  1. 300 up for Durhampublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 20 May

    Lancashire v Durham 301-3 (target 475)

Durham's progress continues unchecked after lunch and the total has just passed 300 with a ball from Nathan Lyon that turned, missed everything and rolled away for four byes.

That comes just after the 200 partnership was reached between David Bedingham and Ollie Robinson and Durham are edging ever closer, with another 174 needed to take the win.

  2. Postpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 506-8 - lead by 130

An LBW shout against Grant Stewart off Migael Pretorius is turned down.

Too leg side. Three runs off that over.

Stewart gets a single off the last ball and leaves Josh Davey outside off stump at the other end.

Single to Stewart off the second ball and the field is set deep on the leg side for Joe Denly.

A play and a miss off the last ball of the over as Denly advances forward and Grant Stewart will be on strike.

Still 66 overs left in theory and Kent need a few more runs to make this game safe.

  3. Postpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 53-1 v Northants (target 371)

Three slips in for Ben Sanderson, who thought they were in business at the end of the first over of the session as Luis Reece plays and misses at a wider ball outside off.

No contact though and Michael Finan will bowl at the other end.

  4. Play resumes at Derbypublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 20 May

    Derbys 52-1 v Northants (target 371)

You would fancy a draw or a Northants win here.

319 is a lot to get in two sessions and a bit of help from some loose bowling might be required.

Brooke Guest is 23 not out and will face Ben Sanderson first up.

Luis Reece is 12 not out at the other end.

  5. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 500-8 - lead by 124

Grant Stewart gets a single second ball of the session and Joe Denly sees out the over.

Josh Davey is bowling at the other end and Grant Stewart strokes the second ball through wide mid off for four.

He gets a single next ball driving off the back foot through point and that's the Kent 500 in the 114th over.

  6. Back under way at Blackpoolpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 20 May

    Lancashire v Durham 288-3 (target 475)

Luke Wells delivers the first over of the afternoon session and David Bedingham cuts him for three to move into the 90s.

It'd be harsh to term it the 'nervous 90s' in the case of Bedingham, who already has one century in this match and is looking to follow Ollie Robinson to three figures again.

  7. Afternoon session begins at Tauntonpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 494-8 - lead by 118

This game looked nailed on for a draw for much of day three and part of today, but Kent have lost their last five wickets for 94 runs and are far from safety with two sessions of play left in the match.

Joe Denly (39 not out) is the last of the specialist batters and is the key wicket for both sides.

But he is at the non-striker's end and has to hope new batter Grant Stewart can survive the rest of this over from Migael Pretorius (3-87, who struck just before the break with the wicket of Beyers Swanepoel.

Three deliveries left in the over.

  8. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 5-0 (target 213)

Interestingly, Glamorgan have opened with the off-breaks of Kiran Carlson at the other end and the spinner concedes a single apiece from his first over.

You'd think we can expect to see leg-spinner Mason Crane feature heavily in this chase as well, if there's a bit of turn on offer.

  9. 'This is a huge win for Essex'published at 13:35 British Summer Time 20 May

Result: Essex beat Warwickshire by four wickets

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

Speaking at the close of day three, Essex captain Tom Westley said his side had to find a way to turn a game around when they were backed into a corner.

There can’t be many sides who concede a 235-run first-innings deficit who manage to turn it into what in the end looks a relatively comfortable four-wicket victory.

Matt Critchley was denied a second century of the season but it was all about his fifth wicket partnership of 176 with Jordan Cox which got them to within striking distance.

Warwickshire will be very disappointed to have handed the advantage back to Essex with a poor second innings effort as Critchley and Simon Harmer bowled the home side back into the game.

This is a huge win for Essex as it keeps the leaders Surrey within sight while Warwickshire may start looking over their shoulders at the other end of the table.

  10. Middlesex begin run chase at Cardiffpublished at 13:31 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan v Middlesex 0-0 (target 213)

Middlesex's openers, the experienced former Test duo Sam Robson and Mark Stoneman, are in the middle to launch the visitors' pursuit of 213 for victory.

Left-arm seamer Jamie McIlroy is poised with ball in hand for Glamorgan.

  11. 'Hampshire will be mightily relieved'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 20 May

Result: Hants beat Notts by five wickets

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Nobody else was needed, Fletcha Middleton and James Fuller saw Hampshire through this morning without losing a wicket.

    Hampshire will be mightily relieved.

For Nottinghamshire, they couldn't quite make it back-to-back victories but what a game it's been.

