshawpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 108-2 v Kent (target 189)

Grant Stewart bowls to Matt Renshaw and drops short.

Renshaw pulls square for his fourth four and that takes him to 50 in 76 balls.

That's his third 50 for Somerset this season.

He's anchored this run chase and Somerset will reach this target comfortably with him at the crease.

  9. wicket

WICKET Ahmed st Bracey b Price 55published at 16:49 British Summer Time 20 May

    Leics 277-5 f/o (trail by 58) v Gloucs

Game back on at Grace Road.

Rehan Ahmed tries to drive Gloucestershire spinner Oliver Price but overbalances and drags his foot out the crease.

James Bracey whips off the bails. Five more wickets needed, 25 overs remain.

  10. 50 for Rehan Ahmedpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 20 May

    Leics 273-4 f/o (trail by 62 runs) v Gloucs

Likes playing his shots does Rehan Ahmed!

The England all-rounder goes to fifty off just 52 balls with his eighth four. The 19-year-old has also hit a six.

    Gloucestershire need wickets, and quickly.

  11. Postpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 209-7 v Northants (target 371)

Luke Procter brings himself on to bowl and ends the over with a leg side bouncer that Zak Chappell leaves alone.

Anuj Dal is forward to Liam Patterson-White and hit on the pad but it's not out.

The last ball is wide of leg stump and clipped behind square for four.

This eighth wicket pair have put on 60 in 15 overs.

  12. 150 up for Middlesexpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 152-5 (target 213)

Jack Davies attempts the reverse sweep against Mason Crane and produces something rather agricultural in its appearance, but gets away with it as the ball drops straight down to the turf.

Next time Davies opts to get the bat out of the way altogether and the ball loops off his pad into the short-leg fielder's waiting hands.

You can feel the tension in the air as we inch towards the finish. A minimum of 27 overs remain.

  13. Postpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 100-2 v Kent (target 189)

Four runs to Matt Renshaw with a lovely pick up scoop outside off stump through mid wicket off the bowling of Grant Stewart.

    He made that look easy.

Andy Umeed gets a single off Marcus O'Riordan at the other end and Renshaw brings up the Somerset 100 with a cut to point for two.

  14. Postpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 200-7 v Northants (target 371)

Another fine shot from Zak Chappell, who waits in the crease and smashes Ben Sanderson through mid wicket for four.

The partnership for the eighth wicket passes 50 in the next over as Chappell is forward to Rob Keogh to turn the ball square for one.

    That's also the Derbyshire 200.

  15. Postpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 148-5 (target 213)

Although Middlesex aren't scoring many runs at the moment, you'd still feel a draw is highly unlikely with another 29 overs available and 65 needed.

It's really just a case of whether they can fend off Mason Crane, who is exploiting the rough outside the left-hander's off stump to good effect and foxed Mark Stoneman with a textbook googly in his last over.

Stoneman has 55, with Jack Davies on two at the other end.

  16. 'An air of resignation about Kent'published at 16:36 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 91-2 v Kent (target 189)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Kent are not going about their work very briskly at the moment.

There's an air of resignation about their cricket.

It's not exciting cricket but it's efficient and effective.

  17. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 96-2 v Kent (target 189)

Somerset get the target down to double figures as Matt Renshaw is forward to the off spin of Marcus O'Riordan to work the ball into the on side for one.

One more to Andy Umeed turned into the on side.

The last ball is short and cut hard to deep point for two.

Solid rather than spectacular for Somerset.

  18. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 194-7 v Northants (target 371)

Zak Chappell is happy to attack both seam and spin here, twice driving Ben Sanderson down the ground for four and in the blink of an eye Derbyshire are halfway through the target. But it's all about survival now.

Rob Keogh will continue at the other end.

Anuj Dal clips the third ball wide of short leg for one.

Keogh flights the ball up to Zak Chappell, who leaves outside off, then clips a quicker ball to mid wicket for one.

  19. Postpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 146-5 (target 213)

As is his tendency, Mason Crane is serving up the odd stray delivery, but he's getting away with those for now as Glamorgan display renewed sharpness in the field.

Just two runs off Crane's latest over, which enable Jack Davies to get off the mark. Those 67 runs Middlesex need still feel quite a way off.

  20. Postpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 85-2 v Kent (target 189)

Andy Umeed is forward to spinner Marcus O'Riordan, driving into the off side for one.

He nearly offers a return catch to O'Riordan but the ball evades his outstretched hand.

Four singles off the over though and Somerset look in a good place to chase the target down.

    104 needed in 32 overs.
