  1. Ahmed's batting skills on showpublished at 16:26 20 May

    Leics 247-4 f/o (trail by 88) v Gloucs

England's Rehan Ahmed came in at six for Leicestershire and has moved onto 31 off 41 balls. Peter Handscomb has 58.

31 overs for the Foxes to survive. Still only the one wicket since lunch for Gloucestershire, who made 706-6 in their first innings don't forget.

  2. 'A sense of relief for Lancs'published at 16:25 20 May

Result: Lancashire beat Durham by 60 runs

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

A sense of relief from Lancashire, they've got their season up and running with their first win of the season.

It's been a very, very good game of cricket and that was bubbling up beautifully during the course of the day.

What an impact George Balderson made during the back end of the afternoon session. That spell with the new ball was what's really changed the whole feel of it today.

It's ebbed and flowed really nicely, when we got here this morning it was difficult to work out which way it was going to go.

  3. Postpublished at 16:24 20 May

    Derbys 183-7 v Northants (target 371)

A near run out as Anuj Dal turns a ball from Liam Patterson-White and sends Zak Chappell back to the non striker's end.

Close but he might have made it even with a direct hit.

Rob Keogh is into his 10th over and there's turn here but the length is too short to threaten.

Zak Chappell gets away with a loose drive which only just clears mid on and runs away for four.

Four more clipped through mid wicket on the front foot.

Zak Chappell goes big again and smashes the last ball high and safely over square leg on the front foot for four. 12 off the over.

Ben Sanderson is coming back on.

  4. 'Durham were always up against it'published at 16:23 20 May

Result: Lancashire beat Durham by 60 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham were always up against it chasing 475 but they gave it a good go this morning. Sadly things went wrong this afternoon.

Ollie Robinson, with a career-best 171* and David Bedingham with 103, gave them hope as they put together a fourth-wicket partnership of 215.

Bedingham was the second player in the game to score centuries in both innings following Lancashire's Keaton Jennings. But his departure was also the start of the end for the visitors.

They still needed 163 when he was out and got to within 61 runs of their target when Robinson ran out of partners. George Balderson helped steer the game back towards the home team with a cracking spell of 4-52 in 13 overs.

  5. 'It's served up a real treat here in Blackpool'published at 16:22 20 May

Result: Lancashire beat Durham by 60 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Fittingly it was Keaton Jennings who took the catch at first slip and got a big hug.

He's been the mainstay of this Lancashire win with centuries in the first innings and the second innings.

Durham suffer their first defeat of the season and Lancashire enjoy their first win of the season.

We've had everything, it's served up a real treat here in Blackpool.

  6. Postpublished at 16:19 20 May

    Somerset 77-2 v Kent (target 189)

Steady progress for Somerset's Andy Umeed and Matt Renshaw, who get forward and across to Macus O'Riordan to work the ball away for three singles between them.

Beyers Swanepoel drops short at the other end and Andy Umeed is down the track to clout the ball through mid wicket for four.

    112 needed.

  7. WICKET: Fernandes c Ingram b Crane 15published at 16:17 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 144-5 (target 213)

Third wicket for Mason Crane and Glamorgan are still very much in this game!

Nathan Fernandes gets an inside edge onto the pad and the balls sails up behind the wicketkeeper for Colin Ingram to dart across from slip and pluck it out of the air.

Middlesex are still 69 short of victory as Jack Davies comes to the middle.

  8. Postpublished at 16:17 20 May

    Derbys 171-7 v Northants (target 371)

A big appeal by Rob Keogh for a stumping against Zak Chappell is turned down and Chappell drills the next ball through a vacant mid off for four.

Four more pummelled through the on side via a paddle sweep.

A leg side ball goes fine off the pad for two leg byes.

  9. 50 for Mark Stonemanpublished at 16:16 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 144-4 (target 213)

Another off-side boundary for Mark Stoneman, this time off Jamie McIlroy, takes the Middlesex opener to his half-century.

Stoneman's certainly enjoyed batting against Glamorgan this season - he hit 97 against them at Lord's, then 129 in the first innings of this match.