  12. 'Hard to see anything other than Somerset win'published at 13:28 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 494-8 f/o - lunch, day four

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Somerset have taken three big strides towards their second County Championship win of the season, by picking up the wickets of Harry Finch, Joey Evison and, on the stroke of lunch, Beyers Swanepoel in the morning session.

Josh Davey, having recovered from a nasty sickness bug, bowled beautifully to take the first two wickets, with the increasingly impressive, Migael Pretorius, picking up the third, courtesy of a sharp Craig Overton catch.

Joe Denly is still there on 39, but with only the bowlers to come and Kent just 118 to the good, it's hard to see any outcome other than a Somerset win.

  13. 'Excellent morning for Durham'published at 13:27 British Summer Time 20 May

Durham 284-3 need another 191 to beat Lancs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

I said in commentary this morning, David Bedingham and Ollie Robinson needed to put a big partnership together to keep Durham in this game. And they have.

They could have actually done without lunch because the pair have added 150 runs today and 40 minutes in the dressing room might be a rude interruption to progress.

Robinson won the race to 100. He got there in 132 balls, hitting 11 fours and three sixes. Bedingham will resume on 89. Their partnership is now worth 187.

If Bedingham can reach three figures it will be the sixth time a Durham batter has managed two centuries in the same game. It would also be the second time in this match following Keaton Jennings' back-to-back hundreds for the hosts.

Durham are chasing 475, which seems improbable. They haven't pulled off a chase like that before and there's still a long way to go. But we are in for a very interesting afternoon in the Blackpool sun.

  14. Middlesex need 213 in two sessionspublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan 183 & 372 v Middlesex 343 - lunch, day four

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Sophia Gardens

Middlesex will need 213 in 69 overs to defeat Glamorgan on the final day in Cardiff after bowling out their hosts for 372.

Glamorgan started the final day on 294-7, a second-innings lead of 134.

Zain ul Hassan and Mason Crane shared an eighth-wicket partnership of 61 as they negotiated an accurate Middlesex seam attack, with captain Toby Roland-Jones and Ethan Bamber bowling 42 consecutive dot balls at one point.

Ul-Hassan eventually fell for 34 from 91 balls when he lobbed up a Bamber ball to Ryan Higgins at short mid-wicket.

Middlesex spinner Luke Hollman wrapped up the innings after Helm caught Andy Gorvin at point before Crane was dismissed lbw for an impressive 48.

Hollman and Helm both finished with three wickets.

  16. Lunch at Blackpoolpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 20 May

    Lancashire v Durham 284-3 (target 475)

It's been a superb morning for Durham, who are now within 200 of an unlikely win thanks to this unbroken partnership between David Bedingham and Ollie Robinson.

Robinson completed his hundred in the final over before lunch and he has 103, while Bedingham is 11 short of his second century of the match.

The pair have added 187 so far - with Lancashire still needing seven wickets for their first win of the season.

  17. wicket

WICKET Swanepoel c C Overton b Pretorius - lunchpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 494-8 - lead by 118

A change of bowling from the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion End.

    Migael Pretorius is back on.

Beyers Swanepoel tries to work the ball to leg and gets a leading edge but the ball lands safely in the off side.

    Got him this time!

Stuck on the crease with a loose waft away from the body, edging the ball low to Craig Overton at second slip!

That wicket ends the session of play and Kent will lunch nervously on a slender lead with just two wickets standing.

  18. 100 for Ollie Robinsonpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 20 May

    Lancashire v Durham 280-3 (target 475)

Ollie Robinson (Durham)Image source, Rex Features

On the brink of the lunch interval, Ollie Robinson sweeps Nathan Lyon to the fence to bring up his eighth first-class century and his first of the season.

Robinson gets there from 132 balls and he and David Bedingham have batted almost right through the morning session to boost Durham's hopes.

  19. Postpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 20 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 493-7 - lead by 118

We should get at least a couple more overs in before lunch.

Joe Denly works a single to mid wicket off Jack Leach and the silly point comes back in for Beyers Swanepoel.

Swanepoel is beaten by one going forward, then defends on the back foot.

He pushes the last ball, a tad wider, through cover for one and will have the strike.

  20. MIDDLESEX NEED 213 TO BEAT GLAMORGANpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 20 May

    Glamorgan 183 & 372 v Middlesex 343

Glamorgan's resistance with the bat is finally at an end, with Mason Crane falling just two short of his half-century as Luke Hollman finishes with 3-57 and Tom Helm 3-17.

The home side have extended their lead to 212 and Middlesex will have 69 overs in which to chase that target.
