You can read all about it in our chief cricket reporter Stephan Shemilt's match report.

It has been a stop-start day in Brisbane as Australia continued to dominate India in the third Test, you can listen to commentary here.

We will be back at 21:30 GMT on Monday evening for coverage of what is likely to be the final day's play of this Test and England's year.

    Goodbye.

To complete a miserable day for England captain Ben Stokes suffered a recurrence of a left hamstring injury.

The captain was in visible distress as he left the field clutching the same left hamstring he injured in August, subsequently missing four Tests.

Stokes was hurt bowling his third over of the third day, midway through the afternoon session. He pulled up in the follow-through of his second delivery and went straight to the dressing room.

He did not return for the rest of New Zealand's innings and a decision will be made on if he is fit to bat in England’s second innings.

England only know to play one way. It can be entertaining and works at times, can be embarrassing at other times. The beauty of Test cricket means at times you have to adapt, England don’t have the mindset or capability to be able to do that. If they want to be the best, they have to play more than one way. This is an embarrassing and very naive performance.

New Zealand seamer Tim Southee: "It was a strange feeling, never felt so much pressure going out to bat. It was good fun, and a great couple of days for the lads.

"It's nice, any time you take a wicket for New Zealand. It's a special time every time you take a wicket, it's a feeling I'll miss.

"It's been such a honour, it's going to be an emotional couple of days."

Matt Henry has dismissed Zak Crawley six times in this series. A bowler dismissing a batter six or more times in a series has occurred on 53 occasions in Test cricket history.

The last time this happened was in 2019, between Stuart Broad and David Warner, with Broad dismissing Warner seven times.

    In the 53 instances:

    • Six wickets - 47 times
    • Seven wickets - six times

Kane Williamson leads the New Zealand team off after his sparkling 33rd Test century earlier in the day - and fifth in a row at Seddon Park.

The Black Caps were utterly dominant, grinding England into the dust with the bat before taking two wickets before the close.

The series might be gone but they are set to end it on a high.

Will O'Rourke bowls an absolute peach of a delivery that is too good for Jacob Bethell but somehow avoids his outside edge.

Bethell responds by blocking out a couple of deliveries off the back foot to see England to the close.

New Zealand will need eight wickets to secure the win on day four. The way these New Zealand seamers are bowling, they will not take too long to do so.

    Crawley lbw b Henry 5 (Eng 18-2)

Nope. There is a long wait for ball tracking to come through and eventually it shows the ball is just clipping leg stump for umpire's call.

Zak Crawley is furious as he walks off. Matt Henry has now taken his wicket in six out of six innings this series.

    Here we go again.

Matt Henry is celebrating the lbw even before the finger even goes up.

Zak Crawley reviews. Will he get another reprieve?

  12. Eng 17-1published at 4 overs

There's plenty of chirping going on from the New Zealand slip cordon, as you would expect.

There is a flurry of excitement as Zak Crawley very nearly chops on. The next ball he goes for a wild drive that somehow evades the edge.

Crawley doesn't look totally comfortable out there.

I cannot begin to understand how some of these English batters think it’s ok to play a shot like that! I would have given everything to be able to represent my country in a game I adore. Do they know how lucky they are?

Relief for Zak Crawley as he gets off strike with a drive that is only partly cut off at mid-off.

Jacob Bethell then helps himself to back-to-back boundaries with two perfectly timed drives down the ground.

Ben Duckett charged Tim Southee and smashed the ball straight past him for four. Two balls later Duckett backs away to go for a big heave, but can only chop on to his stumps.

Elation for Tim Southee, who will be desperate to go out in style.