  10. Postpublished at 16:14 20 May

    Derbys 161-7 v Northants (target 371)

Rob Keogh tries to fox Zak Chappell with a quicker ball, which is squirted to backward point for no run.

Liam Patterson-White is round the wicket to Anuj Dal, who pushes the ball defensively into the off side.

LPW switches to over the wicket and Dal clips through the on side for two runs.

  11. Postpublished at 16:13 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 135-4 (target 213)

Mark Stoneman collects his first runs since tea, driving Mason Crane through the covers for a couple and then repeating the stroke, but this time the ball beats the fielder's dive at the rope.

Stoneman has 49 and, with his experience, the former England opener looks likely to hold the key in determining where this game goes.

  12. Postpublished at 16:11 20 May

    Somerset 69-2 v Kent (target 189)

Andy Umeed drives Beyers Swanepoel down the ground but hasn't timed it and there's no run.

    Maiden over.

  13. Postpublished at 16:09 20 May

    Derbys 157-7 v Northants (target 371)

Derbyshire pass 150 in the 43rd over as Anuj Dal is forward to left arm spinner Liam Patterson-White driving to mid on for one.

Rob Keogh tosses a delivery up at the other end and Dal drives to long off for four.

Three more singles off the over.

  14. Postpublished at 16:06 20 May

    Somerset 63-2 v Kent (target 189)

Andy Umeed sees out the remainder of the Marcus O'Riordan over and Matt Renshaw is forward and across to Beyers Swanepoel to glance the ball to leg for one.

He'll keep the strike to face O'Riordan.

  15. Final session under way at Cardiffpublished at 16:04 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 127-4 (target 213)

Unsurprisingly, it's Mason Crane who delivers the first over of the final session - the leg-spinner was getting the ball to do plenty just before tea and picked up the key wickets of Max Holden and Ryan Higgins.

However, Nathan Fernandes takes seven off the over, including an edge through the slips to the boundary and Middlesex have reduced the target to 86.

  16. Play resumes at Derbypublished at 16:02 20 May

    Derbys 149-7 v Northants (target 371)

This has been a collapse of epic proportions from the hosts who were sitting pretty with Luis Reece and Brooke Guest going well on 74-1.

But the Northants spinners have taken five wickets for 22 runs to exinguish any hope Derbyshire may have had to chase down this target.

But can Northants win it? 39 overs left.

Anuj Dal will face Liam Patterson-White on one not out.

The new batter is Zak Chappell after Ross Whiteley fell to the last ball of the afternoon session of play.

  17. Play resumes at Tauntonpublished at 16:01 20 May

    Somerset 60-2 v Kent (target 189)

Matt Renshaw returns to the middle on 24 not out with new batter Andy Umeed.

Marcus O'Riordan struck in mid-over before the break and will bowl to Umeed with two deliveries of that over remaining.

    Lancashire 357 & 353-9 dec v Durham 236 & 414

George Balderson (Lancs)Image source, Getty Images

George Balderson clinches victory as last man Callum Parkinson edges to Keaton Jennings at first slip - and Lancashire are up and running for the season!

What a game it's been and Balderson finishes with 4-52 - but you have to feel for Ollie Robinson, who's left undefeated on a career-best 171.

  19. 'Somerset are still warm favourites'published at 15:48 20 May

    Somerset 60-2 v Kent (target 189)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Well Tom Lammonby has been batting fluently but a little bit too fluently on that occasion.

Gave himself a bit of room looking to to hit Marcus O'Riordan back over the top of deep mid-off but the tall figure of Zak Crawley intervened and took a comfortable catch.

So Somerset are still warm favourites but they rather gifted that wicket of Tom Lammonby to Kent.

  20. Postpublished at 15:47 20 May

    Lancashire v Durham 410-9 (target 475)

It looks as though Ollie Robinson has decided to gamble, go for some shots and see how close he can get Durham to the target.

Robinson hammers Will Williams for six and four in successive deliveries and he's now equalled his career-best score of 167.

For now, Callum Parkinson is holding up the other end and that's what Robinson needs him to do while he concentrates on keeping the scoreboard ticking over.
