It's always easy on reflection, but I think where things fell apart from a Trent Rockets point of view was after Bryony Smith's dismissal. It was the other throwaway dismissals as well.

Sometimes you have to play the smart game. Nat Sciver-Brunt is arguably one of the best players in the world, there is no better ally to be in the crease with, but when you lose wickets in clusters it can really hurt you.

Trent Rockets will see this as a massive opportunity lost.

  2. Phoenix win by 11 runspublished at 17:36 British Summer Time

    Rockets 131-6

The wicket of Nat Sciver-Brunt ended the game as a contest, really, and Birmingham Phoenix see it out comfortably.

It is delayed ever so slightly by no-ball for height from Em Arlott but that only delays the inevitable.

A strong start to the competition for Phoenix as they see of the Rockets by 11 runs.

My mouth is still on the floor! That is unbelievable from Millie Taylor.

She is a young player that has just been called-up as a replacement player as well. She has bowled incredibly well today but to take that catch, in a high-pressure situation, is unbelievable.

She was just laying on the floor thinking: 'Oh my lord, I've caught that!'

    Sciver-Brunt c Taylor b Arlott 64 (Rockets 129-6)

    What a catch!

Nat Sciver-Brunt moves across her stumps and looks to smash the ball past short fine leg.

It goes low and fast but Millie Taylor dives to her right to take a brilliant grab.

The wicket goes to Em Arlott for that's all about Taylor.

  5. Rockets 129-5published at 5 balls left

    Need another 20 to win

Rockets need 20 from the last five balls. Massive ask.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is on strike. Em Arlott will bowl for Phoenix.

Emma Jones has got to try and find the fence to give Nat Sciver-Brunt some help here.

Is there a case in point now for Nat Sciver-Brunt to stick that big hand up and tell Emma Jones to take her gloves off so she can take over?

If anyone's going to do it, it is Sciver-Brunt.

  7. Rockets 127-5published at 7 balls left

    Need another 22 to win

Two more for Nat Sciver-Brunt but twos are not enough for the Rockets.

  8. Rockets 125-5published at 8 balls left

    Need another 24 to win

Emma Jones does what she had to do and pushes a single.

Nat Sciver-Brunt back on strike. She sweeps for two, 24 off 8 required.

  9. Rockets 122-5published at 10 balls left

    Need another 27 to win

    Four more!

Nat Sciver-Brunt whips a low full toss away through the leg side off Megan Schutt.

Phoenix still favourites but where there's Nat, there's hope for the Rockets.

Emma Lamb must surely be in the running to open for England white ball team.

  11. Rockets 118-5published at 11 balls left

    Need another 31 to win

Trent Rockets need every run they can get so an edge down to deep third for four will do just nicely.

They'll take that from Emma Jones, who then pushes a single to get Nat Sciver-Brunt back on strike.

  12. Not outpublished at 14 balls left

    Rockets 112-5

    Not out.

Impact outside the line and Nat Sciver-Brunt survives. It is a dot ball, though.

    37 from 14 balls needed.

  13. Phoenix reviewpublished at 14 balls left

Has Megan Schutt got the big wicket.

Yorker from the Australia seamer and it hits Nat Sciver-Brunt on the foot as she goes across her stumps.

Given not out but this looks close... Outside the line?

WinViz still isn't giving Rockets much hope despite Nat Sciver-Brunt hitting her stride.

50 for Nat Sciver-Bruntpublished at 15 balls left

    Rockets 112-5

Nat Sciver-Brunt is not giving this up yet!

Having smashed Em Arlott over extra cover for four first up, she clobbered a flat six over the leg side to bring up her fifty from 32 balls.

Four more to end the set, over mid-off this time and Rockets are still just about in with a shout. They need 37 from 15 balls to win.

    NSB is on strike...

I think Birmingham Phoenix are happy to just let these overs tick over now, as long as the boundaries don't come. Keeping Nat Sciver-Brunt off strike is key for them.

They have been absolutely brilliant. They have just squeezed and squeezed and got those key wickets in quite a condensed flurry.

    Wraith c Lamb b Taylor 9 (Rockets 96-5)

Birmingham Phoenix are closing in now.

Boundaries needed, Natasha Wraith tries to find one but picks out Emma Lamb at deep mid-wicket.

A first wicket of the day for Millie Taylor.

This is going to be a big ask for Trent Rockets.

We were raving about their line-up at the start of this match as well but, when you lose that flurry of wickets, it is so hard to get going again.

  19. Rockets 91-4published at 25 balls left

    Need another 58 to win

Pace off is doing the trick for the Phoenix seamers.

Megan Schutt backs up Ellyse Perry with another very good five, only four from it as they force Nat Sciver-Brunt and Natasha Wraith to generate all the power on the ball.

Birmingham Phoenix are strong favourites on WinViz.

It's starting to look like this chase may be beyond even Nat Sciver-Brunt.
