There was no communication, they were both in position but Usman gets an elbow in the face. It was a nasty one, and you kind of expect the catch to be dropped.

Usman Khan has come off the worst, that was surreal.

Shaheen Afridi and Usman Khan both go for the catch with the former winning the race as Adair goes from Imad Wasim's bowling.

The two fielders collide and Usman Khan requires a bit of treamtent before continuing.

A great bit of bowling, it pitches, turns and Delany was looking to work into the onside but it was a thick leading edge.

Delany will be kicking himself but that was a good innings and just what Ireland needed.

I thought it might have been a good change of bowling and it has proved to be that way.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.3 overs

    Delany c Shadab b Imad 31 (Ire 76-7)

Gareth Delany's fine knock comes to an end as Imad Wasim gets one to turn and the Ireland batter chips it to Shadab Khan at point.

He is striking them really well isn't he? Abbas Afridi didn't quite get it right, it was right in his hitting zone and it wasn't the best of connections but it went 71 metres.

  10. Ire 75-6published at 11.0 overs

A third maximum from Gareth Delany and all of a sudden we have a 43-run partnership for the seventh wicket.

    Much better from Ireland.

If Ireland get 120, it is defendable given the way Pakistan have been playing.

He leapt up and got two hands to it but it's burst through Haris Rauf's hands and onto the boundary sponge.

  14. Ire 59-6published at 10.0 overs

Dropped catch from Haris Rauf, another difficult one, on the boundary and Mark Adair survives.

It was in the slot but Shadab Khan has turned around to Delany and almost gone, 'how dare you?!'

But it was in his hitting arc.

Great pickup from Delany. Clears his front leg and heaves it into the leg side.
