This is going to be a big ask for Trent Rockets.

We were raving about their line-up at the start of this match as well but, when you lose that flurry of wickets, it is so hard to get going again.

  2. Rockets 91-4published at 25 balls left

    Need another 58 to win

Pace off is doing the trick for the Phoenix seamers.

Megan Schutt backs up Ellyse Perry with another very good five, only four from it as they force Nat Sciver-Brunt and Natasha Wraith to generate all the power on the ball.

Birmingham Phoenix are strong favourites on WinViz.

It's starting to look like this chase may be beyond even Nat Sciver-Brunt.

  4. Rockets 87-4published at 30 balls left

    Need another 62 to win

Brilliant five from Ellyse Perry, using all of her experience and skill to slow the Rockets momentum.

Just three singles from that set as she uses her variations to perfection.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is the best player of spin in the women's game at the moment.

She played a hard sweep and pierced the two fielders at deep mid-wicket and deep square leg. Then she played a beautifully lofted drive over the mid-off fielder for two consecutive boundaries.

That's why she is so good. Her footwork is exceptional. Her strength and her power on the back foot is just second to none. I'm a fan.

    Here comes Nat Sciver-Brunt!

Back-to-back boundaries to end Hannah Baker's set - the first nailed in front of square on the sweep before she hammers the second straight back past the bowler.

  7. Rockets 74-4published at 40 balls left

    Need another 75 to win

Trent Rockets are almost halfway to their target after taking four from Mary Taylor's latest five balls.

The problem is that they're already more than halfway through the innings. Nat Sciver-Brunt is still there, though, so you cannot rule them out yet.

  8. Rockets 70-4published at 45 balls left

    Need another 79 to win

Dot ball to finish a good five from Hannah Baker as she raps Natasha Wraith on the pad.

There is an appeal for lbw but it was sliding down leg.

Another catch for Ailsa Lister! She is everywhere.

The Trent Rocket batters are choosing to hit to the wrong fielder here.

    Graham c Lister b Baker 8 (Rockets 70-4)

Hannah Baker goes some way for making up for that drop!

It's a second wicket for the Phoenix spinner as Heather Graham skews the ball into the off side and Aisla Lister takes the catch running back from extra cover.

    Three catches now for Lister.

How costly is that dropped catch going to be? That is going to be playing on Hannah Baker's mind for a long time.

If you are going to target Ellyse Perry, go straight over her head - she isn't going to like that.

If Trent Rockets are going to get over the line here, it is going to have to be Nat Sciver-Brunt's moment. She has to be the mainstay now.

The other players around her will also have to recognise their role though. They are yet to have a meaningful partnership, other than the opening pair, and that's hurting them at the moment.

    Target 149

Nat Sciver-Brunt is already making Phoenix pay.

Full ball of Ellyse Perry's set and she nails the ball back down the ground for four.

  14. dropped catch

Sciver-Brunt dropped on 13published at 55 balls left

    Rockets 60-3

How important a moment could this be in the game?

Nat Sciver-Brunt pulls Em Arlott but top-edges it and the ball goes high into the leg side.

Hannah Baker is the fielder at deep backward square but the ball bursts through her hands.

Massive let off for the England captain.

  15. Rockets 53-3published at 60 balls left

    Target 149

With Ash Gardner gone, the pressure is heaped onto the shoulders of Nat Sciver-Brunt.

Heather Graham is out there to join her as four runs and a wicket come from Hannah Baker's first five balls.

Trent Rockets are making a bit of a hash of this chase.

That was a bit of a sloppy dismissal. Ash Gardner could've hit that anywhere she desired really, but she literally hit is straight to the square leg fielder.

They are making a bit of a mess of this. It hasn't been through good bowling, it is the throwaway dismissals that are hurting them at the minute.

    Ash Gardner goes!

Huge wicket for Birmingham Phoenix as Australia star Gardner pulls a drag-down from Hannah Baker straight to Marie Kelly at square leg.

It was well taken low down but a bit of a gift for the home side.

  18. Rockets 49-2published at 65 balls left

    Target 149

Nat Sciver-Brunt is quickly into her stride at Edgbaston.

The England skipper adds a second boundary, hitting Millie Taylor up and over mid-off for four.

Chasing targets in The Hundred is Nat Sciver-Brunt’s bread and butter. She has a superb record when chasing in this competition:

    • Batting first: Average 41 & strike-rate 123
    • Chasing: Average 56 & strike-rate 151
  20. Rockets 43-2published at 70 balls left

    Target 149

This is the big partnership for Trent Rockets: Nat Sciver-Brunt and Ash Gardner. If these tow stick together for a while then the visitors will fancy their chances.

Sciver-Brunt ends the set by hammering Em Arlott through the leg side for four.
