    Smith c Lister b Arlott 29 (Rockets 38-2)

Bryony Smith is gone - big wicket for Phoenix.

The Rockets opener tries to hit Em Arlott into the stands over deep mid-wicket, targeting the short boundary, but doesn't get all of it.

Ailsa Lister is out there waiting and comes in a good 10-15 yards off the rope to pouch the catch.

  2. Rockets 36-1published at 75 balls left

    Target 149

Powerplay over and despite that wicket, it's been a good one for Trent Rockets - mainly thanks to Bryony Smith.

That was much needed from a Birmingham Phoenix point of view. They were getting put to the sword a little bit and it was there to hit for Grace Scrivens.

She could've put it through the covers but she just lifted it slightly and it was a fantastic catch.

That's the first wicket down - and it might have just opened a door for Birmingham Phoenix to get back into this contest.

    Scrivens c Lister b Perry 2 (Rockets 35-1)

    Breakthrough for Birmingham Phoenix.

It was there to be hit from Ellyse Perry and Grace Scrivens, knowing she needed to get going, went after it.

Hit powerfully but in the air and well held by Ailsa Lister in the covers.

  5. Rockets 34-0published at 80 balls left

    Target 149

Megan Schutt is back for another five and gets away with a no-ball as the free hit is only hit for a single by Bryony Smith.

The right-hander is off to a flyer, though, and clubs a length ball over mid-on - one bounce for four.

Smith is up to 27 from 14 balls, meaning Grace Scrivens have been able to play herself in. She's on two from seven balls.

Absolutely effortless from Bryony Smith. I wouldn't be surprised if she knocks that shot out again.

She is an incredibly powerful striker of the ball - and so is Grace Scrivens. I think the left-right hand combination of the two of them here is going to be really effective for the Trent Rockets.

It is great to see two young English batters opening.

  7. Rockets 24-0published at 85 balls left

    Target 149

A third set in a row starts with a Bryony Smith boundary.

This one is cut up and over backward point and the Rockets opener follows it up by skipping down the track and thumping Georgia Voll down the ground for four more.

  8. Rockets 13-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 149

Swing for Ellyse Perry but a bit too much and she struggles to control it, leading to a couple of wides.

With the edge for four and another single, it's seven from the set in total.

  9. Rockets 10-0published at 94 balls left

    Target 149

Ellyse Perry continues the Aussie theme as she takes over from Megan Schutt for the next five.

Good ball to start from the all-rounder but without the luck to go with it. Outside edge from Bryony Smith but the ball goes just wide of the wicketkeeper and away for four.

This hasn't been a great start for Birmingham Phoenix.

Megan Schutt is booming in with the pace she has got, hitting a hard length, but Bryony Smith is one of those players who can read lengths so quickly. She is doing well here.

    Run out chance!

Complete breakdown in communication as Grace Scrivens drives to mid-off.

Bryony Smith set off for a single that was never on, gets sent back but she would've been out by a mile had Em Arlott's throw hit the stumps.

Nat Sciver-Brunt's focus will be on this competition. She will be trying to put in the performances we have become accustomed to with her.

I think she is going to be key to Trent Rockets' campaign, as she always seems to be in every team that she plays in.

    Thanks, Mike.

A superb half-century for Emma Lamb set the foundations for a strong Phoenix innings, despite a bit of a wobble, and they can be satisfied with putting 148 on the board.

It's certainly not unsurmountable for Trent Rockets, though, with the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Ash Gardner in their ranks.

A decent final partnership of 37 between Ailsa Lister and Marie Kelly after the Phoenix middle-order wobbled.

They finish not out on 21 from 17 and 23 from 10 respectively.

Meanwhile Ash Gardner ends up with figures of 1-32.

Right, here's Sam Drury to see if Trent Rockets can chase their target.

Struck into the leg side... batters coming back for two... safe!

The throw comes in on the bounce to Ash Gardner and she can't control it and bring it down on the stumps.

    Rockets will chase 149.
