Heather Graham and Ailsa Lister do battle in the penultimate set of five balls.

The batter smashes the bowler over her head for four from the second delivery, but otherwise fails to score.

And Gardner will continue to bowl the final five balls too...

  3. Phoenix 132-5published at 90 balls

Marie Kelly strikes Heather Graham out through cover point, where there's a misfield.

The mishap does slow the ball down, and Alexa Stonehouse puts in some impressive running to recover it before it reaches the boundary - diving over and tapping back.

    The batters run three.

That's the shot of the day for me! Beautiful.

Marie Kelly moved her feet and got down to the pitch of the ball. It was the way she directed the ball for me, just keeping the hands going through the line. There wasn't a huge flourish and that just shows the value of timing again.

Extra cover had no chance. They didn't even think about diving - that's when you know you've hit the ball well.

I like what Alana King does with the ball. She mixed her pace and gave the ball a chance to turn. It looks a pretty dry wicket out there, not many balls have turned.

  5. Phoenix 126-5published at 85 balls

    Lovely shot.

Marie Kelly makes the most of surviving the lbw shout, driving Alana King through the covers for four.

That's the spinner finished with figures of 2-30.

  6. Not outpublished at 83 balls

    Phoenix 121-5

No, just a touch of bat as Kelly attempted a reverse sweep.

Prior to that appeal, Ailsa Lister smacked a four between mid-wicket and square.

  7. Rockets reviewpublished at 83 balls

Has Alana King dismissed Marie Kelly?

She's hit the batter on the pad - nothing from the umpire, but Rockets will take a look.

  8. Phoenix 115-5published at 80 balls

Marie Kelly starts her innings well, guiding McCarthy through backward point for four.

Prior to the wicket Ailsa Lister had picked up her first four, edging through a similar area.

That's McCarthy finished with figures of 1-29.

    Ramped straight to the fielder!

Amy Jones tries to clear a short-ish fine leg fielder, but instead guides Cassidy McCarthy's ball to Grace Scrivens.

Birmingham Phoenix are sliding into their tail.

  10. Phoenix 106-4published at 75 balls

Kirstie Gordon comes back on - she's struggled a bit with drifting down leg and Amy Jones sends her first delivery over the ropes with a sweep that goes fine.

That brings up Phoenix's hundred off 71 balls.

The rest of the set is better for Gordon - just three singles off it.

Ailsa Lister is the next batter in - she sweeps King for two off her second ball.

Phoenix have gone from 87-1, with a 50 partnership between Lamb and Perry, to 97-4.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 68 balls

    Kalis c Jones b King 4 (Phoenix 97-4)

It's a short trip to the crease for Sterre Kalis!

She struck Alana King's first ball through mid-on for four, but goes two balls later.

It's a nothing-y chip into the leg side and Emma Jones dives forward at mid-wicket and takes the catch just above the turf.

The umpires check the grab is clean then send Kalis on her way.

  13. Phoenix 93-3published at 65 balls

Sterre Kalis comes to the middle to start a rebuild - Amy Jones is on two at the other end.

The batter blocks out a full delivery to end Graham's set.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 64 balls

    Perry c Jones b Graham 14 (Phoenix 93-3)

And now Ellyse Perry goes - Trent Rockets have worked their way back into this match!

A similar dismissal to Emma Lamb's - she heaves Heather Graham into the hands of Emma Jones at deep mid-wicket.

  15. Phoenix 89-2published at 60 balls

England wicketkeeper Amy Jones comes in at four for Birmingham Phoenix.

She gets going with a single down to long-on.

I'm not really sure Emma Lamb needed to do that. She had already hit the boundary on the ball prior and Ellyse Perry was just getting into her own stride.

Was it a little bit overzealous? Perhaps. Was it a little bit of fatigue? Perhaps.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 58 balls

    Lamb c King b Gardner 55 (Phoenix 87-2)

    But now Emma Lamb departs!

The Phoenix opener had just swept Ash Gardner for her ninth four, but is dismissed by the following delivery.

She goes for the slog sweep and picks out Alana King at mid-wicket, bringing a fine innings to an end.

This is just Emma Lamb’s second fifty in The Hundred, with her first coming against the Southern Brave in 2022.

It is also the fastest fifty of her T20/Hundred career (28 balls), eclipsing her previous best of 31 balls against the South East Stars in 2023.

Birmingham Phoenix will be disappointed with anything less than 150 here.

They have one of the best players in the world in Ellyse Perry at the crease and Emma Lamb is set after her milestone. If these two can stay together, anything is possible.

If they can just keep going for the next 20-30 balls, they could post something huge.

  20. Phoenix 83-1published at 55 balls

A couple more singles finish the set.

This Emma Lamb's 15th 50+ score this season.
