Looking over to my left there's flags, they're lying limp. It's not the sort of day where you know where the weather is coming from. All around there is blue sky, but above the ground is a big grey cloud. It could be one of those days where you're incredibly unlucky.

I shouldn't worry you by showing you the weather situation behind one stand. I don't think that's coming our way but the wind doesn't seem to know what to do.

    The Rec

I got another tick on my cricketing bucket list earlier this week when England trained at the Old Rec in St John's.

It's the famous old ground where Viv Richards hit his 56-ball Test century and, more recently, Brian Lara made his two world record Test scores against England.

It is no longer used for cricket and has fallen into a state of disrepair. It's still a special place.

There was a film called The Water Diviner with Russell Crowe, wasn't there?

He's been unlucky with his sequels, has Russ. No second digs for Master and Commander or The Nice Guys, both excellent films with obvious follow-up potential.

But has he considered a film sequel in which he brings water to various international grounds through the medium of live text commentary?

    Someone call his agent.

The rain is coming from my left as I sit in the media centre. It is already brighter than it was a few minutes ago.

    Lighter rain is still falling.

We're currently watching a few sorry England fans who've ducked under a gazebo to avoid the pelting rain.

I swear I've not commentated on a single over of cricket in this tournament, it's just been endless rain.

I'm like a water diviner, except instead of finding water in the ground wherever I place my stick, it's that wherever I live text there is rain.

  12. Toss delayedpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 15 June

Yep, as expected, we've got a delayed toss.

No word of when it's been delayed to.

But I can it's suddenly started bucketing it down in Antigua, so I doubt it'll be all that soon.

  13. Scotland 'quietly confident' of upsetting Australiapublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 15 June

Scotland are "quietly confident" of upsetting Australia to secure their progression at the T20 World Cup, says all-rounder Michael Leask.

They have never played Australia in T20s and have lost all five previous meetings in one-day internationals.

"Australia are one of the best in the world," Leask said.

"It is going to be a tough game, but why can't we go and do what we've done before and cause an upset?"

Of course, England will be hoping otherwise.

Getting England out is in Australia's best interest - Hazlewood

Pat Cummins has insisted that Australia never considered manipulating the result of their forthcoming T20 World Cup match against Scotland to knock out England.

Prior to their emphatic win over Oman on Thursday, England appeared to be struggling to qualify for the Super 8s.

That was largely down to having a vastly inferior net run-rate to Scotland and seamer Josh Hazlewood suggested Australia might try to make it as difficult as possible for England to progress.

However, Cummins says that Hazlewood's remarks were made in jest.

"I think when you go out and play you are trying your best every time and if you are not, that's probably against the spirit of cricket," said Cummins.

"I was speaking to Joshy, who had a bit of a joke about it the other day, and think it got taken a little bit out of context."

New Zealand earned their first win of the competition with a nine-wicket demolition of Uganda in Trinidad.

Tim Southee took 3-4 as the already-eliminated Black Caps skittled Uganda for 40 before knocking off the runs in 5.2 overs.

New Zealand were on top from the first over as Trent Boult took two wickets in two balls and Uganda soon slumped to 15-5 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

Kenneth Waiswa made 11 and was the only Uganda batter to reach double figures, while no Kiwi bowler conceded more than nine.

Devon Conway then made an unbeaten 22 from 15 balls as New Zealand completed the win in barely a quarter of their allotted overs.

  16. South Africa survive Nepal scarepublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 15 June

South Africa players celebrate run out to beat Nepal at T20 World CupImage source, Getty Images

South Africa needed a dramatic late turnaround to beat Nepal by one run in a nail-biting T20 World Cup encounter overnight.

Needing two to win from the last ball, or one to force a super over, Nepal's Gulsan Jha was run out trying to run a single to the wicketkeeper.

After restricting South Africa to 115-7 in Kingstown, Nepal were well on their way to a victory that would have kept their Super 8s hopes alive.

However, Tabraiz Shamsi (4-19) struck twice in a game-changing 18th over and Ottneil Baartman defended seven runs in the last as the Proteas maintained their 100% record in the tournament to eliminate a heartbroken Nepal.

The good news for England (less so for Scotland fans ready this) is there is 90 minutes available before we even start losing overs.

We can also reduce the match to five overs per side.

  19. Postpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 15 June

The match is scheduled to start at 18:00 BST.

We haven't had any word of a delayed toss, but with the covers on it seems unlikely we'll start on time.

    We'll keep you posted.

There have been sharp showers all morning in Antigua. We've had a couple at the ground since I got here 90 minutes ago.

At the moment the covers are on, although it's not raining.

It feels like the groundstaff are expecting something.
